do you have the hostfs cheat and the option enabled?
there is a option in PCSX2 to enable hostfs
Did that
ok, take screenshot of:
- aemulus mod list
- aemulus config
- PCSX2 game properties
- PCSX2 config
and if it is possible, send the guide you used too
PCSX2 -> right click on the game -> properties -> summary
PCSX2 -> Settings -> Emulation
Wdym with the last two?
Like anything specific?
oh sorry, I mean these menus
The summary menu?
and settings -> emulation too
This is the guide
are you using the portable version of PCSX2? you have cheats folder in PCSX2 folder (where the exe is) and textures folder in Documents/PCSX2
Also, the textures folders is wrong. It must be "textures/SLUS-21621/replacements"
How do I check if I have the portable?
I just downloaded a version that was on a thread when trying to find someone with the same problem
Because I now have 2 PCSX2s
OK srry for the wait @prime comet
You can check it in PCSX2 Settings -> Folders
It'd be something like this
These folders must match with the ones you have set in aemulus
(And you must copy the HostFS patch to the cheats folder)
next, build the mods in aemulus and check if you have cheats in the cheat folder
if so, check if the mods work ingame
btw if the folders are in Documents, then you're not using the portable version of pcsx2
Yeah, you should also change the folder of the textures in Graphics -> Texture Replacement -> Search Directory
This folder in aemulus must be: users...\Documents\PCSX2\textures\SLUS-21621\replacements
It is checked
ok, now build the mods in Aemulus and check if they're working
don't put your .elf in a separate folder, it goes in your output folder
you also don't need pcsx2 v1.7, newer releases work just fine
It does?
So it hasn’t worked because I put the elf somewhere else and the texture path wasn’t in the right place
The second one I got but the elf part I dont get
I thought it didn’t matter like most games
Now it works! So moral of the story is put ELF in mod folder and texture path at the replacement part. Thanks @sly bay @astral root
you're welcome! tbh the instructions are a bit confusing
Most instructions for games like this are confusing like it did take me an embarrassingly long time to mod the PSP version of P3P and install P5 EX
