gfd studio is very bare bones if you want to do more advanced editign you'll need to use gfs tools for blender

it's also a good test for if your model with load in the game at all

The goal of that option is to replace the Joker navi lines with Violet's

But since it's Rose and I just replaced "Joker" with "Rose", it's going to conflict

Dialogue is called by the encounter script, so if that mod changes the script, then it would mess with the dialogue.

It might be why or it might be something else. The notification tone causes sounds and dialogues from the base game (=unmodded files) to get muted, in palace or in the overworld. Try disabling that option and see if it still happens. If not, we'll test more things

Well, restarting the game will probably fix the issue for the few scenes, but we saw during testing that the issue appears again later. Disabling the option was the only way to reliably fix the issue

||The twist is that Briar isn't actually Kasumi's 2nd or 3rd awakening, but more of an alternate persona.||
||Anastasie is her accepting her disgrace to follow her justice and her hope for reconciliation with Sumire. She has the most potential for growth because she is a low level persona (= she can gain levels and grow in the way you want).||
||Briar is the disgrace (the curse) being forced upon her and failing to accept it . It is her despair at struggling to find a place in a world that rejects her and at not finding a way to reconnect with Sumire. It has a lower potential for growth because it is a high level persona (close to level cap). In a certain way, Briar's more fitting for the end of the 2nd semester as Kasumi is nowhere close to understanding why Sumire is acting so weird. She can also be considered her persona if Kasumi never became a Phantom Thief.||

I don't think anyone has tried it yet. It's a bit tricky because the location of the eyes needs to be aligned with where the blinking is positioned.
On the two images below, I've made the default bustup (no blinking) and L7M3 (blinking) overlap. It might be worth trying moving the portrait up a bit, but it still need further adjustments to fit with the blinking boxes

Yeahh i realized when I looked at the files that it's a lot more work than just adding new eyes haha. Well I still have all the other portraits to do, but I've got smth for the default ponytail bustup! I sized her down to line up the eyes. I haven't looked at the rest of the portraits but I think they're doable, it's just a lot of detail work and may take some time

The green area is where the tile switches between each. The placement is annoying on the bottom, but if you count the edge pixels, lining them up is not too bad. I also recommend making a separate file being 1536x3072, since the original Joker portrait fits right in, then all you need to do is resize the portrait you want, and create the blinking

If you can do them all, I'm definitely willing to add them to mods. There's no rush though, so you can your time with them.
Also, it might be possible to reuse some of that "blinking" for the long hair variant since it's the same pose with just a different hair, if you want to edit them too.

Also, you don't need to add the blinking to CUTIN_005_000.DDS since it's the fogged up glasses bustup used in Maruki's rank 10. Kasumi doesn't wear glasses so the eyes need to be "in place" already because there's no blinking even with Joker

Throughout the third semester, Kasumi doesn't know if stopping Maruki will return her to death or not, and she struggles with the decision to potentially save her own life or help Sumire face the truth.||

Also, that's a cool twist! I've seen a few other people thinking she would die at the end of the game. It was kinda surprising to me because I decided against killing her (or making timeline/reality stuff) very early in the mod development, so I haven't given much thoughts to that potential twist.
Like you said, there's also the barrier that is event editing. It makes deviating from the base story a lot harder. Otherwise, it's a lot of writting about stuff you can't show on screen, and I already felt Maruki's explanations were already a bit like that, ahah

I made a completely new event, then I went to the scheduler (the file that handles what happens each day), removed the line that played the animated cutscene and played the event instead

So techincally, it's doable with all the other animated cutscenes, but it's going to be a lot of event editing

And some cutscenes will need to be adapted, like Futaba's palace collapsing. I don't see how I can replicated the characters running down the side of the pyramid (or entering the Morgana car "backside", for that matter)

The winter casual model is used during the epilogue, so C0001_004_00.GMD. It's already used by Protag Kasumi, but you could add a new model (say, C0001_014_00.GMD) which would be Sumire and make that one be used instead

I've seen a few fanarts where Kasumi has a leg prosthetics. It certainly means she'll never be able to do gymnastics ever again. She would relate to Ryuji with his leg, but that would also lessen Ryuji's own struggle with his leg (you can even see him limp a bit when he's running)

Ok so whenever you go to sleep instead of just skipping the day or giving a random stat/confidant points there would be a bunch of “dreams” that could happen
Sometimes it would be an event with various amounts of changes, or it could be a battle against a random enemy
Would also be a good place for some unused events, since some of them are slightly different versions of story events that don’t really have a good place to go

Like for example, you go to sleep sometime during/after saes palace, and your dream could be the event where you play poker against her shadow

Or maybe, you fight a shadow okumura by yourself (only the shadow himself) and he has a completely new moveset

Updated the alternate twist mod. At a comment's suggestion, ||I added the thieves confronting kasumi about not telling them she could die. Takes place after she's released from juvie. In retrospect, I should have had this from the start.||

Basically a larger version of the player character not telling their partner theyre going to turn themselves in during the original ending
