I've been working on this off and on, and I feel that it's time to make a thread instead of just posting everything on Mod sharing.

I've done most of the easy stuff, like getting the basic animations done, the all-out attack working
even got the menu to display Ren instead of Sumi.
I want to use the victory animations from P5x but that's been giving me trouble, so right now I want him to hold his dagger.

Ooooh very cool! Outta curiosity, how did you replace the AoA finisher? I was able to swap Joker and Violet's BCD files in P5EX, but that trick doesn't seem to work with Royal, even when swapping both the BCD and EPL files.

Honestly, I think I just got luck
I didn't replace the BCD file for Joker, it only has the EPL
The main thing I did was call the edit the BCD file for the Sumi mod to call the Hero file name

Hey, I do that all the time for personal use, since its a good way to learn how mods works. I just wouldn't post it without express consent from the mod creator.

I do hope this project can help with that one (get the battle stuff out the way)
But this project is kind of a two-step plan for me as well

You could hop on the discord and offer to contribute if you want! A lot of the battle stuff is done, albeit incomplete, so I reckon the team would appreciate even small contributions. But that's up to you.

Now I got his name on the menu screen
He is also making curry and coffee on the field
from what I've tested, he is also following Kawakami's schedule at night

well replacing the confidant does a lot of it I am sure
And Kawakami has romance flags so if you just did a confidant mod it could also be a "romance Ren" mod
You could also use each aspect to aboid getting frustrated.
