P3Fes mods not working at all

sleek parcel

have you checked the post in #announcements?

scenic knoll
#

i running on pcsx2 1.6.0 for good measure

sleek parcel
#

from your screenshots, i see two issues

scenic knoll
sleek parcel
#

1.) you don't have your elf file
2.) your pcsx2 path is to pcsx2 1.7

not having it would explain mods not working

alright, if you did it correctly, try launching the game through aemulus

#

you should (hopefully) see mods load

...do you have the hostfs cheat and have hostfs enabled...?

i'm so confused right now

ok if you're using 1.7, don't launch from aemulus

what version of 1.7 are you on

scenic knoll
#

1.7.5397

sleek parcel
#

downgrade to the version mentioned in #announcements

scenic knoll
#

arent i supposed to load textures?

scenic knoll
#

1.6 i go

sleek parcel
#

no it's easier to downgrade to the version of 1.7

thanks. I see a couple of issues here I think. (if I'm reading this correctly)

  • your cheats folder should be set to the cheats folder for PCSX2 1.7, not 1.6
  • your elf should be in your output folder
sleek parcel
#

1.6 is kinda old and the current modding guide doesn't cover 1.6

#

generally I think it's good practice to keep everything inside the correct pcsx2 folder just to keep things organized. or however you want to do it.

the modding guide suggests putting everything inside the pcsx2 root directory, while this isn't strictly necessary it might make things a little easier

im on 1.7.333

wow that just. didn't embed at all, did it

#

your paths should look roughly like this. they do not need to look exactly like this but you can kinda see how

  • the p3f elf path is inside the output folder
  • the cheats folders lead to the respective folders inside the pcsx2 directory
  • the textures path is specific as the emulator loads from that path; your current path is incorrect and pcsx2 will not load the correct textures
scenic knoll
#

did that

#

btw my textures are empty but all the mods are downloaded

hoary anchor
#

did you rebuild after changing all your paths?

scenic knoll
#

i used this for p4g and it was way more straight forward

hoary anchor
#

yeah, the persona games on steam are much more straightforward to mod than p3f just bc you're not working with an emulator

scenic knoll
#

@hoary anchor YOU DID IT THANK YOU

hoary anchor
#

glad you were able to get everything figured out :)

scenic knoll
#

my one issue atm

#

cut scenes are blank

hoary anchor
#

that would be a problem 🤔
do they load without mods?

scenic knoll
#

prolly ill check in a sec

#

oh btw how can i tell what mods i got installed atm?

hoary anchor
#

only through aemulus; any checked mod was used in your last build (unless you changed what mods were enabled/disabled)
