#How do I change Romance IDs with 010 Editor?

Help... I beg
Yeah I've been following that and it hasn't helped unfortunately
It's not that clear for a noob like me so if you have any tips or a tutorial I'd be really appreciative!
I need more detail on what you're trying to do and what you're having trouble with
So I'm trying to add a Sae romance into the game by replacing one of the other romances
Does that make sense?
what have you done so far?
I got here and I've been stuck
I've been theory crafting with the Confidant numbers but I'm prob not using them right
The "21" and "15" are Sae's SL numbers
I'm gonna go to bed now since it's 5 am my time and I've been at this for hours so if you send anything I'll check in the morning ^^ (please send something :...)
i wait I just remembered sae already has a romance slot (21 -> 32) so you don't need to replace one
so you won't need the unhardcoded toolkit for that
so if someone were to want to make someone else romancable, they'd have to replace one of the slots. Is there any restriction on what the ID can be, or is it just excluding the already used IDs?
the id has to be one of the already use ones (1-37)
22-32 are the friendzone ids so those are the ones you'd want to replace
got it!
wouldn't it be better to replace the non-friendzone ones for a romance you want to replace though? Assuming that would also come with flowscript editing.
all the female confidants use the romance ids by default, and are switched to the friendzone one after rank 9 if you don't romance
So how would I get the romance to be started in game?
there's quite a lot to do. my unhardcoded stuff documentation goes over a lot of it
Could you break it down by any chance?
I don't really know where to begin lol
Is it cmmFormat.ctd?
probably
Where did you find this part?
try this template
Thank you I'll check it out now ^ ^
Just so I know, how do I properly run a template?
This is what I'm looking at if you wanted to know where I'm at
You need to use personaeditor to extract cmmFormat from cmm.bin first
To run the template click on the blue arrow at the top right of the floating tab
Ahhh okay
I'll do that now and update you ^ ^
Okay I extracted the cmmFormat
What's next?
Sorry if this is a bother @trim widget
I'm happy to point people in the right direction or take a look at something if something's not working as expected, but I'm not interested in handholding.
I appreciate your help though
