I'm new to modding Persona games. I've followed all the steps in Phoenix's guide but none of the mods seem to work for me.
Phoenix's guide: https://youtu.be/IQ-XzslciHw

Persona 3 modding is surprisingly easy, if you don't know how to use 7zip please don't comment.

You need to enable them

#

The ones you want at least

topaz marlin
#

I did enable them

#

As a test run, I enabled only the original opening+ package and it still doesn't work

topaz marlin
#

Also I don't know if I should've done this but I've configured paths to all that was there

Well I think I got the HD mod to work, but everything else doesn't seem to work :\

viscid niche
#

how are you launching the game?

topaz marlin
#

Tried launching through Aemulus

viscid niche
#

you need to launch the ELF from pcsx2 after setting the disc path option

#

it's in the guide

topaz marlin
#

Would that mean "start file" -> P3 ELF file?

viscid niche
#

add the folder your elf is in to your game list, then just launch it like you would an ISO

topaz marlin
#

Doesn't seem as though the ELF file doesn't want to run for me

#

I just get a black screen

viscid niche
#

you need to set the disc path option to your ISO then

#

again, it's covered in the guide i sent, read it

topaz marlin
#

Like this?

viscid niche
#

yes

topaz marlin
#

Still doesn't seem to work for me

viscid niche
#

you have host file system enabled in your emulation system and have the hostFS cheat in your folder?

topaz marlin
#

Also have these two in the cheats_ws folder

viscid niche
#

both of these are on?

viscid niche
topaz marlin
viscid niche
#

can I see the contents of the folder your ELF is in?

topaz marlin
viscid niche
#

your aemulus paths are wrong then

#

all of your mods files should be in there

topaz marlin
#

ELF needs to be in mods folder right?

viscid niche
#

yes

#

did you ever hit build in aemulus?

topaz marlin
#

No I thought that would delete the ISO

viscid niche
#

🤦‍♂️

#

it won't delete the iso or elf

#

you really shouldn't have the iso in your mods folder anyways tho

topaz marlin
#

Alright I clicked build

#

I guess it was that I saw the word "delete" and the mod folder so I thought it would delete itself (don't know how that would make sense though thinking about it right now)

viscid niche
#

close pcsx2 if you have it open, and make sure your antivirus isn't messing with that folder

topaz marlin
#

Says it's being used in another process

viscid niche
#

then close that other process

#

it's most likely pcsx2 or whatever anti-virus you're using

#

or onedrive if you're in a one drive backed up folder

topaz marlin
viscid niche
#

try rebooting then ig

topaz marlin
#

You mean the Aemulus?

viscid niche
#

no, you're entire computer

#

aemulus just dies sometimes and the only real way to fix it is rebooting

topaz marlin
#

well then...
ok

#

gimme a sec

#

Still doesn't build

viscid niche
#

i got nothing then

#

go report the issue on aemulus' github ig

topaz marlin
#

ok

#

is there a link you can send me?

viscid niche
#

it's the link you downloaded aemulus from.....

topaz marlin
#

oh ok thanks

#

I'll try out the discord there

topaz marlin
#

Real quick, think deleting and reinstalling Aemulus might work?

viscid niche
#

it might

topaz marlin
#

Ok

topaz marlin
#

Just curious, do I have to press build everytime I add a mod?

viscid niche
#

yes

topaz marlin
#

I figured out the problem

viscid niche
#

what was it

topaz marlin
#

Aemulus didn't like that the output was where I put Aemulus in

viscid niche
#

oh yeah, that'd cause issues

topaz marlin
#

Ok, I think I made progress (Tested with xbox button prompts)

#

For now, I'd say this is relatively solved

#

Thanks for the help
