to keep the purple color just add p1 role

then to complete it add a role for each version of p2 (dark blue for IS PSX, dark red for EP PSX, orange for IS PSP, grey for EP PSP)

What if we make this like a power scaling thing

When you make your first mod you get weak purple then the stronger you get and the modder you become you get a stronger shade of purple

Eventually the purplest will also be the moddest I think this is a wonderful strategy, thoughts?

I've had people in my PMs getting anxious over them not getting the verified modder role

Practically it's next to useless, gives you a new color and a new channel plus the ability to share your GB mods on mod feed

However that doesn't change it's gotten the reputation of being a gate between the cool kids and the nerds for reasons I can only tie to humans being naturally insecure

It's true you can see the verified modder role as a "guarantee" of someone knowing what they're talking about but here's the thing

It's given so arbitrarily it doesn't really say much by itself. There's no official requirement nor expected skill level

For example

I've personally used all of these tools to mod and datamine Golden and know my way around them but I'm not purple

Then there's people who have the role and literally haven't used modding tools (you can also get it for documenting stuff)

But yeah point still stands. Verified Modders works on paper but then the amount of insecurity I see it generate is insane so anything we can do to trivialize it I see it as a good thing

imo you just need to make it more concrete, like the B&S discord modder roles. They have 'publish a mod with x amount of downloads' or 'publish x amount of mods' or 'be nominated for it by x person' and there's a lot less discourse over there because people know what they have to do to get the role
