Normally the most that would happen is an awkward snap back to Joker's anims
Seems to be affecting later game cutscenes too...? I haven't noticed anything in the Kamoshida or Madarame arc (which is where I'm at on my NG+ save)
Well over here it's all fine until some cutscenes in Sae arc
Guess I'll temporarily stop until next fix to avoid awkwardness
I mean I can't guarantee the next fix will be anytime soon

They're happening because I replaced a bunch of Joker anims with Kasumi's
Specific files seem to be causing it
I'm just not sure why it would be nuking the entire mesh

this happens in every cutscene in between after defeating the holy grail and before sataneal
Can you also check if it happens in 3rd sem
but it only happens on that one animation once she starts standing normally she gains her hair back
I'm just gonna make an add-on that reverts the anims

The only bad thing about the new Fem protag mod is it's very janky with the animations other than that it's amazing

been playing the mod, and for some reason the level up icon for after you've used Instant Kill does not have Kasumi as the Protag as the level up image as normal

Yeah the mini icon, i havent tried instant kill with kasumi on foot so i wouldnt know about that part if thats what your asking
Confirmed it for you, instakill on foot is also unreplaced
The instakill icon uses a different spd than the normal results screen for some reason. The file pathway for it is: EN.CPK/FIELD/PANEL/INST_KILL_RESULT/FIELD_SNUFF.spd

I honestly just looked into removing the cutins because of how annoying and redundant they are
Not only that but they harm the game's pacing for no actual reason
They're fine in chapter 1 when everything is still being setup but afterwards they're completely unneeded
I do plan on making the Sae interrogation "rewrite" and then making another rewrite mod for some scenes if they need it
The main scene I'm thinking of is that really stupid exposition dump with Shido and Akechi right after the PTs trick Akechi
This entire scene has to be some of the worst writing in the entire game
Atlus seems to really struggle with show don't tell
Yeah, this scene is the only thing I dislike about P5. It's so pointless, lol. Like Joker could ask why he's obsessed with Shido, and then Atlus could make and add an anime cutscene going over his backstory.

I made a quick edit for Sumire versions of most of the bust ups if anyone wants to use them

honestly I feel you could remove most of the scenes from the anatagonists' perspectives and the story would be better for it
most of them feel like the Dr. Evil scenes from Austin Powers but played seriously
That's really just because they're poorly executed
They're definitely needed for the villains but some kinda just come across as "oh look at me im so evil muahahahaha"
Which I mean is the point for some of them
But with Shido especially its just like

I'm playing P5S for the first time and while I don't really care about the tony stark villain guy (im doing his jail rn) one thing I can give him is that he's like

Which led to one of the coolest and most tense moments in the game so far
I think I'm kinda picking up on what angle they're going with for him and while I don't reaaaally see it I do appreciate the lack of "two villains talking about their shared criminal history together while revealing nothing to one another"
P5 spends so much time on Shido in December which makes sense but in virtually every scene he's doing absolutely nothing
He's either:
- Revealing exposition to the audience
or
2. Talking about how EVIL he is (either through other characters constantly praising him or him just threatening people lol)

though I'm usually all P5'd out by the end of playthroughs
yeah I'd say Akechi was handled significantly better (at least for most of the game) than Shido and especially the SIU director and principal
honestly not even really sure why the SIU director needed to exist

my friend has tried to convince me to play it but he's also a huge persona fan

I personally heavily disagree on the matter of villains
Since it puts more emphasis that they're not necessarily terrible people, but their vulnerabilities are used against them, turned into tools of disaster
Honestly they just come across as boring and petty imo
The game does delve into why they've been made into monarchs but it never really did anything for me
I really prefer P5's villains where they really just serve as a critique of society and threaten the protags in an effective manner (even if formulaically)
3rd monarch is definitely one of the more interesting ones though
I feel like only really Alice falls flat
Ango's thing is that basically, originality is never appreciated, driving him to plagiarize because "what's the point in actually trying for people who are this ungrateful?"
Mariko's case is a situation where she tightens safety measures just so that she doesn't have to feel responsible for another accident that wasn't her fault
And it kinda goes on and on like this
It's a critique on society in a different manner from the Palace Rulers
Mariko is definitely my favourite one
It's much harder to want to take her down because of how she treats Haru

They're also the foils of their respective characters but I just found that to be reaaaaally on the nose for the first two

Either way, they're not, like, as evil as the Palace Rulers, which is the point

Because they aren't really meant to be directly challenging those ideals

They serve as foils to those characters
But without challenging the heroes ideals or even just making them ask questions the villain isn't doing much
Which is whats making them so boring
I do like the idea of a more redeemable antagonist compared to the palace rulers
It was just kinda poorly executed
Because that's not really the point of most of them - they aren't there to directly question an ideal that's already been solidified and ironed out with time

That also being said, you cannot do rehashes either, because then it basically makes everything in P5 pointless

Also the mystery they were setting up was shrouded in so much uh

Either way, I dislike P5S for everything BUT the characters

Minmaxing is absolutely horrendous in P5S
She's pretty interesting and definitely the highlight of the game but also kinda weak imo
Like, you jump through literal hoops just to minmax one thing
I think a large part of that is her lack of screentime
And actual bonding with the PTs
Part of why Maruki is so effective is because you voluntarily got to bond with him and even see him interact with the PTs on a personal level
||Honestly, Ichinose is kinda painfully relatable - I relate with her constant lingering thought that real people will never be something she'll understand, and in return, no one will understand her either||
His ideals are also rock solid and serve as a genuine challenge to the PTs ideals but the fact that the player gets to know him personally is a very big part of why he's so good
But yeah I beat P5S a bit ago

The ones where she clips into the floor probably can't be fixed by just moving the entire anim up though
Since that could mess with her standing position and whatnot
And I dunno if it counts… outfits going weird (flipped up as if they’re still sitting) while another anim is playing instead

So I tried using a costume mod (has the whole gang's) with this one the other day while also manually changing some files (so that 0010's costumes a.k.a. Party member Kasumi applies to 0001's a.k.a. Joker/Protag Kasumi) and it actually worked... should I expect some unseen issues

Pretty much just put the outfit file over the winter outfit file using GFDStudio then boom you profit.

There's really not much I can do
I changed it's orientation so it would face the right way when it's used in a Kasumi anim
There's a lot of Joker anims so even if I do actually tweak anims the problem probably won't fully go away for a while
Also ideally I'd like to get 0.3 out sometime in July
Not sure if I will though kinda lost interest and motivation for this mod but I would like to at least get that out so the audio thing is fixed
Also I've had a github repo for the mod and will probably public it when 0.3 releases
So people can contribute in an easier way if they want

To be honest the mod is in a pretty good spot for me personally despite some of the visual stuff

gonna work on v0.3 this week 
these are the main goals i've outlined on my trello:
- Moving all of the voice lines to a separate mod DL, ENG only for now
- Field voice lines will no longer use Femulator as it still breaks playback for some reason (this'll cause the mod to be bigger)
- Tweak some animations like the classroom sitting anim, Sumi showtime anim, and a few others
- Potentially fix the hair/skirt bones resetting position or freezing whenever playing a Joker anim
- Fix the party hud (thanks to xJustAdam)
It's mainly a polish update but I hope to release the femc outfit after FERM is out
I think v0.3 might be the last "wip" version as I'd like to focus on polishing anims in the next update afterwards
That's the main thing I feel really needs to be fixed
Once that's fixed I feel like I can safely go ahead and make it a full v1.0 release
If you ever find a way to fix the bones from resetting position, tell me. I am looking for a solution to that as well, and will notify you if I figure out a way.

not all physics are baked
on anims where they arent baked, the physics chunks will take over
oh interesting
but then what causes skirts & hair to just freeze or reset? do those bones still need keyframes to prevent that from happening
since now that you mention it i have noticed that the prisoner kasumi outfit does have some physics to it when walking around

Its fixed once I replace with kasumi anims or nuke specific controllers

i've nuked so many controllers atp for animation 18 and the bug is still there
specifically chose that one since its the solo win anim so its easier for me to see if the bones freeze like this

i think i kinda get it from what i gleamed from femc, kasumi, and the prisoner outfit
idk what the field values mean though
you should very much not make skirt physic chunk
the physics engine isnt built for it
the only reason femc has it is to give movement because im not baking skirt anims into every overworld anim
so flowly clipping > stiff clipping
it will also make it clip on normal kasumi anims because physics chunks still effect normal anims
so unless you want to manually adjust every anim lol

still being active during normal anims

granted the game does reuse a lot of the same animations for field anims but

anyways ENG vo will be a separate download and will use the packed awb until FEmulator works with single voice line

i just deleted two of the four eye controllers and killed most of the mouth controllers
might re-animate them but the anim works good enough now

i was gonna bake physics for this one but the jacket bones/mesh kept stretching out like this
this happened for the special gun anim thingy but i somehow fixed it
i dont remember how i fixed it though
the akechi one just needs more work in general
i'll probably have to move the arm so the grappling hook is actually drawn correctly
and ofc fix the weapons disappearing and reappearing (i have no idea why that happens
)

The flame cutin mod changes the gmd that shows the sprites. This is what happens when you use the vanilla cutins with the changed gmd. So if you want the P5T Cutin with sumis face you can rename the dds from the mod from "BCT_P_BC0010.dds" to "BCT_P_BC0001.dds"

Just wanted to share some stuff I've been working on for this, with Wisteria's blessing!
Some stuff shown here:
- Fixed melee attack damage timing
- Replaced Joker's gun sounds
- Replaced most, if not all, of Joker's remaining VO outside of events (including the additional lines added by CBT)
- Replaced Arsene with Cendrillon with an altered awakening scene
- Utilizing costume framework (to replace CBT costumes and to add FeMC's outfit with P3 BGM)
Outside of that I've replaced a lot of UI elements like the icons for Joker's weapons, the names of costumes, the load screen wipes and icon, flashback images, and I've hidden Joker in the pause menu.
I've also swapped around some animations I noticed were being used in the wrong places. 
also make sure to instruct people to rename/copy the Sumire costume folder to Joker on any costume mods they want to use
also shouldn’t it be playing Wiping All Out not Mass Destruction FES? (though i’m not sure if you’re just reusing the base game music)
Yeah that's the plan to use Wiping All Out for that costume

Joker's anims caused her hair to clip through her face at times
Plus I just removed the loading wipe of Joker's silhouette so it's a less jarring transition
id say the wipe is too integeral to the scenes
its less seamless yes but its such an important part of the transition visually
I did want to replace it but the wipe is a 3d asset which is pretty out my comfort zone
Also I updated hundreds of event animations today so there's less janky animations
I'll be seeing gap files in my sleep
should be possible to some extent using the EPL editor

i remember them not existing for some reason

once she moves her head down it works
