Hi, I've been trying to set up mods for Persona 4 Golden, and unfortunately can't get past the very first step; Launching Aemulus itself. Whenever I go to launch the AemulusPackageManager.exe file, it comes up with a crash. I've downloaded all dependencies and I'm using 6.4.0. Here are screenshots of the two crash notifications:

Have you run the prerequisite installer?
no, I'll see if that does anything though
So I tried that just now, didn't change anything
BLAIZE MAYES??? IN PERSONA MODDING???
holy shit
hi dude lol
i'm trying to think of why aemulus might not be working for you...
@dusty narwhal would you happen to know anything?
is there a specific folder it needs to be in?
I have it in a sub-folder in the same desktop folder I keep Reloaded-II in
I actually turned OneDrive off because I thought that might be the issue
I'll try the latter option, then
well that didn't change anything
same exact crash as before
I also specifically allowed Aemulus in Windows Firewall and that didn't change anything either
there is
okay, different crash this time
but the second window popup (I think) is the same
C:\Persona Modding\AemulusPackageManagerv6.4.0
should it be Mods specifically?
that didn't change anything
github
this should be it, yes?

Try deleting the Config folder
Hmm looks like it’s failing to make a web request for an image. Do you have any mods inside Aemulus or is this a brand new install
while I didn't install anything for Aemulus, I did install these in Reloaded II. would that have anything to do with it?
It shouldn’t
I made this show messages to indicate which part of the process its in when initializing. Let me know if you see any messages before the crash
Well, let's see here...
I got these two
which I think is just
what they were before
to begin with, I mean
hmm didnt even reach the messages
deleting the config folder and file results in the same crash as before as well
I have used the all-in-one installer, though
unless there's some other installer I need to use?
alright
I have no idea what's going on, you keep getting different error messages and I've never seen anyone have this issue before
I've only really been getting 3 separate messages
one for with the config, one for without, and then one that shows up regardless
didn't change a thing
I really hope it's not some obscure issue with the PC itself
then you can try running DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /Restorehealth after the command above as well
both find and fix files in windows
you might need to run powershell as admin? i forget if it's necessary or not
now to do this
let's hope this fixes your aemulus
often times the files it can't fix may stay like that until you reinstall windows, but i hope they aren't actually broken files like me 4 windows installs ago :,)
I genuinely have no clue sorry
well
guess I'll just wait until the new version has mod support, I guess
which will probably just use reloaded-II itself?
since I assume it's built similarly to the Royal port
sad, but I guess that's just
what I have to do
if only I could use it to begin with
i could build mods for you if you want blaize lol
actually wait
i have an idea
fuck what version of aemulus added 1-click support
we can have blaize try using that version and updating
v5.0 was 1-click
@unreal valley would you mind trying to download a rather old version of aemulus? i just wanna test if older builds will load on your machine and if newer components are messing with it
this is 4.0.9, before 1-click installation was added to it
https://github.com/TekkaGB/AemulusModManager/releases/download/4.0.9/AemulusPackageManagerv4.0.9.7z
sure
we can slowly move up through the versions if this works :)
although the prereqs might have changed over time but those are easy to install
still crashed
what the-
looks like a similar version of the previous crash
as well as... a new one?
7zip
that should almost certainly work better than winrar at extracting
i wonder what the hell is happening
for some reason i see people online saying 'if you're getting a 'configuration system failed to initialize' error, run a dism check, then run sfc cuz it fixes some sfc files
so idk maybe try running sfc /scannow again to see if it fixes all errors this time?
is your config file empty? can you send it to me?
just to let you know that mods have been slowly getting added to reloaded ii so you can probably start playing modded now if you'd like :)
oh yeah don't worry, I have been
What's the status of this thread? Do you still need it open?
