Unsure if this is related to https://discord.com/channels/746211612981198989/1046823630522298499 because downgrading doesn't seem to fix it.

Made the mistake of not being happy with a good thing that works and updated reloaded ii from like 1.22.3 to 1.23.4. had to update .Net for reloaded to launch, but once I did the game no longer launches.

As far as I can tell reloaded opens just fine and completes it's job but once p5r actually launches it crashes to desktop before it even reaches the little loading graphic. No error popup or anything, it just closes.

I've attempted to run the game with and without mods enabled in reloaded with no luck, and even downgraded back to 1.22.3 but it still doesn't want to launch.
The game DOES launch on a fresh install with no reloaded hook.

Here is the reloaded ii log I pulled, but it doesn't seem to show any errors either.

This is all on steam deck/Linux btw.

when in doubt, delete the prefix (backup your save if you'd like), run the game to reestablish a fresh prefix, reinstall vc redists and .net 7

I've done this more times than I'd like, and 1.22.9 runs every time

So nuke the prefix and stick with 1.22.9 until your issue is solved?

you just need the 2 VC files and the 2 .net 7 (final, not rc2) files

Somehow the game is still crashing on launch. It's starting to smell like a nuke the whole deck and start over kinda problem

I mean since I reinstalled the game and don't have the loader deployed anymore, yes.

But it did the same thing with the loader

If I launch directly through steam without a loader the game launches just fine

and probably the steam ID number

Weird, I'll try reinstalling on my main deck memory instead because that's where it used to be

I don't think Protontricks has perms to the SD card by default

and if you're running it that way, you're going to be limited by Protontricks's permissions

which also probably has other unintended issues because then Steam stuff won't be where it's expected

Well I reinstalled persona and the prereqs but it looks like reloaded is still throwing up a steam hook error

I swear to god my copy is legal you can literally see it on steam in the bg of my video

I don't know what I could have changed to make it unable to find it in my library

Steam is in online mode and everything
