#The melee problem

So, as everyone is saying the Berserker is underwhelming, as the leaderboards suggest ranger is the strongest char at the moment, the reason why is simple, the single target DPS is stupid high, and the mobs scaling the is busted.

The problem is not the ranger, the problem is the balance, ranger is the answer, she's not popular, she, hands down, is the best char, it has far greater range than anyone, is the fastest and has good single target dps, the problem is that other chars are underpowered or the enemies to over powered, making the ranger too, overpowered.

My suggestion is not to nerf ranger, but to buff the others, specially melees, Ghost Samurai isn't even out and I can smell the disappointment.

The problem with melee being that the damage they do is mostly resisted, the damage the enemies to is far greater than the average life pull of a melee. Melee chars need some kind of damage reduction, suggestions:

  • Percentage of the normal swing weapon's damage counts towards damage reduction, if multiple are equipped use the one on the J or Z letter to count (best would be to let the player decide).
  • Percentage damage reduction for melees, like, melee's take x% decreased damage, and the weapon enchants double dip on it.

This would:

  • Implement the tank role.
  • Make melee suitable for ultimate rampage scaling.
  • Allow melee to get into melee damage without exploding.
  • Level the playing field between melee and ranged.
  • Allow the game to be more strat focused, not just ranger swarm.
  • Allow enemy body blocked to be removed and pathing be fixed.

I see why people would like the game to be vanilla, I really do, but things aren't just as we remember them to be, at least it is my opinion and the one's who i chat with, that's why I'm making this suggestion.

Furthermore i see why such implementation would be a project of it's own, but nonetheless here is my sincere contribution.

By frontline, you mean, he pulled the mobs are stayed behind a wall? Body blocking or something else?
This picture, in my opinion, highlights 2 problems, people are trolling (I assume looking at sowci, there is no reason for them to not fill all slots even with it was just a blue or normal staff would be better than nothing at all), devs can't really fix that, archer too strong in comparison to everyone.
I mean 600 kills to 111 and 238 is crazy, looks like only one person was playing, when it was a group effort.
