#Difficulty and gold

A poll was made to gauge if players think the game is balanced and I've also seen people bring up gold relatively frequently. Perhaps a way to go about this is to expand the campaign into a "normal" and "hard" mode. It would mean 2 different options per map. In a way this means the campaign is twice as long, hence more content. The people who struggle can return to the start of the campaign later when they've hit a higher level to finish hard mode if they couldn't initially.

You can play a campaign on hard mode for more of a challenge and/or more of a reward. This means people who are maxed out can grind for more gold, while simultaneously being challenged.

Although some things, such as high level players "carrying" lower level players through some maps could mean the game becomes even more snowball for people who don't actually care to play the campaign normally. Another thing is that you'll have players spread out more and you might run into fewer teammates as a result. I'm sure there's other issues though, would love to hear other opinions.

My point is mostly that increasing the difficulty, could also address the gold "issues" at the same time. Of course, difficulty (and gold) can be tackled in many other ways. I'm not a programmer, but I thought this might be a relatively simple fix, you'd have to copy+paste the campaign and tweak numbers for both. I'm curious if anyone else has any ideas to tackle difficulty.

If something along these lines is implemented, the team could play around with a second legendary chest per character when you clear hard mode! 😮

I really liked the idea of incremental coin increase, I saw it somewhere in the idea-list. Rather than just getting x gold for y unit, you actually just get more gold the further into the campaign you are. Could do the same with UR where you get a 1.1x multiplier in round 1 and 1.2x in round 2 etc

How about the campaign rewards you with low-rarity keys on occasion?

So you're encouraged to spend them while going through the campaign
