What would be the best combination to make my sword do the most damage possible? I only have the base mod without any extensions. 1.20.1

First, I'm not sure if it's okay to leave my question here. In any case, sorry. Second, this is the one I'm using, but I'd like to have a bit more damage.

it's really as simple as delay followed by your favorite damage spell, if max damage is your goal

delay:spark::discharge:amplifyx2 for example. I love throwng in debuffs like snare, or knockback because I prefer to cast at a distance

launchdelaywind_shearamplifyx2gravityextend_time is another nice one
For more status effects throw in ignite and [envenom]x2, and why not dispel before applying your debuffs too (it'll get rid of their buffs)

So the full spell would become dispellaunchignite[envenom]x2delaywind_shearamplifygravityextend_time

That'll apply burning, envenomed (like poison but stronger), and gravity (prevents flying)

and launch them into the air and hit them for damage

Oh if you have kindling thread, you could get rid of ignite and replace it with freeze or snare

Put snare after delay, because it stops them from being launched

If you really want to load up on status effects btw, you can add these threads to your armor: chilling (freezing), kindling (fire), shocking (shocked), and spores (poison). But then you're dedicating a lot of threads to status effects. Won't dramatically increase damage but it's not fun to have a lot of debuffs on you

Either they are poison immune or you keep rolling hunger

If that doesn’t work they are most likely immune to poison

it's just another status effect, they have a chance of being hit by lightning. You said you wanted lots of debuffs 🙂

Since the goal is messing with your friends, you could also add stuff like craft or ender_inventory which forces them to open up a crafting table or ender chest
