What are the most notable changes in 1.20 ars compared to 1.19.2 besides the adding of rewind and changing orbit to an effect rather than a form?

Honestly, 1.19.2 to 1.20.1 is probably the smallest jump in Ars.

At least on the player side of things. I can’t speak to the development side of it because I didn’t start making addons until late in 1.20.1

Source Jewel can be put in any armor with sockets, like the Jewel of the archmage.

Sources of Spell Power outside of Ars equipment are sparse.

But why not use the Ars armor if you are using Ars heavily?

On Cisco dragonfyre, now the spell you showed here is doing roughly 100K on a dummy

Not remarkable, but I’m not set up for mage dmg except for 1 spell power gem giving me like 2000% spell power - but the weird thing is I used a ray, explosion, amplify 3 simple spell and it outdamaged the one showcased - know why?

Haven’t played Dragonfyre, but you’d need to look at what curios you have and what affixes are on your equipment. You’re clearly getting boosts from somewhere

How do I get from the 13 damage I got to the damage you dealt?

I'm using Cisco's Lite, and I just tested the spell with the same glyphs as you. I thought not using the sword or gems would reduce the damage, but not that much.

Gems and reforges in dragonfyre are much stronger than they were in ultimate

Once I max them out I think I could do well over a trillion with one cast cause of how much stronger apotheosis is in this

And cause in ultimate my stuff wasn’t even maxed and and I didn’t even have rage glove and I did like 200 billion in one cast

Idk much abt Cisco lite but gems enchants reforges and a lot of other stuff make all the difference

Once you max out your armor with threads and apotheosis gems and reforges you’ll do pretty much the same dmg I think

Idk tho cause I never played Cisco lite I don’t know what it has

Oh yea and after u get all the max archmage gems and source jewels on your armor from there just go all out on building crit

Basically use maxed archmage gem and source jewels on all your armor

And also maybe some enchant boosting ones like ender surge or earth gem if you have that skill in skill tree that boosts your dmg per each enchant level

I think it’s called excalibur

After that

For gems

Get as many warlord and samurai gems as u can and max those

Cause those are best gems for crit

Only once you’ve got max archmage gems and source jewel in your armor though

And put warlord and samurai in whatever piece that it gives you crit in

And

Get amethyst rapier or whatever has the echoing strikes spell

From iron spells

That doubles or triples your final dmg output once u activate it

And rage gloves

Even tho I didn’t use rage gloves in that video if I did I would’ve done like 10x more

Charm of hell blade is good too

Btw on your reforge stats go for crit on your weapons and curios and whatever can roll crit stats

On armor just get more ars mana

Oh yea and if you’re going to use any iframe spells don’t forget to get a kindling 3 thread on one of your armor pieces

This was done in cisco lite, so the fastest way to buff damage I could think off is just to use an axe with apotheosis buffs

Getting anything on main hand that has the crit buffs or axes with the crit + current hp damage buff is probably the easiest way to get insane damage real fast, at least if you're too lazy to farm for gems or is early game where you don't have much gems around

Speaking of dmg, skill trees and spells... There was this random Reddit post that says that regular harm counts as both spell and an attack, meaning dmg amplifiers from the skill trees and apotheosis gems actually count

ciscos has apotheotic additions so

toss enough stuff onto that and youll have a bunch of spell power

combine that with rage glove

and boom you do big damage

That may be true, but dead is dead. That’s part of why people on the server get so frustrated with all the “what’s the best damage spell” comments.

Is it fun to experiment to see just how high you can push the DPS? Sure. But is it really necessary, even in a pack like Cisco’s? No.
