#Imbuement Chamber Large Buffer

There is currently a mechanic where the Imbuement Chamber has a 10,000,000 source buffer which can be filled by directly linking a relay. This is not documented at all and often causes player confusion when they link a relay directly to it and it yoinks all their source.

I can think of 3 ways to alleviate this, the first being relevant to this channel but ill put the rest here for discussion anyway.

1- Document this mechanic in the Imbuement Chamber page so players who read will know this is a thing.

2- Remove the ability to directly connect a relay to an imbuement chamber. TBH it doesnt really make a ton of sense that this can be done anyway, you cant feed any other source-consuming block like this.

3- Reduce the buffer to something like 10,000.

Personally, i am leaning towards option 2, but i dont know if some of the more experienced players here use this mechanic often themselved... I would, however, argue that if the imbuement chamber retains this mechanic, it should probably be extended to other source-consuming blocks.

u can directly connect it??

I guess the buffer needs to be giant for like... expert pack custom recipies?

#

Wild that this exists.

Yeah it should be fixed and unable to connect directly to it

u could just make a source farm directly connected to imbuement chambers

#

just place in a charm/lapis/amethyst/gem

i had no idea this was a thing lmao

I mean it would make 0 difference because they can also just consume from jars

plucky wasp
#

yeah but the buffer yk

i mustve missed that one

#

I wonder how often new players have been accidentally deleting their source supplies

It comes up fairly often haha... It used to have a 2.14 billion sauce buffer.. ages ago Alex was gonna lower it to 100k but a few extra 0s made it in iirc so it got lowered to 10mill

#

There are some players who knows it exists and like to use it for burst crafting essences without needing a bunch of jars for a buffer

split mason
#

i agree the interaction should simply not exist

fair inlet

Yeah

split mason
#

has a bug report been opened yet?

rugged lotus
#

Not sure, it's been unofficially known for a while

split mason
#

i can't seem to find one

#

which explains why it's probably never been fixed lol

hmm, I've never connected an imbuement chamber directly, never though to. I wonder if that works for the Enchanting App as well

#

though that one would make a tiny bit more sense with the block required underneath it

#

Arcane Core, I think?

#

if the buffer is that large, though.... can it be linked from as well? That encourages having a complete auto-imbuing setup, for essence and sauce storage

#

use the chambers as batteries....

#

get stuffed, Ars Energestique!

#

if it cannot be linked from... then document and move on, it's a one-way trip

is the buffer size necessary for it to operate without an external source input?

#

I guess a lot of it will simply come down to determining the full intention.
