#themed build ideas for wind/lightning mage

Hey im a super noob in ars and i was wondering if people have some advice or could help me build a set of spells for a themed build id love to make.
i wanna be a "air / lightning" mage and focus on said element with ars elemental (i play all the mods 10)

base questions is what kind of spells do you envision such a mage having? and specificly what combat spells would they use?

i was thinking of having a cheap/ spammable single target spell for normal mobs
one aoe version if theres loads attacking at once.
one more expensive options for bosses that have loads of hp 300+ (doesnt need to oneshot but should be stronger than the "spammable option)
and some utility like flight etc.

the idea is not to have evrything right away, but to have something to "work towards"
so id be happy to know "endgame gear / focus/ etc." suggestions

im curious for any ideas you guys might have ❤️

There's pretty much no single target lightning spell.
discharge is your bread and butter, but it always can hit aoe.

For flight, self leap slowfall 's the bread and butter

hmm...personally being a bit of a mix between air/earth mage on the server im on (ATM9 so slightly outdated), so i might share what my build looks like:
For my single target simple spell i have
touchlaunchlaunchlaunchlaunchlaunchlaunchdelaygravityextend_time. It can one-shot pretty much everything, but only works outdoors.
For aoe, its as red said, you have a lotta options, i personally use projectileSpark (from ars elemental), discharge,delay and repeat that as much as you can, works pretty effectively.
For flight, you can have a spell that launches you upwards a lot and then a leap slowfall effect as red mentioned for horizontal movement.
For bosses, theres a spell out there called "Lava's bane", which i think its mostly composed out of air components, and deals a lotta damage, so can try that.

bounce works too, but I'm more a fan of slowfall, means I can slowly look around and decide where to go instead of being instantly subject to gravity

Oh and also, to look more like an air wizard, i recommend belt of levitation, its also surprisingly useful

what about the familiar of choice for this themed build? do we agree on starbuncle ? (i didnt see any that increased air damage or decreased air based spells cost)

Hello hello!! As a fellow Aethermancer, I'd also like to draw your attention to the Ring of Jumping - a SUPER cool ring imo, which basically grants a pseudo-flight in and of itself.
I'm playing ATM9 with my partner at the moment, and I've found the Ring of Jumping to be a terrific boon - the mana cost was perfectly manageable with the regen bonuses provided from sorcerer's wrap, and not only that, but the Aethermancer set converts all fall damage to mana regeneration - making it so you can basically keep jumping forever

Pairing it with the belt of levitation is a great way to boost your mobility and keep you off the ground for longer, but I would highly recommend aiming for the "Glide" thread - which permanently augments the elytra effect to your armour!

I've found this is an incredibly fun way to play a Wind Mage because it simulates the actual feeling of flying better than creative flight - you jump for height and then get to soar great distances on your magical wings!

For combat, I think other members here have spells pretty much covered, but I would invest in enchanting things like swords and shields with the Reactive enchantment, and then imbuing your reactive weaponry and arsenal with a powerful lightning spell - allowing you to cast spells while hitting mobs and what have you!

Yes, Blink is a T3 spell, but my take is about an elegant solution to some random mob that's bothering you enough to cast a single target spell
