Compact builds, mostly. It's frustrating sometimes wanting to put a bunch of imbuement chambers next to each other, or automate enchantment apparati, without wondering about what's going to accidentally read from what pedestal.
also, dyeing arcane pedestals for display purposes sounds really convenient.

You'd be better off using the Advanced Dominion Wand from Ars Additions if you have it. It's purpose built for that situation.
