I’m playing ATM10 and I’m struggling using just basic battle mage armor. I upgraded to the ars elemental armor - I saw somewhere you can put spells on armor.

Does anybody know any good combinations of threads, enchantments, or spells to make the armor better?

I know a lot of people will say to just make unobtanium or something, but I like the damage boosts the armor gives me. Out of 20+ people on my server I’m the only one running with Ars. Gotta represent, you know what I’m saying

lot of pressure on you, representing the entire ars community on that server, i haven't personally found an amazing combination of threads i usually just go with whatever i need, enchants its just as much mana boost & mana regen as you can get, spells you can very a lot honestly to fit your needs for a start i'd recommend just a simple heal spell you can keep up consistently with your current mana regen

First off the required mentioning that threads do not stack. So you are limited to one of each thread across your whole set. For elemental armor, if I recall, that's 4 of each level slot. So the most important question is what do you want in the level 3 slots.

Spell power of course gets one of them. I like gliding and undying for two other level 3s. Some will choose mana capacity for their fourth. Personally I'd probably go with a speed though, gotta go fast.

For enchants, get regen and boost of the highest level you can on everything. But don't forget about vanilla as well. Highest level protection, unbreaking, mending, as well as slot specific stuff like water stuff on your helmet and boots. Swift sneak, etc. Regen and boost don't conflict with anything.

Personally I don't usually have any reactive spells. Self heal is fine, but really it's just going to be extra mana cost. If your pack has the retaliate glyph, then you can consider more aggressive spells

basically doubled my mana regen, the mana pool increase is nice and lets not talk about the 48 spell power it gives

reactive self heal on armor can be abused to drain your mana

IMO just having it bound to a quick spell slot is superior

self heal is ok if you have a large mana pool and aren't going to be taking a constant fast paced damage

but only if you make it with only one or two amplifies

if you're doing damage spells i suggest T3 Shocking, and then use an air bangle to get that speed back
