2k points? That's really hard to do without mystery quests, which can be really hit or miss in my experience.

Sometimes it's an easy one but sometimes it's a super hard one like use 132k diamonds or 800k materials, which is tough for F2P players.

I guess if you're lucky and do nothing but 172 gathers or 184 lair quests? So far this Showdown, I've only seen one 172 gather and zero 184 lair quests.

The gather quests are a pain. Need to focus too much. I can’t hit around 1800-2000. Not spending any money. I had a bunch of promoter 2 boxes to open. So did a bunch of 176 quests. A couple high end helps. And a lair one

Yikes! Anyway, since I don't want to use boxes on my farm, it usually scores around 1300-1400 depending on the quests that it can grab. Even on my main, I don't use boxes so I only score around 1500-1600 as I can gather a lot quicker on my main so I do the 172 gathers when I can get them.

I do think the quests that DIRECTLY REQUIRE money to be spent should be removed, I've spent a lot of this game but it's not really in the spirit of a "quest". I am absolutely fine with indirect money spend quests e.g 100k diamonds is very difficult if you're FTP and completely understand the risks of taking the random quests on, but "buy 15 packs" or "recharge x diamonds via packs" is a stupid cop out lol. Maybe the diamond recharge one only is fine as like the random unlucky one to get but buy 15 packs is dumb especially when you can get 15*99c packs anyway.

to compensate, some other random quests could be made harder to encourage indirect spending in other ways, again I'm not "anti spend" it just seems like a bit of a cheap shot

I NEVER spend a dime for showdown and hit 1700-2000 with my farm. It’s all about waiting for quests YOU KNOW YOU CAN FINISH! And I NEVER accept quests that’s worth less then 120 points.

As a matter of fact in my alliance we clear all quests that are worth less then 100 points.
We only keep 2 - 210 ?s and 2 - 240 ?s at a time all others are cleared!
Duplicates are cleared, unless they match up with another event.

It's also what quests are avaialble. So far I've seen only two 172 gathers quests so I've had to settle for a few 138 gather quests. Plenty of 176 material quests but I'm not willing to use boxes for Showdown. We're only at Veteran right now so can only have 11 quests even after using diamonds. So to hit 2000 points, you would need to average more than 181 points per quest. Not possible unless you're willing to risk the mystery quests or get eleven 184 lair quests.

But it does say “Get” not “Use” Perfect Frag.
You “get” a hero frag when you open a gold card or from tavern coins etc. You get points now. It is ready and assigned a hero.
A perfect frag is a hero frag that simply needs an extra step to assign to a hero, but it is a hero frag already.

Anyone else find it super frustrating getting decent quests in Showdown to come up on the alliance board? Always seems like a lot of extra tedious work for r4s to keep cycling quests for people to find useful quests.

Showdown Improvements Suggestions (league bonuses) :
Pro/Veteran League - 20 available quests on quest board
Elite League - 25 quests on board, only quests 80pts and up
Star League - 30 quests on board, only quests 100pts and up.

This should given players plenty of choices of quests to complete at the higher league ranks where it's more competitive.

Gather quests are fairly easy to do if you're active. In fact I always go for the 172 gather quests since it requires no spending or use of your bag resources. It just requires you to send out gather marches. After complaining about not seeing 172 gather quests so far this Showdown, I was able to snag two for my last two quest so will end up with 1802 points (163 avg over 11 quests).

On my big account 75% of the quests I took were these big gather quests. My farm is a gas and wood main and can do the same and shes tiny. Gather quests are also great when you plan them with alliance mill.

The alliance points do not count once the event has ended though. Or, in other words, the alliance rank points won't change once the event has ended. While the individual player will still get rewards, the alliance totals will not reflect this.

You need to budget yours quests in advance and only take ones you know you can complete.
If you look at the pinned messages in this channel, there are several charts including ones that tell you which quests should be deleted and never accepted.

Stay away from the majority of 113 and even sometimes 143 point quests. They require a lot.

Gathering tasks are tough if you don’t have swift gathering and you don’t plan to regularly monitor your marches by setting timers, etc.

For build and research might, those are tough without a ton of resources and speed ups. Avoid them unless you have a lot of both of those things and the buildings to upgrade (primarily the main buildings like wall or rider camp, etc. things like the boot camps and infirmaries won’t give you much might).

Troop might up can be easy if you have t9s or higher, otherwise again they require a lot of speed ups and resources.

Transfer quests can be easy. Talk to someone in your alliance and work out a deal to have them send resources back to you for quests as well so that way you’re both getting points.

Easiest is mystery shop, help quest and quiz. They don't need much rss or speedups and yet can have quite good points. Same for arena.
Rest is like said above. One addition: if you don't have swift choose only a gathering task which is also matching your alliance mill and take it, when the troops have been in the mill for longer period of time already.
And another hint: the alliance should keep the same mill for the whole period of showdown and not switch.

Don’t forget arena quests…. Arena quests can be done in a couple minutes. If you have the coins, alliance coins are fast quests. In an active alliance, helps can be done in a few minutes as well. If you’re not on all the time, mystery shop and quiz are good quests. The shop has a 3hr cooldown and quiz cd gets longer between each answered question.

It’s part of the personal quests. They are just yours. If you delete it, it doesn’t count as one of the 5. It’s worth however many points it says it’s worth. It’s actually pretty straightforward.

What does the star ⭐️ mean?
These are your personal quests, per the recent update. See #🩹patch-notes

What does “personal quests” mean?
You have 5 daily quests that you can do for Showdown that you have total control over removing. Nobody else can see yours or do them, and you cannot see or do anyone else’s. Each is worth 240 points. You are limited to completing 5 personal quests a day, but the 5 attempts reset each day (meaning you will have 5 new attempts at reset).

Any unattempted personal quest from the previous day will carry over after reset, so to get rid of a personal quest, it must be manually removed. For example: If you have a quest to buy 15 packs, it will carry over after reset. Only the number of personal quests you can do automatically resets each day, not the quests themselves.

What happens if I remove one? Will it count against me?
No. It will not use up one of your total quests or your 5 personal ones to delete a personal quest; same as how removing regular quests does not use up your total quests. You will just need to wait 30 minutes for a new one.

Do I have to do these personal quests?
No. You can ignore them completely, do some of them, or do only them.

Why do I keep getting the same quests?
There is a set selection of personal quests (UPDATING AS OF JULY 2023):

• Get Heroes (1,000,000 pts)
• Total Training Speedup (20 days)
• Speed Up Build/Research/Train (20 days)
• Gain Diamonds via Packs (10,000) > changed from 18,000
• Consume Diamonds (100,000)
• Total Tech Speedup (20 days)
• Purchase Pack (15 total)
• Craft nanoweapon (20 total)
• Get Bioenhancer Materials (1,000,000)
• Get modification materials (1,500,000)
• Get nanoweapon materials (1,000,000)

I know it’s just day 1 and we’re all still exploring it, but so far I think personal quests are a great addition. Definitely gives alliance with less participation or numbers a chance to get higher in the rewards and decreases the burden on those players that have to boost the team average.

Now the questions becomes, how long until the devs “optimize” it to take something good and make it bad?

It’s more about what your willing to donate
If your not trying to rank in hero events, then frag is easy for free to play. Especially if you’ve attended a feast or two
Troop might is also easy for free to play depending on what other events they focus on.
Diamonds is okay too, though I only do those, and most quests when I can double+ dip another event.

FTP and my main focus is Breakloose, so while hoarding is necessary for all F2P mines a little extra because Leah is an expensive date.

The interesting thing about showdown is that it’s not one size fits all. Plenty of ways to play it. I really like the 172gather quests and most hates those.

I took 1 of the 1 mill hero frag quest in the gold ☆quest in Showdown , it grabs 1. Puts it in your current task, says 1/5 & resets like the rest do , so you can do upto 5 of the gold star personal task....... Also you have to reset that quest yourself because it's a personal quest.

Hello. We have some of our secondary accts participating in Showdown that we will have join another alliance to make space for smaller alliances main accts to join us for Wasteland King. Is there a limit to how late the secondary accts can rejoin to continue taking tasks and getting the rewards? We know participates have to be in the alliance 10 minutes prior to start, but does a similar rule apply if someone leaves in the middle with intent to come back later?

Just be back before Showdown ends and you’re fine. You can leave or remove accounts for WK and they can return without issues. The only thing that may happen is if they were in the middle of a quest, it will be canceled when they leave and it won’t be returned.

Nope. Hasn’t happened to anyone I know. But while you have a chosen personal quest going, your personal quests OPTIONS will still go through the 30m cool down after you chose your current one. Could that be what he saw? Because one box will be the current quest. The second will be your next personal quest, if you want it. But it’s not been replaced.

And I had one that didn’t count because I didn’t finish it before next reset. Do, I’m thinking that they cancel, without letting us know, if not done before the first reset after is is picked. I can’t prove it so it’s just a theory at this point.

This might be a stupid question: if we finished all alliance quests that were possible but if I were to quit the alliance and join a different one would my showdown points count for my old alliance or the new one I would be going to? Additionally, would I qualify for the rewards in the new alliance based upon my showdown points that I completed while in the old one.

Unfortunately, Showdown points only count towards the alliance you started the event in. If you were to move alliances mid event or even mid quest, you will not be able to participate in another alliance’s showdown or transfer your points.

You can always return to the alliance where you participated in showdown with to claim the rewards. But if you were to leave the alliance mid-quest, you will fail that quest and not get it reimbursed.

I have received over 8 “buy diamonds’ personal quests in the 12 I have recycled thus far. This morning all of my personal quests have been buying diamonds. I have alliance counts, gear, troops all ready to go but have only received 3 types of personal quests. Build might (I did that one) speed ups (like 3 of those), and diamonds. Not pleased with these “personal” spend your money quests.

The personal quests aren't for everyone. The hero frag is great if you attended a few feasts, the diamond ones are annoying in my opinion, the troop might is great if you have mass promoting, yes tyeres a buy boxes and a unit number up. This feels much less spendy than the annoying mystery quests

Tell the developers that the new personal quest makes the entire showdown much easier… which is good!! We finished on Thursday! And finished with 198,000 points and even had 2 people who got 0. For anyone who doesn’t want to spend money… just reset until you get the hero quest, that one and the troops quest are the best imo. The rest are mucho $$

I liked the personal quests too :). They just need to add more selection and more we can do without paying money. Or at least ones we don’t feel it so much since we already have the speedies, lol.
Example: someone upgrading their hq would love a 240 building might quest. Someone whose just done a tier upgrade would really love a training might quest.
And please keep the training units and hero frag personal quests!

The nice thing with the personal quests…. You can get the same one numerous times. If you get the 240 hero frag one and complete, you can reset the personal til it comes back (for example)…. None of them are once and done. But I do agree it would be nice to possibly see more of a variety or even possibly alternate between 240 and 120 point quests so not every personal quest is hard to complete

I delete anything under 100 points and all of the 113, 143 point quests, and most research and build quests unless people request them.

I’m in two alliances that delete all mystery quests and anything under 100 points. Another will keep the 210 and higher mysteries by request since they, apparently, are less likely to require you to spend money.
If we don’t have any hq 20 and under I’ll delete the research quests and building might unless someone asks for them.
Hero frag quests, regardless of point level, are gone before you can blink, lol.

Here is my experience on personal quests. The randomizer seems to be weighted to appear in the following descending order:

1-Skipped in descending order of the number of times skipped

2-Previously completed (not enough data to guess a sort order within this category)

3-All other quests

If the first two quests you get are ones you want AND can complete repeatedly, you are golden. If they are not, it becomes increasing harder to find a quest you like/can complete.

Will we get a reveal on the randomizer percentages like we have on frags in Noah and Nanoweapon in gear?

Curious to know if my experience is different from others. I like the feature but want to "solve" the difficulty. I never had the guts to take the mystery quests for fear I could not complete them and let down my alliances. At least with the personal quests you know upfront what your commitment is.

You can leave at anything and cone back to collect rewards. Just be in the alliance before it starts

Don't get me wrong, but some really do all for push it, and other just get the rewards and they don't do anything. Still bother me to see people with 0/0. Mostly if they are active in game

No, they should do like the ones where you have to decorate the table, the tree...as much as you do you receive... As if u do 1/1 you won't take all the rewards just the first 2 or 3 and so on

So you want the devs to determine what is an acceptable amount of participation? That's a dangerous road to go down. The leadership should set the goal for the members to achieve. If they don't help or at least improve from one showdown to the next until they are hitting the goal they should be kicked out for the 3 day reward period minimum.

Yes we do so what happens then when say I have 2 accounts doing showdown to help the alliance meet the max reward tier but I don't reach the pre-determined access point to get max rewards? I did 28 quests last showdown and averaged 2500 points but if it takes 3000 points to get max rewards I get screwed for my effort. Option 2 is I do one account to get myself to max rewards and maybe the alliance doesn't reach the top level.

I did that with an alliance I went to visit, they put a goal for everyone, still some complained about it. You can never get everyone to agree on something.
Maybe kicking and don't let them get rewards is a good option, but would they come back or go cry somewhere else about it?

That will depend on each individual. The hope is that they take it as a wake-up call and start participating and help the alliance earn the rewards.

I sometimes don't like showdown during ace sometimes cause they I have to make sure my quests are done before heading to wasteland lol

Partially correct, you just have to make sure you don’t have a current quest since it will be cancelled when you leave. You can still do more quests when you return, just not the cancelled one.
