They go to your regular infirmary/alliance infirmary. Even if you accidentally attack someone from your own state while abroad. Learned that the hard way😞

Probably because you each keep on making about the same amount of points in the matchmaking system. As long as each of your states keeps their own hub and no other you seem to be equal in strength.

I got a bit carried away this time round... went on a bit of a mad one but I'm normally quite reserved 😊

You made your round again and again. And it looked like you kept attacking the same bases over and over, I guess you must have gotten a lot of reports of nothing...

You have to look at the big picture, by the time I come back for the second or third round, the bases that I hit originally have 200k - 400k of uncollected rss, so each base individually yields very little, but the field yields an extra 3mil food and wood. Add to that the 2 or 3 bubbles that have burst and you get the extra kills plus the occasional jackpot with 25mil steel or 10mil gas and you're laughing. I built my level 33 walls and put hq34 on to cook from this valiant, so whether or not I got a lot of reports of nothing is kind of inconsequential- I'll take 10th place in valiant and hq34 in trade for a few blanks all day long.

I know i get some angry messages during Valiant, this event is made for killing and besides losing rss which btw you can well protect using the shield, you cant lose shit, so you either play the game and try to get as much points as you can, or you just die... or a mix of it, for me for sure XD

There is state rewards and personal based on your points. Don't give away points and rss to other states by getting everyone shielded during event.

Before valiant when people go off which won't participate with fighting should better use 24h shield, safer. Those who don't fight can go to other states and get their points by gathering gas and diamonds.

Or other rss. Gas just gives more points.

Gas gives more points per unit, but gets gathered more slowly. So it’s best to farm the resource you have the highest gathering boost for. As the baseline of points per minute is the same for all resources. And ofc diamonds give more points than usual resources but are scarcer.

Dead and wounded troops comes back after event and don't have to use any rss to heal them only speeds, so don't worry about that if you fight.

So. If the enemy attacks my squad collecting resources on the tile and wins, will they get kill points for the event? I ask because under the terms of the game, the troops on the tile can only be wounded.

There is a leader board with your progress. Attacking other players is the fastest way to get points. depending on your hq/boosts, you can also go to the other state, use a shield and farm the rss tiles for points

The diamond mines spawn at regular intervals (ie they drop a bunch of mines at once, not one now and another later) so u can help ur alliance out by posting that new ones are up and posting locations of mines u can't use once ur marches are full. That's my Valiant tip for the day.

With gathering you can get points only in other states.
Gas gives more points, but yes it's slower to collect them. You can still be hit on tiles, so better to be online while you gathering.

You were a better match at defending your state as a team when we visited you, they were mostly scared or just hit and miss... Low reinforcements, constantly underestimating their opponents. 34 and 51 left me without speedups and diamonds sooo fast.

That’s the warehouse of a sanctuary. The alliance warehouse can’t be plundered (directly). You can only remove the outpost or fort that has the warehouse in their territory and by that recycle the warehouse. The resources would then go back to their owner’s sanctuaries where they can be plundered...

If you hit someone from your own state during Valiant, their troops do not go to state infirmary, they will die. Valiant is an event meant to fight other states players, not your own. Your in-state NAP would not be void during Valiant

You mean if you are both in a different state during Valiant? But she's part of an alliance in your state right? Her troops will still die and your NAP is still I'm effect. We call it friendly fire. Happens sometimes and we offer rss to build back all the troops that person lost because they died. If you hit someone covered by a NAP, you are liable to be hit yourself or to get your whole alliance burned too. People get pretty upset when you break a NAP.
Again, Valiant is an event meant for your state to fight another state. It is not meant as a civil war type of event.

Nobody besides devs know the exact formula, but it is certain that the number of foreign states conquered does factor in. Also keep in mind that just because its an older state, that doesn’t automatically mean that its full of 800mm hq35’s. Many older states have slowly died off and are very weak. State 17 (i think) for example was just searching for someone willing to fly into their state to deal with a hq33 bully who is only 230mm. Certainly state states in the 180 range have several players who could deal with that kind of issue.

So dont get too bogged down on the state number and assume you are getting hosed by the matchup. Bad matchups do happen from time to time, but more often they are a case where a younger state gets too greedy too quickly and starts conquering other states before they really have the manpower to be playing in that league.

Hello - our first VC is coming up. I'm hearing that it's recommended that we start training t1 troops to gather diamonds, for the folks that aren't hunting/attacking and just living a bubble for 24 hours. Should I tell my members to start training t1 troops so we get minimal losses?

I never heard of training t1s to gather diamonds. Gas gives you the most points in the event. If you hit your own people they are really lost. They do not go to the state infirmary.

If you clear a lvl5 food tile and a lvl5 gas tile they'll both score the same 🤷🏻‍♂️
It just looks different/more because of the points per 1k gathered

Diamonds give more points than gas though. And the idea behind the T1 is not about minimizing your losses but it’s about the other state getting no points for killing T1s, but you would get points from their losses should they attack you. So it’s basically a net loss to attack T1s in resource tiles for Valiant. Which is why players might not be interested in hitting your T1s. But if they do you get points and they don‘t

Does anybody have a screenshot of the point scoring for valiant?

For valiant points, do you get points from resources you obtain when you attack sanctuaries or only points from taking troops and from gathering in foreign lands?

Our state is planning a purge prior to valiant starting and I’m trying to understand pros and cons

Mmm lots of people have different arguments on this... For me the only probis you have rss from the one you purge...
Cons, you'll kill some of your troops that won't be back as they'll during valiant, and to start some drama in the state...
And lots of people know by now that every tot day you got that event, so if they got hit, is on them.

We're prepping too @wise reef, our first VC in this state. We are planning to purge so enemies can't win points from killing inactive sanc troops within our own state. It is a debate though... you kill troops in your own state, those troops die forever. If an enemy kills those troops, you get them back after VC ends...

Yeah. I guess I just don’t see why it matters if another state gets the points as long as your state can more easily recover.

But this is probably a debate that has many different views

I’d personally prefer people to be able to recover the troops instead of worrying about someone else getting points

For long term, it’s better to help your state be able to recover than it is to worry about another state getting a few extra wood

I agree that you don’t lose anything by other players in your state not shielding.
The other state gets points, yes. So?
The unshielded player loses resources, yes. So it’s in their interest to shield.
And if you want to make a point by saying that your state will get a worse placement in VC because that other state got more points from your states sanctuaries I answer: there are about 240 states doing VC. By purging you can influence the points gained by two of those 240 states. Do you really think that those points will influence your ranking more than killing your own states troops does?

I would counter argue that a productive, active player should be able to shield. Getting people in the habit of shielding regularly and knowing when to and when not to is helping your state

Exactly. Which you can perfectly do for VC itself, no need for a purge before that.

Yeah but what if people aren't able to because of an issue

Like they shouldn't be punished for an issue that is out of their control

They shouldn't be punished if they aren't able to get on to shield due to technical issues or personal issues

But I totally agree with@wise reef , you're just killing your state when they could get their troops back if the other state hits them.

no. Because so many people think losing resources is okey as long as they dont lose troops thats why they dont bother shielding for valiant.

Purge is important because it does a few things;
teaches people to pay attention to events and to board
gives players potential targets when there normally is none
Keeps RSS in state
Teaches people to shield

Rss is needed in state to keep us growing. Troops without stats and growth is pointless.

People dont like to pay attention to the bulliten, having evemts like this creates a culture of paying attention.

Players get complacent when always in nap, shielding becomes a chore and then never happens.

When the nap covers majority of state, growth is also slowed if you never give a chance for them to hunt. Valiant can't provide for everyone when 1000 people want to hunt.

If you think it creates a culture of paying attention instead of a culture of rage, quitting and emigration then okay… but I don’t believe it does. Did you ever take the time to talk to the people that don’t shield and try to find out why they don‘t? Because in my experience it’s not because they don’t care about lost resources. It’s mostly because they aren’t able to, just casually play the game, not know how to, don’t have the amount of diamonds needed for a 24h shield, etc.
Those things won’t change by having a purge. What will change is that your strong players get more resources and piss off all the others in state. Sure, you get more resources in the short run, but in the long run it’ll desert your state more and more by quitting or emigrating players. And once you realize that those players might be of value to the state if treated differently it might be too late.
But that’s just my view on purges, you do you…

Sadly though its rough, if you want to casually play the game then losing rss and troops is a part of the game. This game has the issue that huge stats negate so much a person has worked for. Look at your top players sending t1s at t11s and winning. So that rss needs to be spent in state to be useful. Yes uts hard because many are unable to get the needed shields or diamonds, but there is alternatives that are suggested each time. Send the rss to the warehouse, give to alliance members, self clean so it stays in alliance, send troops to structures so at least they aren't lost. The key always us to have some structure and not have a chaotic purge. It doesn't matter what you do, someone is going to be upset. Can't keep everyone happy. And with purges, usually both sides dont want to view the other side, because the game really doesn't facilitate a possible compromise. More svs events like valiant are needed to allow for rss to be more readily available.

Or devs could give more tiles, or up the amont in tiles. Teach lower lvls how to get and save diamonds, how to shield, finish all dailies since that final box has a shield. There is more to it than simply shielding. A player could be I. Hospital, or have died, or on vacation and without a connection. There are many variables: purging is not the answer at all!

In saying more svs events, I was mostly referring to valiant. Having 3 valiant fir every wasteland would be nice. Or some type of new event, sine they took the rss out of res and nuka.

I‘d call them opportunists. You have an event where you can steal resources from players from another state. So you win some without weakening your state. That’s not desperate, that’s strategic.

Depends on the state; some states don’t have one at all. Generally speaking, if there is going to be ones it’s the 24 hours before Valiant begins.
