The game does not tell you how many points the other players have in this event like it does in other events. As Qjuh said you just have to be in the top % bracket to get that prize...but you really do not know how many players are in front of you or a specific number to shoot for

I find that the troop day and building days probably have the best overall opportunities to generate points. You're somewhat limited on gathering and ap/stam day for the most part. ap/stam day you can get lots of points if you wanna buy a metric ton of the cans, but I don't find that it's a great return on investment. If you save up rss well, you can stack up quite a bit on any of the build/train/research days

I would wager that the largest bulk of my points in any given AC event comes from troop training honestly

Yes, it’s just done in a confusing way. Phase you are ranked with everyone from 100,000 points and up. Total you are ranked with everyone 500,000 points and up. So your ranking pool is more diluted in phase which is why your global rank looks off for the first day.

there is one relatively easy to get hero with troop specific boosts per troop type and one that is harder to get. It is evenly spread though fighter have it a little easier in that zephyr appears in purchase packs unlike phoenix and obsidian, but that is balanced a little bit by the events for phoenix and obsidian giving more frags than the events in which zephyr is a reward

If you mean the Ace Commander daily schedule, I have that. As for the points for each percentage level, I've not seen that one. 🧐 I've achieved the 0.34% overall ranking 3x's in a row now, so any reference to it changing or becoming more difficult based on the player each time seems irrelevant and unlikely in my case. If anything, it's gotten easier to achieve with proper planning, diligence and patience combined. One player in our state DID however post a "roadmap" as to what days to perform what actions and what to hold onto in order to achieve the optimal percentage goal based on your stock and sanctuary abilities. That roadmap did inspire me to look at and develop my strategy to consistently improve my performance. It was ultimately effective and janky enough to adjust for individual success and grow.

It varied a bit when I was seeing these posts before moving to S58 so they were helpful. My problem is I moved to S58 months ago and don’t remember who posted them or where. One thing I appreciated was seeing multiple paths which was super helpful as a mostly f2p player. I’ve spent maybe $20 in total on this game as college tuition for my kids is most important with whiskey coming in ahead of this game in my discretionary funds lol.

It should be the third Ace that goes Global. First is for the silly artifact, Second is State only just so you can see who your states biggest spenders are lol and Top reward is only 30 Obsidian then the 3rd goes Global. Then it is 5 or 6 With just Obsidian chips then it switches to the Cards that offer Obsidian and Atropos

you get the point difference between the two. For example if you were to promote T6 troops which give 60 points each to T9 troops which give 85 points per you would get 25 points for each promoted troop

I’m not sure why they have a gathering event. It has little effect on your overall score as the achievable total is low compared to the other events.
Scrap it or give it a multiplier so it can compete with the other days a bit.

trickle down economics. there's no reason to increase the multiplier. It's meant to give f2p a few points in ace and that's really all it's for; the same with AP/Stam day. These are 2 days during ace that hand some scraps to f2p players. On the other hand they do give you 2-3M points which is often times the difference between .7% and .45% in end.

Surely if the f2p players have more points then the paying players will need to spend more so better for developers.
If you are f2p you aren’t going to get near the 37 mill plus for the top prizes so that argument doesn’t hold.

AP/Stam day is for the payers and/or the high VIP players

Not really though. Points earned is marginal. Payers worry about troop train and might gain. nothing else really matters. And the more points f2p players gain is irrelevant honestly. They'll still be summed up in the lower 90% regardless of what they earn. It doesn't raise the ceiling.

The .5% and the 1% is so far beyond the other 99% that it's not going to change. As is life.

I'm not defending the devs and I agree with you that the game should be more rewarding in these kinds of ways. I'm just a realist. Lol

ace commander is DEFINITELY not based on arena its definitely much larger than that if it is bracketed. i still think once you see 'global' after the first couple its all together they just offer different prizes based on your state

Actually I have always assumed they are in the order they are because it is logical. Day 1 u gather the rss, Day 2 u spend the rss, Day 3 u get another day to gather rss & recover, day 4 u spend rss again, day 5 is another day u can gather rss/recover, day 6&7 u spend rss. Without that first day of super gathering, doing big builds and super training during Ace would be a lot harder. Seems like a logical enough process to me even if I find that day of Ace super boring.

With diligent box hoarding, there are people that can do well at ace without spending any money. Maybe they can't get top .5%, maybe they can. It depends on efficient use of everything that you come by in the game. I see so many people doing big research or builds or promoting/enhancing gear/chips/etc outside of ace and while that is completely fine if that's what they want to do, it has to be understood that will affect their ability to have enough stuff left to accumulate a lot of points during ace.

Yeah, I don’t spend during ace. I hoard all boxes starting from day 5. I get 1% or 3% depending on what I do and where

T10 troops are worth 110 points, and T9 points are worth 85 points. Since you upgraded, I believe you get the difference between the 2 ranks. ( 110 - 85 ) * 370,000 = 9.25 M. Seems about right

If you would like to immigrate as soon as your receive your Ace Commander Rewards, be sure that you have not signed up for Nuka at all for that weekend. You will then be able to immigrate even if Nuka is still going on. You will be locked into the state where you are until the end of the very last Nuka if you sign up. And since Ace Commander ends half an hour before the end of week reset, leaving immediately when you receive your Ace rewards mail allows you to join your new alliance in time to be a member of the alliance when the new week begins, thus allowing you to join in Alliance Showdown or anything else that might require your membership at the start of event. Just to be safe. ;-)

Hi! 👋🏼 crunchy may be offline at the moment - you can immigrate during Ace but not if you have signed up for Nuka. Crunchy was advising to wait till you’ve received your ace rewards (if you’re eligible for them at that time) as you may not receive them if you migrate earlier. If you time it right; you can collect your ace rewards and have enough time to get into your new alliance and be active for alliance showdown or an alliance event that will start. (Hope that clarifies it a bit for you) 😊

This is a great and detailed offering, but I just wanted to make sure that folks know that on Day 4 - Train Troops, the points earned on promoting a T9 troop to T10 is not the full 110 points you would gain for a T10, but only 25 points per troop, since that is the difference in points between the two levels. That said, you would still do well to train T1s and promote them to T10s during Ace as you will receive 105 points per troop and save a little bit of resources by not training the T10s directly. And if you train those T1s first on Train Troops day, you actually will get all of the points.

The timing is interesting, but is basically the same. For instance, whether I am testing with 1 troop or 1,000, the time difference between training T1 Vehicles and upgrading, or just training T10 Vehicles outright is one second. Negligible.

When I did the math on upgrading troops one tier (from t8 to t9), my math told me that I got about 32% of the points vs building new, but cost me 37% of the time and resources vs building new, so I stopped upgrading during Ace as the small differences add up quickly over 1000s of troops.

@left carbon @rocky vault - the way i keep it straight is by thinking of exactly what the points are being given for.

For the daily quest, it just says "Upgrade Tech" or "Upgrade Building". For either of those actions, once you start them, you can't turn it back, so essentially you have Upgraded it by initiating the process.

For Ace Commander, points are awarded for gaining might, which, though it may be inevitable since you can't stop something once it's begun, are not actually awarded until whatever it is has been completed.

So, while you may have "Upgraded" something by initiating the process, you will not "Gain Might" until the process is complete.

Ace lies about the rewards. This should be fixed so that it accurately describes the rewards, or so that it pays out what it says it will. In particular - the levels for rewards are listed as though everyone who meets the requirements will get a reward - 100K points minimum per phase, 500K points to qualify for the event rewards. If you exceed those totals, it still may list you as "unranked" and you get nothing. That's because they seem only to rank the top 100K players - something they don't tell you unless you interpret it from the reward email - if you earned one - after the event is over. The claim that there are rewards for the "bottom 25%" is a lie, and all the other tiers are also misleading. Being in the top 5% doesn't mean you were among the top 5%, it means you were in the top 5000. If there were 125000 participants, you'd have to be in the top 4% to get top 5% rewards. i tend to alternate and go for a top 10 finish every second or third time around, while trying to get a couple frags on the off weeks while building up resources. This lie has screwed me a couple times before I came to understand the difference between how they say it works and how it actually works. No excuse for misleading the players or misrepresenting event rewards.

For instance the person replying to said his was speedups on training day but ours is just points per troop type made or the difference if upgraded. What I have found is that training T1s and then promoting them saves some amount of resources. The savings gets a little wonky when Cost Reduction talent is in effect, but in general, that is the most cost-effective way to do it.

Depends on your exact math as promoting only 1 level at a time tells me it is better to build new troops, especially in volume. Not sure if going from T1 to T9 is better math, but T8 to T9 isnt worth promoting.

Yes, I would always save those single-level promotions for next week’s events as they are great for using speedups, but not so great for gaining might.

In this case, I am only comparing the difference between training troops at whatever your highest level is directly or training T1s first and then promoting them. T1 to T9 is much better math. ;-)

Anyone got any tips on how to best prepare for AC?

It's my first time

Day 1, gathering, starts at the upcoming reset. Buy a 50% gathering speed up from alliance shop and start it about 1.5 hours before reset, then send out your gatherers. They should start returning shortly after reset. Start any building and research close to the end so it will finish just after day two starts.
Day 2, building and research, will start the following reset. Day 3, stam and AP burn. If you are a spender buy some stam from the mall. There is a daily pack where you can get 200 dog tags for the undead riders, 120 stam, and 240 AP for a very reasonable price. You can also buy AP with diamonds, and you get them from defeating certain campaign levels, and from dailies. Unfortunately, you can only get stam from the mall, or waiting for it to replenish. If you call a rally about n hour before reset, and make it an hour long rally time, the stam will continue building, plus you will get the stam for the failed rally back. I send one truck, lol. Start training the appropriate amount of time before reset (3 hours, etc.)
Day 4, gear, hips, modules, and cubes. You should be saving all those rally boxes because they contain all of this according to your level. Ie. if you haven’t access to modules or cubes yet, you won’t get those.
If you have access to Ultimate Challenge, you can get these things there as well. You can buy with diamonds as well. I’m. It sure if buying from alliance shop will work. Start any building, research and training the right amount of time before reset.
Days 6 and 7 are the weekend and it’s all building, research, and training. Promoting troops counts toward training counts for this, as well as day four.
Hope this helps.
Fine final thing…Ace ends 30 minutes BEFORE reset next Sunday! This is the only event, so far, which does so.

Oh! depending on your state, the reset following the end of Ace is hero frag day, so save all those frag cards, if you have any, and Noah coins for this day. If you’re a newer state you will get Zephyr, Phoenix, or Lady M (I think it’s those three). If you’re an older state, you’ll get a choice card with those three as a choice.

Typically not. There does appear to be a small window in a state life cycle that speedups count for build/research days, but it is early in a state life cycle. But 95%+ of the time, it is just points for the actual build or research. Good to start them in advance so they finish during the event day when possible.

Yes, you get points for both obtaining and for using gear/chips/modules/cube material and promoters

That would suggest me you needed more overall points to get ranked. So the bottom ranked player (not sure what the lowest rank is in Ace?) had over 1.667 mil points.

6 months ago 500k would have probably being ranked but with so many players now it is getting harder everytime. There are easier phases you can do without spending money that should get you ranked. Overall ACE is heavily weighted towards troop training which is where most points come from (particularly with the 300% boost after Wasteland)

Yep, most of the points come from troop training and gear upgrade on friday. Always safe up all your materials for that friday then you'll get a lot of points

I think they should start making events a bit more like Break Loose. Like even with the epic cards week. Just clearing the phases doesn't even rank you anymore. Unlike with Break Loose, you can still get Leah rewards without ranking. Then, by ranking you get even more frags + other rewards

It's not gonna hurt the developers for the f2w style players to get some hero frags as well.

The amount of players who wanna pay to rank will still be there. Just give those who don't pay money a little something as well. They still make up server population which is vital for the game also

Most games implement p2w and f2w styles quite well. This game is just widening that gap further and further which means less people that can compete. I mean - where is the fun in smashing other people's heroes in 1 hit or their troops in one hit?

People probably quitting because the devs made the gap between f2w and p2w too big. I'm sure others also question the point in paying money to a game with a low number of players. That's just my outlook
