Yes 24 hrs from acquisition. One useful tip I always use is to acquire the 2x multiplier as close to reset as possible to give you a full day to think about what to purchase if you don’t intend on using it immediately.

the problem i ran into was the 2 30's guys were getting bulk lvl 5 epic quests and they dont have a single 351+ (or 360 for the req)so the req's and the bulk were annoying

So riders will send 4 heroes that are riders and a 5th that’s and off troop. And the off troop will activate the tactical when fighter or shooter troops are added

if we're talking about lairs, have whatever off hero get activated by the joiners (in your case shooters). Only your heros activate for tacticals for any troops in the rally.

If we're talking about your solo march hitting something or someone- if the difference in your boosts between the off type and your main are over 30% diff- don't bother sending an off type.

Instead of putting shooters on the first line of attack it flanks them. So you get an extra hit off with them. For example, I can beat a 58 with my shooters and rider formation but fail when I use shooter formation.

You need to science it with your own account though as it’s not consistently the case.
