I don't know that anything was changed in the update that would affect that. I'll look and see. But I do know that I have that same discrepancy in my lairs. I think it's just a randomization they have put into the lairs. Sometimes my percentage will vary by 5%.

I also think there's a mechanic at work regarding the strength, or lack of strength, with the folks joining your lairs.

If I'm going out later in the day, I compare their actual might to their base might to see if they're likely to have troops. Saves me a lot of scouting. If I see I got a lot of resources from a hit, I'll scout and empty them out.

Ok, question time for a farm account which is rider strong. My main account is fighter strong. Since it is a farm, the answer may not be so obvious based upon my current weapons and heroes that have them. I have 10k in scrap and have a choice of 1 Apex, which would be the fist, or two Epics that could turn into an Apex. Mars and Obsidian are at +6 or better. With my current list of weapons, should I do?

Personally I'd go apex, they make such a difference even compared to epics. But if it's a farm I wouldn't be spending too much energy on deliberating
