well, most items are it offered in super value diamond shop. for tubes/protons, i agree, it may not be better value than the super value shop. but the super value shop has very limited supply. ruins treasury can potentially provide much more in quantity. as for P2s, super value diamond shop has very poor value.

I was just curious how you were looking at the numbers. I was trying to make a chart and then was stumped when I hit tier 3 as there are some rewards not available in tier 3 and each tier 3 box was different. Here's what I had come up with so far. The percentage is the cost of the item from the Super Diamond Shop (or regular Diamond Shop in the case of Refiners) against the cost of the shovel.

From what I can tell, P2s are actually the best value, diamond-wise.

i calculated by assuming it is $5 per item. but of course items like P2 boxes or speedups have less than $5 value at tier 3. i use $ value to normalize item values.

• 60m omni speed: $0.03
• P2 box: $0.07
• P3 box: $0.33
• weapon mat box: $0.50
• mod choice box: $0.50
• adv mat box: $0.05
• etc.
  and finally, 2k diamonds=$1
