There are some benefits staying in relatively new states but often they have instability. In older more established states you may find yourself feeling behind the 8 ball but you will get stability and experienced players. Now what's considered older and more established is up for debate

Additionally, I know I'm late to this discussion, but you will grow much faster in an older state. I can maybe get 12m damage in sonic if I'm lucky, 8m at least, on a 300m shooter true might with t11s, in an alliance of mainly lower t10s. For that I'd get 8 p2s.

If I'm in an older state with a strong alliance who's regularly doing and beating 23, I get 20 p2s from them beating it without being there, even if I don't get much damage rewards.

Similar thing with res, doa, etc. Your two biggest issues for alliance events is DR, which isn't a big issue, and not being able to really do much damage against towers in res which is fine.

The downside is that pit is much harder, vc may be harder if you're active and strong state, and damn near a loss if your state is dead or in a lower bracket.

Most of us arent in your state. And until you get to hq15, you can’t move states. Best to try your best to work with any alliance in your current state to grow enough and learn what is important.

The amount of patience of not using a single diamond or speed up was something I took a lot of pride in. But I'm no longer in any alliance and I can't even change states until I'm level 15 HQ which is extremely ridiculous. I never chose the state the game just put me there. Certain fishes are worth certain points. You've a limited number of fishes you can grab at once. Best way to do it is to get as many high point fish in your go at once. Seems the higher points are generally in the middle or towards the bottom, so be aware of the fish placements as your hook thingy goes down.
