There is rapid growth from a bunch of sub 1 million might players upgrading tons of buildings point of view, but like I wanna make the clan proof for the consolidation phase.
The mail is an important function for general announcements but not for socialising and communal clan building because the mail won't reach everyone (if many messages), the chat should be the main place for people to meet.
I considered making a discord server once I have talked to my first 2 souls (no communication whatsoever yet 😢) but that shouldn't replace the purpose of the alliance/clan chat in my opinion.

So I just used those weird moments as ways to chat even more 🤣
Eventually you get to learn to translate the translations into things that make sense 😁
