The fort has 6 squares to the two front directions and 5 to the back IIRC (or in other words: one of the four squares the fort consists of is actually the center of the hive) the outposts go 5 squares in each direction (so 11 squares diameter).

hello, what is the best strategy for the ruines: do 1 lvl a day and win it, or play until you lose the level?

Play until you lose. You get ruin medals at the end of the day based on the level you’re at, so if you get to 25 today you‘d get the reward for 25 (or higher) tomorrow and next week too. If you go to 2 you‘d only get the reward for level 2 tomorrow.

Help with traps... There are 4 tiers, game reports do not tell you kills of trap(s). Are they best against specific troop tiers, T1 trap > Troop tier 1-3 for example?

I understand that each type is best against one of the 3 primary troop types.

well what is the rate of grass collection from mowing? it depends on where one mows and how much grass there is (and also the size of the collection net and how it's affixed to the mower). as far as pns, i'm a huge noob and also a chicken so i haven't tried raiding anyone yet, but i wouldn't try anything without scouting first to see what the dealio (defense) is at the sanctuary. that should also tell about how much is lootable from it, assuming my watchtower is up to snuff. 🙂

i also have a question. i just hit 16 but don't have vip7 yet so can't auto occupy the pit. i managed to raid a node but how does occupying nodes in the pit work? does auto-occupy put you in line? it seems like when a node cooldown expires someone instantly appears on it again.

There are a lot of pages in pit. Auto-occupy puts you on any free spot (which is the reason why those empty spots get filled up so fast again, someone just hit auto-occupy). Or you can steal others pits, but not in Lvl1.

I've seen some people favor Dom and/or percival over Mars and Marlowe and I'm just trying to understand what the ideal lineup is. Thanks for the input. I decided to test it out without switching mars to red star and even that was better than percival (only in casualties not kills), which I figured as much. I've not got any +7 yet, so I'll keep that in mind down the road.

Mars will be better (+40%) at red star or not (+32%) than percival (+25%) at +5

Reyn and Dom give +50% and +5 so they will be better until you get mars and marlowe to at least +6 and red star

@crystal coral yes and no certain items i.e gear u get asap from alliance store which will give specific boosts to specific troops i.e the top left item which is a gun improve riders attack by a set percentage also fighters attack and defence i believe u need the gear promoter to upgrade them which will in turn give a higher percentage boost

Chips become available after lvl 10/15 cannot remember exactly

Module becomes available at base 15 and cubes at base 25

Each item if u click on the info on it will give percentage boosts to ur troops

Im pretty sure in that sense it doesnt matter if its 40% to troops or 40% to riders. What does matter is what troop type the hero is. For example, mars is a rider hero (he has the rider badge) and meyers is a fighter hero (fighter badge). Both boosts troop stats, however you will find that you do more damage with a full rider march with mars over meyers all other things being equal. This is because of the tactical skill which activates if the hero’s troop type is present in the march. Now this could be accomplished by someone else sending a fighter in this case, but if you dont want to worry about micro managing the troop types sent on your marches, itll be easier to just send rider heroes

Promotors are more valuable than enhancement materials....

NEVER recycle promotional items for enhancement items

Basically Rule #1 Hoard until you have enough for an event.. maximizing the return on your efforts, while achieving a boost in % for troop stats.

Use ruins and arena (hero-glory) for chip promotion
Use PIT for Module Promotion

Yes, but it’s minimal. Yes, full march player should start for best results. It’s better than sending a half-full march of just shooters, so if you don’t have a Full march fill up with other type.

I would get Obsidian to +7

I would not take meyers to +8

I would look at my Hero Glory Lineups and examine my Ephraim, McCarty, Mars and see if the Cards would get them +6 or +7.

Why?
You will benefit and perform in Arena probably more often that you are going to go head to head with another Sanctuary

The rewards from arena to upgrade your troop chips and regular chips will make up for what you think you are missing in % of a +8 meyers

+7 Obsidian and get 2 heroes to +7 if you can.

Or

+7 Obsidian and +8 meyers.... Hopefully your glory squad is killer...

They do 500% of that troop type’s attack when they use their tactical skill. So what we are saying is that if you are using 5 fighter heroes as an example, you may find that you do a little more damage replacing one of the low boost fighter heroes with say a shooter or rider hero that boosts troop (generic boost instead of troop specific). As long as at least one troop of that hero’s type joins your rally, that hero will fire off their tactical skill for some bonus damage that you would otherwise NOT get because only four of the same tactical skill can go off in a battle.

I havent tried using it while a heal is going on, that would seem dumb since you pay the rss up front for the healing, so aside from the time savings, youre just wasting rss. Use it before you start healing and that 10% just gets healed off the top, then you can heal up the rest normally

Look at a replay of a battlelog of the lineup with the 4* and one with the 5*. I guarantee that the 5* +4 is using their tactical skill there and sidelines one of your other heroes

Fighters = Zypher ($$) and Ulrik (5* Card)

So the most cost effective troop focus (based on heroes) is riders

In order to upgrade training camps (no matter the HQ) are tied to a building upgrade.

Training Camps and buildings:
Fighter= BootCamps
Shooter=infirmary
Rider = Warehouse
Vehicles= HQ

These buildings must match HQ before being able to upgrade training facility

Then you can promote

THIS is why it is good to have 1 main troop with a secondary troop....so you don't have to build all 4 immediately at new troop levels

When you immigrate all res that is above warehouse limid goes up in smoke, same with res you store in alliance warehouse. Best way is keep all res in their boxes until you need them. if you got res above warehouse limit you could try to buy things in mystery stuff from the excess or use it to upgrade buildings, which don’t need to be finished before immigrating

What are the prerequisites for equipping a hero with their nanoweapon? The previous answer mentions a Plus sign on the hero page, which my heros do not have. Ok the reason I ask is that I have a fighters march and I used Requiem which in the Hall showed that my might was higher than when I was using Noct but when I ran a lair the win percentage was lower then if I had run Noct. Depends on your state politics. In our state their alliance would be at risk of being removed from the NAP for breaking the rule. That is usually enough for the alliance leadership to be motivated to police their players. Just a quick mail to the r4+ usually gets the trick done. I have around 180k but I easily could have stopped around 100k...30-40k for Rss tiles and 60-70k for alliance mine. Now I just train 250 a day for daily quests...Same with the useless traps....Serious wish you could recycle those things and get resources back.

For shooter leader they should send shooters (sometimes one fighter makes it better, more than 1 fighter make it worse though). For fighters it doesn’t matter what they send, as long as it’s not a car. For riders I‘m not sure, but riders work

Not always accurate. I would just say test. If its just sending 1, it usually doesn’t matter much either way. When pairing with someone, i would do some testing. Im a fighter main and can duo lairs with either shooter or rider, though shooter usually ends up with better results. But i can also pair with a shooter leader as well and we have tested that out and, at least with our stats, we get more kills and fewer casualties with the shooter starting the lair and me joining rather than the other way around

It only matters when you‘re at 50-53% when soloing the lair. Then a single fighter can decide between win/loss sadly

What does increasing Troop "Load" do?

Each troop has #rss units they can "carry" back to your base whether it's by hitting a player's sanctuary or by gathering a resource tile. By increasing their load you increase that #rss units effectively allowing them to carry more resources home 🙂

Cause my Hall of War is at lvl 25. Should fit just 750k troops. And i didnt evolve Dr J nor do i have Agent X. So im curious. Please help

Good news is you're in a new state lol so you don't really need high might requirement to get into an active alliance

If you're finding it dead, I'm assuming your alliance isn't very active? 🤣

So I'd suggest finding a highly active alliance and spamming lairs so you can get hero cards from the lair boxes after beating the lairs and upgrade your heroes to progress in campaign 👌

I scraped together the materials and only then did it tell me I needed gear factory lv30 - I complained to CS about poor information. They then brought in 8* modules and unlocked 7* for lower levels. 😂

When you rally for lairs, does it matter whether a teammates troop type matches mine? For example, if I have all riders and rider heroes, and another person has an equally strong rider or fighter setup, is it better for the other marches that join me to also be riders? Is there more of an advantage to send the same type?

there are some really wonky mechanics with lairs, and they all change with yours and your teammates relative boosts, march sizes, and troop tiers. I'm gonna recommend doing some testing. In general a fighter leader can benefit from having a full shooter march join his lair. And in general a rider leader can benefit from a full fighter march joining. However things can vary wildly depending on the above factors (and sometimes it just doesn't make sense).

Some examples, here is fighter leader with one full shooter march, both t11

And this one is fighter lead with two full shooter marches, but one of the shooters is t10

Thanks for these - so in your experience, there not an added boost to the marches if everyone uses the same troops. In fact, it might be better to send different troops because of the mixed troop nature of the lair. Am I reading that right?

Yes, if they are same troop tier. Else sending supporters is a bad idea usually anyway.
