The Thor has a 16:9 screen paired with a 1:1 screen that's neither Retro nor authentic to the DS.

The RP6 is a 16:9 Handheld. 16:9 screens do not enhance Retro Gaming like a 120hz 4:3 screen for example.

Miyoo is subpar compared to Anbernic
Trimui doesn't make Retro Controls like Anbernic.

Plus both Miyoo and Trimui don't innovate in the Retro Handheld space like Anbernic.

The Miyoo Flip has worse construction than the RG35XXSP and RG34XXSP.

Plus Anbernic has recreated more Retro designs then any other company in this space. This is why people like myself still buy their products.

You know who actually nailed the Vita: Ayn, with the Odin 2 Mini. The O2M has the premium look and feel of the Vita, is similar in size and is actually a reasonably powerful handheld - like the original Vita was for its time.

To be fair the RG-DS can play over 90% of the DS catalog with no issues. The RG-VITA even at a conservative estimate will only be able to play 50% or maybe 60% of the PS-VITA Library once Vita3K reaches full maturity.

I was really proud of writing this one. It was a lot of words, around 7K. But I had a great time with testing it and writing everything up. I was very grateful that @blissful parcel and @merry idol shared their experiences with developing for it (GammaOS and KNULLI respectively), that was a nice addition.

I know my take-away isn't shared by the majority here, there's been thousands of weirdly negative comments since this channel started up, but I really have enjoyed the Vita Pro. I was playing Gravity Rush on it while waiting for a doc appointment this morning actually!

I think the hesitation about the price is understandable, but...a point I keep hammering home. I chat to a lot of manufacturers behind the scenes. Prices are going up, and specs are going down. It is a fact now, the scene has just changed completely, and as time goes on...it isn't going to get better. Anbernic just has the 'misfortune' (for want of a better word) of being one of the first with a new handheld this year where they have to charge more for a little less.

It is just the start, as far as price hikes go. I won't share who told me what, but I chat to most of the companies, and this is not an isolated decision. They're doing what they have to now, because of the current nonsense regarding RAM and storage.

I think the Pro has a long life ahead of it, the dual boot and the community builds gives it a great leg-up in this space!

I loved it too, but absolutely hated Windows on it and at the time Bazzite wasn't ripe enough. As a busy dad I had no time to tinker with it, so I sold it. Still miss it tho, great size and nice ergo, also very powerful package all in all.

It has a better screen than the RG Vita. Bigger is not better, especially in this case. The RP4 has an iPhone display with nice and rich colors and a pretty dense dpi, while the RGV has a pretty low end display, maybe it's using Switch Lite LCDs (the non-Pro version) which are pretty mediocre. I don't believe the Pro model has a better screen, but I could be wrong. With those specs it would also be a Plus model iPhone screen. Those are nice, but mos chinese ones are still badly calibrated, and I doubt Anbernic took their time with it like Retroid did with the RP4.
