Nice! Looks Good! How does it feel in hand and what price did you pay for it?
What frontend is that? Looks new yet familiar.
Looks like the action pi.
Interesting face button labels. How and why?
Wii classic controller nostalgia
Why is this stick top lmao
A527 is a great chip. Using it on the Action Pi.
Looks like it’s running Android. Is it running Android?
Yes Android. I do not have this yet. These images are from a video
Knulli Was looking into a527 build because of the Action Pi. But I do not know if that is still the case
And I definitely do not know of Android is the right OS for a 1:1
Not the only one
Why not? More important for Android is a touchscreen.
Why not what?
Why would 1:1 not be right for Android?
It's still an A527 on this, so nothing wide screen
4:3 and 3:4 fit very nicely on 1:1
The only thing that really factors into the OS question is what's available
I seem to remember the RG Cube having a Ton of trouble handling stuff
And it wasn't the Wide Screen part, it was the rest. The stuff Linux teams had already figured out. 8:7, Interger Scaling Overscaling, etc.
A527 I want to believe it was good, but it was backed on the Linux side with a bad Batocera Build.
As for Android CFW....Gamma cannot save every single device lol
Never bothered with the RG Cube. Honestly I don't care for Android on handhelds for a number of reasons and typically try to avoid it.
Android is really only suitable for high-end hardware, IMO
Big cores and more RAM
It has its uses on the Mid range as well, like t618 and Above lol
The only real use on Unisoc stuff is that they don't give you a choice
I don't believe they offer a Linux BSP
Facts lol
At the same time, PsP works awesome with having Vulkan driver support on Anddoid
Fair enough. libmali and the open drivers should have, too, but I've not been following how far along they are
And libmali is closed, so that's a bit of a crapshoot
You just get whatever the SoC vendor licensed from ARM
rg cube wanna be

Looks like the d50 Max has the a527 not this model
Boo, a133p
Not you Fred, the Device. It looked so promising. And it comes in Purple
Pink?
Any other A133P devices we know of that run Android?
MagicX / XU
Tablets, apparently that is why they never had 32 bit support in the 1st place
Can you do strikethrough in thread names?
Oof
not bad considering its a A133P
it has very sensitive touch, This is really great.
did you grab it from aliexpress?
@jagged quest
Woah
Available in 3 colors
Black Transparent colorway
Mentions Wi-Fi
Has touch screen as well
At least it's 64-bit now...
No, I bought it in 1688.
Oh, that's good news
There is a D50 Max?
yup
Looks like almost everyone is trying to target that midrange now
oh wow look at that fortnite play
DeadFred just a Heads Up!
$10 shipping, oof
only 5 for me in the uk
Looks steep
So Chinese companies have bought a lot of 4-inch 1:1 720x720 screens, which is why they’ve made so many devices using them, huh? I wonder if Diium will make a 4-inch 4:3 device. I really need one like that — an Android handheld under $100 for playing PS1 games, powerful enough to upscale to HD and record the screen. Right now, it seems like only the Ayaneo Pocket Air Mini fits that, but it probably won’t be available until next year. No one around here takes Indiegogo orders at a reasonable price — if I order it myself, the total cost would go over $150.
