If it’s really bad for you, you could always rebind L and R to Start and Select, and Start and Select to L and R. They’re close enough to the d-pad and face buttons that it would probably work okay

256GB is good enough internal storage for me, since I keep all my console games on the 1TB SD card. Internal storage is mostly just for texture packs, the rare few Vita games, and some light PC games.

Yes, but Android is weird about how fast that'll go sometimes, just a warning. At least on my RP5, sometimes it gets so slow and then restarting the device fixes it. Like an internal memory got overfilled or something.

Got my rainbow pro yesterday. It's a thing of beauty but I think mine is cursed - it restarts evey time the screen dims or I close the lid. Weirdest of all, if I turn off Android touch sounds (the little noises when you press the keyboard), it won't stay powered off, it just restarts. If I leave them on, it powers down fine. I cannot explain this.

It's not that bad, the slider's are a bit fiddly but it's a bit easier if you set aspect ratio to Unrestricted and do height/width separately.

Yeah I restricted the amount of Switch and PC games to only a small handful I would actually play within the first 2 weeks

For retroarch you can thankfully just copy the entire folder. No need to set it up all over again. Copied mine from Steam Deck with all the scrapped media.

Having pressure points on the screen isn't optimal for a device that is going to end up in bags where they have weight pushing against them, and while buying more accessories is a solution I don't think it should always be the solution I think companies should try and fix issues with every revision

There's no need to make this personal, if you're worried about the flex in the screen, you have very few options. The two suggestions are actually reasonable.

The potential issue has been widely reported, so Ayn are aware of it (they were probably aware of it in the design phase too). We'll see how the device holds up over time, but in the meantime, the options are to either skip on the device or to be careful with it

those are all of the current ones, but I think there's also a fork of ES-DE that allows you to choose which screen to launch a game to (ES-DE itself still only uses 1 screen). Personally, I'm probably just going to use Daijisho and keep the other screen for Android unless I see something particularly impressive from one of the other frontends

For now unless AYN fixes it in an OTA, daijisho as an actual home launcher prevents you from open the task manager to close apps

Im no expert on how android ram works but the little brush icon that should also clear processes still showed me with a ton of apps open when i restarted and switched back to normal lol

I want a smaller glass screen protector that will only cover the screen not the whole surface. I have found TPU screen protector like that but not glass yet. I use Trimui smart pro screen protector on my RP5, its the exact size of the screen so when gaming it looks like there is no screen protector.

Finally got home with my Thor. Not sure what any of the reviewers who complained about controls were on about. Everything feels great to me with or without the grip. Shoulders aren’t an issue for me at all either

I found Mega Man Zero, a game that really expects you to be dashing a lot, quite uncomfortable, but that's basically the only thing that's bugged me.

R should be fine since you'll be using buttons on that side.
Unless you just have muscle memory using L to dash.

I've found the controls just fine myself, even with dpad and heavy L usage.

I can see how it might be rough if you have an aggressive palm grip though.
