Watching the Russ video around Gamehub has ne excited about the future of handheld gaming. I want to be at a point where Switch emulation is as good as Dolphin, while Gamehub can run games upto PS4 generation and indie games without any bugs and crashes with cloud saves. Its still too early to jump in for high end emulation so RG477M is my end game device. But once the hugh end stuff becomes easier to emulate with less tinkering I will be jumping in. Thats why im hoping we get good driver compatability for Elite and im hoping Odin 3 will have the way for it

I’m already playing on Odin 2 Portal Gamehub without any tinkering or settings changing: Hollow Knight both parts, Element TD2, Street Fighter V, Brotato, Hades both parts, Vampire Survivors, Kingdom Rush, Children of Mortal, Deep Rock Galactic: Survivors, Red Alert 3, Dead Cells and etc. For me, a little bit more powerfull device like Odin3 will be amazing, because now we can play with Gamehub most of PC games without any tinkering.

It requires much more skill than doing a traditional emulator, but it's absolutely legal

what I fear is that entire high end emulator may rely on only one single app soon

(especially if they add EGS, not having EGS is the biggest thing missing right now)

it seems good if that big emulator app is good, but it's also a risk if they make specific GameSir features and close the door behind them

Ideally, they should make a paid (but without being forced to) version of the app and use it to finance dev

Or keep it free if they really can but i'm not sure it's easy without upsetting people

If the app gets good enough, people will want it to run any big PC game the day it launches, like they already did for Silksong, but for bigger games, and it may require much more work than right now

G3 gen 3 isn't a bad choice. In the end no matter how good these chips are, we are still limited by emulation development and of course drivers. Will be interesting to see at this time next year the state of everything.

@short gust guess what 😄 i got dreamfall and FFX HD remaster working on GameHub

For Dreamfall:

switch to proton 9-arm, set to "stable" in gamehub settings, copy steam.dll from my Windows PC using a root-enabled browser to the virtual container for dreamfall’s install. Then manually set resolution to 1366x768 by modding prefs.dat and aspect ratio=2.

Game is so old it won’t let me set Rez higher and it will crash if the container Rez doesn’t match the game rez.

luckily my evo was rooted with magisk lol

idk, i tried 1920x1080 and it shows up windowed and "Direct 3d failed to load"

i had that issue at first because prefs.dat sets game to 1024x768

then I figured out how to set custom rez in prefs.dat but higher than 1366x768 same issue

I had to pay 150 EUR to DHL (in Germany) for my EVO (Retro Power) because AYANEO only ships with DHL whereas I paid only 20 EUR with 4PX for my Odin 2 (max) because AYN gives you the option to choose from DHL or 4PX.
