It's nearly impossible to predict that a game will work, because current Switch emulators don't do 100% absolute emulation. Shortcuts are taken in order to improve performance. A lot of games will work.

Well, one game I can pretty infamously say is a good example of being better on everything but Yuzu was Sonic Colors Ultimate (I’d still recommend emulating the Wii version, but that’s because I’m a bit of a purist in that regard). A lot of the bugs we saw in the switch port before release was straight up someone emulating the early access version on Yuzu, and because of people not recognizing that and thinking “oh that’s how it is on Switch in general” you had Yuzu treating that as an excuse to just never bother actually updating the emulator to support it.

Not a device and not from Ayaneo, but I'm in the EU and have ordered things from overseas, shipped through FedEx. It was a similar experience to DHL and UPS : a massive transporter tax ("admin fees") in addition to actual import duties on arrival.

4px is fine, DHL and FedEx are a problem. Not because of VAT (that's fine and expected), but because of local "handling fees" (in some countries where laws allow it) for collecting the VAT on top. I've once paid nearly 50€ on top to DHL for collecting 20€ worth of VAT..

The RP5 big selling point is the OLED screen. If they can keep the screen and keep the same price while upgrading the SOC to even a 8g2, more or less matching the Konkr's performance, they could become very appealing.

People flocked to the Odin 3 for the screen, and others eventually went to the Konkr because reviews of the g3 version already exist and the consensus is that it's a good value. If it'd had an OLED screen, the Konkr would have blown past the Odin 3 because a known value is always better than a bet on the future.

But I am super sensitive to light bleed. I just can’t stand it. Be grey, but uniformly grey.

Did somebody here saw the slightest trace of light bleed ? (black background in the dark with brightness pushed up) And no, every IPS screen doesn’t have it : my 14” IPS laptop is perfect, for instance. Every IPS has IPS glow, but that’s not the same as light bleed.

But as far as I understand, the Konkr with its G3 Gen 3 is so far the only console that can play every Switch game including Metroid Prime Remastered at its nominal speed, dock mode. Am I right? The Odin 3 will have a wooping FPS but with glitches, and the future Retroid with the G2 Gen2 will probably not be s rock steady at 30 fps for Zelda Tkot, while the Odin 2 is.

About the Konkr, how does it deal with non 144fps (or divider of) ? Does it implement a clean variable refresh rate so as to avoid micro stuttering as when you play a PAL game on a fixed 60hz screen ?
