On the same day as the ayaneo flip 1s session is crazy
Now this is how u do a slide
Nitrrx post teasing it said dimensity 8400
Is this ZPG?
Appears so
This is basically mcon at home
Mcon doesnt have a second screen 👀
Feel like this is going to take forever to come out
ZPG is trying to get revenge on anbernic for the Rg cube
Second screen is hilarious small
if it's dimensity 8400, expect $250+
The zpg A1 was already 250 plus
This will be 300 plus
But still cheaper than onexsugar
Zpg a1 was like 160 no?
I just saw 250 on ali when i looked it up
Oh well now maybe. Prices are jacked
At the time of release it was close to Rg cube pricing
Not super sp
Your right i see on the blog post
I still think this could be high 200s based on all thats going into it
Slide mechanism, dual screen, new chip
It will absolutely be high 200s yeah
nah, d8400 is actually on par with the 8g2 in terms of raw power
High 200 I say. It's never easy to get ZPG in the west
Too bad the drivers are probably nowhere close
125 usd about was the preorder
I expect close to 300 for this tbh
That's why I said it's better than d8300 but it's basically reborn new big bro
But also how the zpg can deal with it
The software
The chip
The hardware
Hasn't it been out for a while tho? So it's probably another round. So likely prices have come down?
Bro it's not even on the market anymore
that second screen has gotta be the smallest 16:9 display I've seen in a handheld
zpg a1 software was just asop launcher with 2-3 updates
yes, might be closer to cube
Thought they dropped the a1 already?
They did
Yeah. That's what I was replying to
I didn't even think zpg made handhelds still tbh
Zhang quitted too early
I don't think he ever quit
I mean expect 0 support ever
Bro max basically was teasing him to the point he made everyone bought rg cube than zpg a1
Plus zpg a1 was taking long as well
That was a main problem
a1 was interesting, the controls are good
I almost bought a limited metal one.... Almost
Pink a1 is undefeated
the screen on mine is not perfect
Yeah QC/CS is the big concern
and there was a loose screw rattling inside
A1 was nice again it's a shame that anbernic took advantage of the situation this is why sometimes it's better to not showing anything until it's actually finished
Look at you miyoo
Ahem, interactive haptic feedback
See posts, photos and more on Facebook.
PGS scam. Guess ZPG gobbled it up
Also
👀👀
I mean, do we have any source for this other than Nittrx?
Nittrx has a history of pulling shit out of context
Haha
Just reposted the pgs
Think the flipping it around in hand vid out there is new
Yeah, but that PGS thing was x86-based and it's 8 years old at this point
(I mean, it's both ARM and x86, but you get the idea)
IT'S X86???
No
so fake then?
a rumor
yeah PGS was a scam
How come I was never informed of this
turns out you can just pay the honest trailers guy to say your slogan and make bank
PGS was a Russian scam. I think this is a Chinese user custom build. Gonna be expensive.
WHOA A DUAL SCREEN DEVICE-
bottom screen smaller than top screen
Dimensity 8400 (expensive)
probably requires Android
those sticks
squidward_walking_back_inside.jpg
jpg and not a gif smh
NOKIA N97 SLID
The old PC gaming console “PGS Hardcore“
Aww hell I can feel the money leaving my wallet
"PC GAMES ON HANDHELD DEVICE – NOW IT'S REAL!" - PGS
Didn't have that but I did have the HTC tilt 2
Old phones were just so interesting
Well, it's day two, and there seems to be nothing about this device on Baidu (the open source handhelds forum)
And those guys are talking about dual screen constantly these days
So I'd say Nittrx strikes again
sadly, more prone to breaking than even these glass slabs we have these days due to the additional points of potential mechanical failure
I dunno. This guy served me through college and was basically indestructible
I yeeted that thing so many times
I threw my old phones around all the time, literally tossed them, extra points of failure my ass
only thing that occasionally flew off was the battery cover
Classic distraction technique
battery covers were actually designed to come off, that helps to dissipate some of the energy of an impact more easily, another downside to the loss of removable batteries
Kinda funny they struggle with hinges on these handhelds. That thing was crazy strong. My friend even tried to bend it backwards with all his strength
the only reason I don't use an old phone anymore is because they aren't supported by the network anymore
too a certain extent, by the end they were having to conform to the mainstream a lot more and then get crushed on specs
Blackberry was peak at the time
but too expensive for the average user
like I remember a time when a lot of the new phones were around 100bucks and most people wouldn't have dreamed of spending 1k+ on them
Yeah. Was our exclusive work phone. Used mine constantly. Then they switched to apple, and I usually left mine in the box
Point where bb failed was the first snapdragon I think, they ignored the increase in arm power for too long, many of us working there cursed the shortsightedness of our bosses
Yeah. They def were archaic at the end. It's funny cause I look at smaller handhelds with physical keyboards and it reminds me of them
I know I type way faster on a touch screen now
Part of the reason the slide and flip 2s are so interesting to me
Can Input text like a normal phone because the keyboard isn't stretched across the long side
by the end they weren't as bad, albeit not flagship spec, it was more the period just after the early years of android and ios, once those made their business software at least reasonably usable that's when bb really struggled
Yeah. I remember their enterprise management tools got cumbersome
Not to mention apple and android could be easily accessed by their other devices and browsers
I missed out on the early Android years, because I just bought a Nokia smartphone at the time
Haha. Windows phone?
nah, Symbian
early android was shite to be fair
Yeah. Loading custom firmware and launchers was a must
I still remember taking my Barnes and Noble Nook and rooting and flashing it into a real tablet
one thing I think bb did very well and didn't get the credit for was gesture controls, still like the ones they did better than on current phones
Then base android got so much better, and you no longer like had to get a Samsung with its skin for usability. Now I can't stand Samsung's overlay
sadly at this point, the products have moved away from any innovation that doesn't involve a better camera or ai, what were even the headline features of the android that came out last week, even the updated ui part is being delayed for their new pixels it seems
Ah. Im always in the beta so my fold has the latest. It's cool. But yeah. Nothing amazing
Time for someone to release a gaming phone again
Like with controls
not convinced we will see another like that, simpler for companies to sell extensible controllers to the subset of potential buyers that want physical controls
one ui is great
except on watches
though ill buy a oneplus next time
I binned off samsung when they dropped external storage and headphone sockets
Not sure why, but even if I don't get one with those next time, it still won't be a samsung
Release date never
This was my first smart phone.
Mmmm droid
Is this handheld even real - looks like old photos of that old scam
It's a rumor for now.
My first was an absolute chonker
Before that I had a flip phone that I swear felt indestructible... I did more damage to a wall than to the phone itself lol
