well, Chrono Trigger adjusted to display in 4:3, but that's really one of the very few notable examples of this

otherwise 8:7 looks great on most NES/SNES games

with some games the text may seem a bit stretched tho

like on a 4:3 display I will obviously play those games in 4:3, but with the 1:1 or 8:7 panels, why shouldn't I do 8:7 (with integerscale + overscale on the 1:1)

The RP5 doesn't have a Custom Made screen either. A 120hz 4.7 inch 4:3 display made from the ground up for Retro Gaming is a pretty impressive feat. Retroid will never claim such a feat.

I’m still impressed by how bright and vivid the display on the 40XXV is so no OLED doesn’t bother me that much.

It still looks far better than my PSP which has visible interlace lines.

And my 3DS XL is unusably dim in bright sunlight, I was kinda shocked when I compared it with my 35xxsp which was still bright and visible

I'm not even surprised by that, the AC games have always had some sort of issue with emulation. RPCSX is just so early in development, so that doesn't surprise me at all. The same goes for aPS3e.
