The SNES port of Metroid is definitely what the devs were playing as their test builds though, runs at 60fps and plays totally differently.
You can get the game running OK with an NES Overclock, but yeah, SNES Metroid might be the way to go

Honestly, don't go buy a used PSP go. The ergonomics suck and the battery isn't replaceable. Now those early PSP's which had a cover you could just slide off and easily replace the battery. That was such an underrated feature. Miss my OG one, should never have sold it! The sound of the UMD drive drove me nuts (this was before the CFW scene really took off).

I'd love a more ergo one though as the battery is fried on my go so it can only be used plugged in. Just not sure the RG slide is it. RG slide mini perhaps? 🤣

Since someone asked how thin we would like it, Would be nice if it was closer to something like the rg35xx h. Here's one side by side with a PSP go. Obviously don't mind it being thicker and a bit bigger for the screen and battery but perhaps we've just been spoiled by seeing hardware ready in that form factor

That said I love the cube. But I may also not mind this with the inset sticks. Cube without bumps and sticks where they are would def be uncomfortable. Inset sticks help a lot and change your grip so it's hard to say without holding it for me at least
