Heyyy there he is!
Shit man, I am so sorry to hear this. Hopefully they can remove it without too much trouble if you caught it early like she said
Oh wow… yeah that’s rough news. And maybe this has a bearing on your search for a second job.
If it helps any, I have a friend who was diagnosed with cancer awhile ago, but we’ve been friends for a decade and he’s still going on adventures, recently tried out living in the US and this year tried living in Japan. He’s still making long term plans (and girlfriends)! Here’s to early treatment and other things in your life besides cancer!
It does. I'm trying to pay off some debts before I go into more debt..
Realistically, im not super worried about the diagnosis. It was detected early, and I will be fine. It's the money situation

Geez, a real Highlander situation down there (There Can Be Only One)! At least you know it’s not from sunburn, or something else that’s your fault, just bad luck.
And, I feel you on the job front. I was stuck between overqualified and under qualified too, having been a social media manager/creator but having no portfolio because the company erased all my work when they could no longer sell the product featured. I basically had to look for companies as desperate as me 😆 First, I took a seasonal job at Dick’s sporting goods, as a seasonal employee they don’t expect people to stick around anyway. I became a certified bike mechanic, I learned how to re-string tennis racquets, sharpen hockey blades, beat baseball gloves into submission, basically any “skilled” work they could offer. They kept me on well past Christmas because I was doing good work, until April last year I found an Eyeglass store that was desperate for a lab tech enough to take me despite having 0 experience. Now, I’ve been there over a year, and got two promotions and $2/hr raise (yay… still like 1/3 what I made before), it’s paying the bills and insurance.
I’d train you to take my place in a heartbeat, even if I didn’t leave the whole company needs people willing to stand all day and follow a routine to cut glasses 👓
