Which is great since you might see something that catches your eye and you can load right into it.

It's less nice if you personally curated your entire gameslist, but if you just grabbed like, all NA/EU releases or something and don't know what all the games on your device are it's nice.

The main use of the flip 2 is going to be plataforms more demanding game cube, playstation 2 or even wii. Since for the retro stuff i have my rg35xxsp and serves me very well

For emulation the speed doesn't matter too much outside initially putting all the games on it.

A1 and A2 refer to speed classes if I recall.

I have always thought that if you were smart you outta be able to make some translator software or something to fool a wii emulator to accept traditional controller inputs. Not map them to a controller, but actually force a wii to take controller inputs.

I’d argue that at the very least the launch version of the KT-R1 was objectively worse than the Odin 1 by a significant degree, and that it’s only gone from an “objectively severe degree” down to a “smaller subjective degree” with a lot of time, software fixes, and some price reductions. Even then though, it’s still got the fact that Nil has been constantly talking about fixing hardware issues in the thing, but never actually sending any of those fixes to people who need them.

Aka, the literal exact same issue that was going on with the Retroid Pocket Mini, and the literal only reason why we’re treating Nil with even less trust is because he’s spent literally years at this point on “fixing those issues”, and all he has to show for it is videos showing that the tactile buttons are working, and him literally trying to demand that people buy the magnesium shells that they didn’t even ask for just because it costed a lot to make them.

fact is the odin was facing multiple serious issues in it's first batch of units. i've been there. and i was very lucky to receive a perfect unit out of that batch.

the very same can be said about the ktr1. and again i was very lucky to receive a close to perfect early unit.

what ayn really excelled at is getting their act together, pulling the neccessary strings to get their product and qa up to speed.

ktr1's qa didn't improve enough in a reasonable time frame. also there is a significant language barrier and no support team besides the one dude who does it all. ofc the device couldn't take any significant market share in that state. and yeah, nil made a couple of unfortunate decisions.

it's a shame really, because the unit i got is testament that the product has a lot of potential. nil unfortunately didn't manage to use it.
