#Lenovo Legion Go 2
1 messages · Page 6 of 1
Should be
Oled might use a little more. But chipset should be more efficient and perform better at lower tdp
Can do 81wh battery swap on Lego 1 and might be comparable
Alright, let me tell yall why 30hz vrr isn't worth paying for, the thing is with math the more you divide a number the less the outcome changed. What I'm getting with is that if you got a 144hz display and ur getting 50 fps for some reason you can just cap framerate to 48, or if ur getting 40 fps u can cap it to 36
u got more and more options to work with the less ur fps is
Yeah. I said early. Fps cap resolves vrr. As long as your not having to cap it low
Once you get low it'll be noticable regardless
It's def cool tech. But I'll be when it's standardized and minimally priced if that's the main reason this costs so much
Variable refresh rate - as seen in G-Sync, FreeSync and console VRR - is one of the most transformative display technologies we've seen in gaming. Rather than limit a GPU's performance to the refresh rate of the screen, your hardware takes control instead, eliminating tearing and smoothing away variable frame-rates... except it's no magic bullet...
A good vid on it
Might be some cool outcomes from ai z2e and vrr tho
Again, why are people so focused on which handheld "wins?" Just be happy we have so many choices.
I for one am impressed Lenovo even did backward compatibility for the controllers
And while they are not as polished as Nintendo's joycons, they most definitely do not qualify as "half baked."
If you want the screen, get the LeGo 2.
If you want relatively close performance at a great deal, grab a used LeGo 1.
If you want to play while caressing 2 plastic dongs, grab an XAX.
I don't think people are "focused" we're just talking about an upcoming device
I think most people understand that. I hope
Many devices I've loved (pocket DMG) are rightly criticized 😆
I guess I should clarify that the controllers themselves are fine, I just think the actual use cases for them being detachable are half baked. Like yeah sure, you can take them off and use them for docked mode, but for the price of a controller connector I could also just buy a bt controller which would probably be more comfortable. And fps mode is just a little silly imo.
Yeah. Trust me. Gonna pick up Lego 2 controllers and looking at price I'm like, oof
Not sure if I'll ever use fps mode either
Haven't on Lego 1 so far
I haven't either but I just love the flexibility of them. I can sit my LeGo on my desk at work and nobody bats an eye
Having small kids, detachable is the only way to play sometimes. So I'm glad someone is doing it
Nice that the whole setup cost less then a switch 2 as well. Def doesn't hurt
not much .... its mostly SoC prices going wild that cause the difference
just look at all the hx370 vs 8840u ... its the similar kind of pricejump as the Z1E / Z2E has
so does that prove the z2e is not money efficient for companies to use?
imo its just that amd , nvidia and intel ... just dont give a damn anymore about anything but AI ... and jsut stopped caring about keeping the things reasonably priced ... while spaping AI in the names and pcbs jsut because that brings in the inverstor money and customers eb damned
I mean, only a $150 difference between the Z2 32 gb and Z2E Go 2 skus, and only a $100 difference between the rog ally x and xbox ally x.
so yes given MS is likely sibsidizing the assus stuff
Think it's more the smaller companies like gpd and onexplayer just charging more
Msi claw 7 ai is also $900
casue they dont have the economy of scale ... so they are paying the full price ... unlike global corpos that order at different scale ... you get different price when you order few thousends vs few hudnderds of thousands
Yeah exactly, that's why I think if Lenovo just made a go 2 with a z2e without the oled screen it'd probably be $1100 at most
but as of eight now with LeGo ... i will oprobably just wait for gen 3 or 4 before upgrading .. unless i find some really good deal
Seeing that you can buy the LeGo 2 controllers separately, it's expensive but I might bite the bullet for a good split controller option. Hopefully they work well on pc/steam deck!
are legion go 2 pre orders not available anywhere for anyone else
i never really tried to connect lego1 controlelrs to something else lol
Mine still not left china, so yeah def not getting it today 🤦♂️
lol
the screen is really cool but the price is very high
I guess we now have community provided FSR4 on RDNA 3.5
next gen should be nicer tho with native FSR 4
with a 1200p screen you want a good upscaler
on 8.8" you also see upscaling artefacts more than on a deck screen
Im surprised they battery life isnt much of an improvement over Ally X. As the Z2E is more efficient. Im thinking this OLED VRR screen drains a ton of battery
i think it kinda evens out
its sligtly less capacity ... but more efficient , but vrr oled
not sure if i saw batter tests on lower TDPs yet
I remember Asus saying they didnt go with OLED VRR for Ally X due to how power hungry the screen was. I was just wondering if this screen is power hungry where a LCD would have improved the battery life way more
Seen some of the tests Retro Game Corps did playing indie games at lower wattage and to be honest i expected way more battery life
tbh personally i would take oled vrr over slighl bigger battery life every single time 😄
but no clue there
allyx is 80Wh , lego2 is 75Wh
iirc
oh, u were talking about the ally x
kalos was 😄
if you are referring to the RGC video running a bunch of these games at native 1200p and the larger screen should be the reason why it looks like it's inefficient, the workload is just higher pushing more pixels
limiting the framerate will help a lot yeah
didn't even seem like an improvement going by the tests to me
Id love to see someone do further test. Running the same game on an Ally X at 1080p vs Legion Go 2 at 1080p. 17W and 25w test. What surprised me was i though Z2E was ware more efficient at 17W. But the indie games shown the battery didnt seem that great as I thought it will be so my assumption is the OLED screen is burning the battery a lot
there are a lot of variables like drivers
it's hard to tell what is going on rn, if you recall when the Z1E was new it also had different power draw in different games depending on the device people used and the driver
in theory it's on the same 4nm TSMC node and has more 33% more CUs - that would usually suggest it does better on lower power but we will see how that plays out over time
I am curious to see what one of my use cases for the Lego 2 (or XAX, for that matter) will be with respect to battery - PS2 emulation. Lower wattage gains should really boost the playtime for those games.
Steam OS is the way
it probably has a super fast ssd
I wonder how fast you can reboot into another os on it
Ok were on the move now. Finally left china. So hopefully by end of week 🙏🤞
Many of these are important tips.. but one is CRITICAL to do day 1. Don't make this error .
So i've heard Borderlands 4 was impossible to run on a handheld... and the Legion Go 2 is weak. Well, that's just nonsense. Let me show you
** Buy it here **
🇨🇦 - Lenovo Canada: https://lenovo.vzew.net/JKPkxa
🇺🇸 - Lenovo USA: https://leno...
Handy vid. Esp for newbies! Still odd choice it ships with 2gb vram
no wonder the tests show it being so mid
i personally would of been looking stupid for ages cuz i never think to re allocate vram
To be fair even when adjusted theyre still kinda mid. Incremental but nothing insane
Lenovo has an allergy to allocating a lot of VRAM. Original Legion Go was like this, so was the Go S. I was planning to go into the BIOS the moment I get the 2 to increase the VRAM.
To be fair, not ALL games need a lot of VRAM ... but a lot of the heavy hitters do.
Ship date hasn’t changed but still no movement…
where you find yours at
This is from Lenovo direct. I have one on order from Best Buy also but am gambling to see if this ship date is real (bb isn’t until 31st)
Support till 2031 :/
Surprising ABSOLUTELY NO ONE:
(There's no change to the expected delivery date on the Lenovo web site ... still "Est Delivery : Get it between Thu. Oct 09 - Mon. Oct" ... but I got an email about the delay this morning at 5 AM.)
Mine has left china finally. But i currently have no idea where it is. No updates aside from that 🤷🏻♂️🤦♂️
I got the same email.
Sounds promising though 🧐
Imagine your best buy one will turn up first though
I wonder if ASUS will manage to get the Xbox Ally out on time...
Doubt it
Hella people still believe this thing is a portable xbox
So it prob got wayyy more sales than it originally would of if it was advertised as a refreshed ally x
We will find out in another week. At any rate, I'm not really expecting the Go 2 to get here before the end of the month since that was the original release date here and not a Lenovo lie on their site.
Eh. Didn't really sell out tho
I think the price point all the negative influencer feedback that got did a number on it
I think it did, at least in the US. You can technically "preorder" it on Best Buy now, but you won't get it until December 12.
They just did the preordering different for the XAX on Best Buy (probably because they were actually expecting it to sell).
The only one you can still get on release day is the (white) Xbox Ally - the $599 Deck-equivalent one.
Went from october 17th to nov 14 to dec 12th they need to just delist the god damn thing
Just watched a review. Guy says mostly positives about it. Then at the end says it’s too expensive don’t buy it and wait for Xbox Ally X
I hope they all hate it and stop doing videos on it so I can corner the YT market on Lego 2 videos
Ms be throwing perks
Someday I'd just like them to ship my Go 2 ...
No chance of getting that early like the xax huh
Nah it sold out everywhere. We cant even get Go S anymore in UK
This is all we get on lenovo site for any legion go in UK
Very (UK retailer) also sold out
Hope so 😅 xax just seems like a rehash in my opinion. Esp with Z2E not being much better than Z1E 😅
…and now xbox game pass isnt really worth it
On way and then to warehouse in another location 🤔 this makes no sense
Definitely something weird going on with battery. I remember his ROG Ally X emulation showcase battery being way better than this
My suspicion is the VRR OLED screen burns more battery and I remember Asus mentioning this was one of the reasons they didnt go with OLED
Reason Deck OLED screen doesnt burn battery is its not native landscape and is a MIPI
Z2E at 17w and below should have way better battery than a Z1E
hmm
Need my lego 2 to arrive already so I can start doing tests... 31st feels so far away lol
I'm reduced to testing games on a Steam Deck .... A STEAM DECK I TELL YOU!
Looked back at the ally x vid and where I noticed the big battery gaps was where he now applies the "CRT Geom Deluxe" shader on certain systems, which he did not use a year ago for that vid. For the higher systems like PS2/PS3/WiiU where that shader doesn't exist the numbers are pretty even.
Not saying that's 100% the culprit but worth mentioning.
But even the review earlier with no emulation the battery wasn't that impressive
Something is definitely up
I think to be sure we need a test woth the same chipset
Xbox Ally X vs Legion Go 2 vs Claw A8
At 10w, 17w and 25w
Yeah def
But like even for NES he's pulling 8.3 W per hour, I find it hard to believe it wouldn't be able to be run at like 5 W or even lower.
Maybe the controllers are slowly sipping power from the tablet to stay charged up when disconnected 🤷🏻♂️ just a thought
Not an issue for aio devices like ally
Interesting theory. Could play with them detached and see the total draw difference
Yeah just a thought 😅 can imagine they are drawing some additional power from the tablet which you wouldn’t get with ally etc. When mine arrives I will give it a try
Preparing the older brothers to match up against their coming sibling…
I need to see an epic battle between the Legion Go 2 and the Anbernic WIN600.
Hydrogen bomb vs coughing baby
(I mean ... I'm gonna DO it if they ever ship my Legion Go 2. Might not actually FILM it, but they're gonna rumble.)
I have some movement again 😬
that one on the left looks goated idk why
Rip
Probably won’t even get here til after the 31st
One person on Reddit posted they have a January delivery date now
Yikes! Hows your best buy one doing?
Imagine they have commitments to 3rd parties. Very in UK got all their stock and dispatched it from what i hear
Ok my Go 2 is getting an all expenses paid trip around the world. Currently in new delhi 😅
reminds me of when m RP5 was coming ... that went such ridiculous across the world trip
I hope its bringing me some souvenirs 🤣
Oof yikes 😬
almost seems like that despie the crazy pricing ... they didnt expect so many orders
if you're gonna invest near or beyond $1k, might as well spend a few hundred more and get the Lego2, right?
i have watched few reviews ... and decided to wait it out for Gen 3
the improveent its jsut not enough for the price i would get by selling my Gen1
"Shipping Status Free Expedited Delivery with MyLenovo Rewards
Est Delivery : 01/08/2026"
This is some strange definition of the word "expedited" that I was not previously aware of.
Is that real? If so thats ridiculous
Ahhh sorry US date format threw me
Thought it was August 2026 😅
Yikes. Kinda shocked they oversold like that
I mean from smaller companies sure
I know oled harder to mass produce, so it's probably panel shortage
At least with Lenovo you know you'll get top bin oled
I'd be surprised to see a company not accept someone's money in advance of releasing a product or service.
Sure. But usually they set a release date and sell stock up to the quantity for that release
Like it's on the product page expected delivery
At least these major manus tend to be better with it. And the large retailers they sell through
So it's probably a yield issue with the new screen
It's still pretty ridiculous given the date it was promised to ship.
Lenovo apparently hired Ayaneo to take care of the Legion Go 2 release.
That it's only delayed until the original release date suggests that no one really wanted the Z2/16GB SKU ...
Don't hurt his feelings like that!
Got bumped to Jan 13th for my order in Canada now... Boo
Possibly. I only ordered it as maybe a comparison point but if it gets pushed back more may just cancel. Lets just hope Best Buy actually has my z2e on the 31st
Call it cope but I have a feeling the January dates are not a real date they're shooting for. Feel like they just told the automated system to push out the date and that's what it spit out, I heavily doubt they're waiting that long
I can't imagine it'll actually be three whole months for them to fulfill orders that were "supposed" to have already shipped. At any rate, as long as ASUS doesn't also flub their launch I should have something new to play with before too long.
Mines now on a euro trip
at least it's out there having the time of its life.
It’s travelled more than i have in my lifetime
I'm cancelling my lenovo.com order. Only really ordered it in the first place in the hopes I'd get it sooner than my Best Buy order. BB is the Z2E anyway and much easier to return if I end up not keeping it.
Easier returns are always a good idea, especially considering the cost. If I could, id buy it from bestbuy as well.
I'm keeping my Lenovo order for now because it was cheaper for me with an already-upgraded SSD than the Best Buy version. Though I'm not sure if I'll keep the order if it really does look like it'll be January after all. Right now I'm just going to wait a bit and see.
I'm in this one for the long haul. Maybe it'll end up being my birthday gift to myself instead of my christmas gift
Neat but I'm gonna wait for the actual release.
Didn't work on my WIN600 ... Might be a staggered rollout.
Also, touchscreen didn't work so I rolled back what DID get installed.
Lol
Wasn't reddit in panic just few days ago from official smd drivers potentially not working?
The lego 2 looks so glorious
But so expensive
I wish more handheld PCs had oled displays
I went from Steam Deck OLED to LeGo 1 and I am extremely happy with its screen
How is the battery life in comparison? The bigger screen is pretty sick
steamdeck oled is the best value for gaming if you care about handheld gaming
amazing battery life, okay preformance, great ergos, good controls, superb support
if you care more about home usage I think the legion go 1 is better
battery life is the biggest thing holding it back
If you do the battery upgrade, IMO there are no negatives
battery upgrade?
Battery upgrade + 3D printed backplate with better ventilation and separate compartment to house ribbon cable and 4 TB 2280 SSD, 2TB microSD, and left controller from the LeGo 2.
Yeah, there's a relatively easy battery upgrade for the LeGo 1
That's all I can find in my history right now. A lot of people have talked about it since then
I would avoid it... I ruined my legion go by doing the upgrade. You essentially need the new backplate as it's thicker so it pushes on the stock back shell and you need to remove a bunch of plastic for it to fit, not worth it in my opinion.
from what i checked there are multiple versions
76kw .. thats bigger and needs new backplate
81kw 10500mah .. thats bigger and needs new backplate
81kw 10203mah that fits fine
but well my RMA end in january ... so will decide then
might sent it to service in january "just in case" to kinda let them check it 😄
You could just do what I do, use a power bank if more power is needed.
It's better than a bigger battery, doesn't add to the weight.
i mean i do have printed "deckmate" adapter .... so i can attach powerbank easily
I had the 81wh model
had to be the 10500 i guess .. at least from i am reading around that the 10200 one sould be fine
will think it around after my rma runs out ... i dont really need it .. but its cheep and could extned the usecase 🤔
Order is out for delivery 😬
😅 still not in hand yet
18 days to go…
Now I am just waiting to see if ASUS will actually ship my XAX in three days. Who knows when Lenovo will do their thing ...
A bit irritated that ASUS doesn't charge until they actually ship while Lenovo just sits there with your money.
xax
Fulfillment of all these new pc handhelds is a joke. Claw 8 still often out of stock. Lenovo cancelling and pushing back orders. Reports of people saying their XAX pickup dates pushed back to January.
You'd think that these were the usual fly-by-nights like Ayaneo with this sort of nonsense ... not huge multinationals.
Absolute 🤡 show.
I feel ita completely different scale
Honestly, if anything, Lenovo, MSI, Asus etc tend to be worse with delays than Gpd, Ayaneo, etc.
92 days for me 😐
Even the original deck launch had a big delay.
Couldn't agree more. The launch of the Ally had tons of stock, same with the legion go v1.... these latest rounds are a joke by comparison.
This is true. Pretty sure i had to wait about 6 months for my OG deck
In US maybe, here it was quite lacking
On the original Ally it was?
Complaining to Lenovo's customer service right now to see why the big delay... curious to see what they'll say
Ready to be blown away by lenovo's customer service now
Dont let me down Atul
Yeah from what my friend told me (works at local biggest tech eshop) .... Asus only gave 50ish devices spread to 5 biggest shops here back then
We should at least get memes out of this. Very expensive memes, but ...
"I’ll check on your order status. I appreciate your patience." Oh I have all day. It's thanksgiving here
I have the 81wh battery mod. Shit is awesome
With bazzite it lasts days and days on standby
which one you ordered?
(might grab it by the start of the year ... when my RMA expires)
Several of us have done the battery upgrade with no issues. I know myself, @formal meadow , @tall willow , @karmic crypt have all done it successfully and been happy with the results.
I like the backplate mod because it has other benefits beyond accommodating any extra thickness of the battery. If you get the right backplate, it has a compartment that moves the SSD away from the motherboard, which further improves heat dissipation and gives you access to cheaper 2280-format storage options.
Has it come yet??
Mine would have been out for delivery too i guess if i hadn't cancelled lol, pain
👀
I wonder if I can find a dirt cheap lego 1 in the coming months
with lego 2 controllers and a battery mod it could be peak
and bazzite, obviously
It has, im just driving back now with it from the locker i got it delivered to 😅 im a little annoyed it wasn’t in a brown box. They slapped labels directly on it
Thankfully the security seal is intact
The 81wh battery mod has substantially improved the device for me, I truly have no desire to buy the LeGo2 now that I've done it
any links for the good battery mod?
Oh nahh that's well annoying!
It says legion go 2 all over the box 🤦♂️
Defaced with their stickers, rude tbh
Resale value plummeted
Well it did a world tour - should have stickers from each country.
Yep! Im just at dinner, so i will upload some pics shortly when home. But yeah resale value is crap now thanks to all the labels stuck to the box
Its real!
Sadly don’t have time to play with it tonight. But tomorrow! Oh boy!
Soft case is rubbish. I hate it already. Will be buying a hard case asap
Off the bat. Ergo is so nice compared to Gen 1. Weight isn’t too bad. Feels about to same to me at least as Gen 1. But its nicely distributed.

Hell yeah, happy for you, and not in the angry kid gif kinda way haha
Yeah. Hoping I can buy some soon and throw on my lego1
Controller feel real nice. Considering buying some for my OG Lego 😅
i can't get over how the newer and improved controllers look on the OG LeGo but first world problems
Dpad is worlds better
It arrived with 0% battery

ultimate troll
😅 I will need a week to put it through its paces 🫠
Im leaving it to do its thing while I’m doing other jobs. Gotta love windows updates
I’m just jealous, OKAY???
Fuckin windows man lol. When will they learn
Oddly it made me make a local account, not sign into microsoft account :/
Huh!
Yeah 😅
Very strange
Im guessing once im actually into windows it will force me
Finally…..OLED be poppin’
That's a gosh darn god dang screen right there
Blacks are real black
Time to change vram and reinstall drivers according to totally qualified people on the internet
Pardon me while I sulk in the corner for another 3 weeks
My eyes are melting at the moment watching an 8k oled test video
I wish windows hdr wasn’t such a headache
I just turned it on. Made everything look so much worse
Thats all folks for tonight 😅 sadly i have commitments. I rushed through setup. Will show off some gameplay tomorrow
Even my wife went woah that screen is amazing
I quite enjoy RTX HDR but obv that's not an option on handhelds
My wife asked me to try a bit of this game before i turned it off. Very colourful game
Speakers are really nice. About 30% volume in vid. I can hear decent bass. Much better than OG go 👍
Its probs not coming across on camera, but honestly this oled is nuts
You have to download and run the windows hdr calibration tool. And then adjust the sdr brightness slider. Still it’s not optimal for sdr content I’d only turn it on for hdr games and videos.
Ah sweet. Thanks for heads up. Going to start installing everything tomorrow when I have more time. So will give it a try 💪👍
The soft case for the LeGo S is also kinda crap. Looks like Lenovo is keeping up their tradition for soft cases.
Yeah its crap. I am probs going to get the case that @haughty hatch recommended the skull & co one. The fact i can push all the buttons through the case doesn’t fill me with confidence that it will survive a fall
My LCD Steam Deck got caught in the "update" loop out of the box, so it's not like Windows is the only janky shit around here.
If it's really set to 2GB and not to auto then changing the vram is not a BAD idea.
I will check vram tomorrow on mine, But yeah apparently they are shipping with 2GB.
Great choice! I loved that game when I played it. Perfect OLED showcase. Tetris Effect would be great too
Super hexagon is also a go to for my oled tests 😅
I'll have to try that one
But yeah i love SWH
Also good for testing speakers 😅
Endgame if Y700 gets this screen next
Best of both worlds
Looks nice!!
The joke about internet experts was more the second part.
Thanks. It is worth the wait 😬
Excellent! Just what I needed to hear
Yeah i have only spent an hour with it. Screen has blown me away. Im going to load it up tomorrow when i have more time with it.
@versed goblet congrats on getting it! Did you get the trigger + bumper issue some people are having?
Nope, mine seem to be fine 👍
Early days yet though
ok did the thing 😄
was cheap enough to YOLO ... while my LeGo1 is nearing the end of warranty period
will probably wait for Gen 3 now
Just buy the gen 2 controllers and your halfway there 😅
i think i am fine with the comfort grips 😄
Has anyone tried the gen 2 controllers on a regular windows pc and/or steam deck?
the ufo concept handheld we deserve
yes
i ordered these alongside the battery .. so hope it will look cool too
I honestly still kinda wish this thing had a 1600p screen
I would rather take 1600p for india games and 800p for tripple a games
I’m reserving resolution judgement until I see it in person. Usually I prefer 300ppi or more but this is at least more dense than something like deck oled.
also yeah the ppi might not actually be ideal for retro shaders or whatever
although I'm not the best judge
so don't count on that
I don’t even like playing retro on this big of a screen personally
Other devices for that
although i did try DS on my LeGo 😄
Ok confirmed comes set to 2GB out of the box. Just upped mine to 8GB
Setup begins
Aliexpress case isn’t too bad. Will do till i get a hard case. But would ideally like a case that lets me take joycons off
To copy paste the usual rant -
1600p is perfect for AAA games (800p integer scaled), emulation upscaling, older games, indie games, streaming, ebooks....
The very least 1200p should be better for shows and movies I guess
Super hexagon looking nice on the oled. Not a bad run for doing it one handed 😅
Counter point. 800p integer scaled is still 800p and on a 8.8” screen that’s pretty chunky. 1200p on a 1600p screen is less sharp than 1200p on a 1200p screen
But to be fair, a lot of retro games were designed to be played on screens bigger than the Legion Go (2)'s. We might have had smaller TVs back in the day, but 13" was still considered small.
Yeah but usually not 16” from your face heh
Regardless of how they were meant to be played is still an independent fact from my preference as stated.
I had a 19" TV on my desk as a "monitor" for my C=64 because I couldn't afford a 1702. That was also what my Atari got hooked to.
Hmm ... I don't mind the Lego S's screen at 1200P ... don't think I will actually mind the Go 2's screen being also 1200P.
Gah! I hate windows! .net is refusing to install for older games. 🙄 im sure i will figure it out
Can confirm.
LeGo 1 + LeGo 2 controller + battery + Steam OS = happiness
+maybe bigger ssd 😄
Okay, full list on mine is LeGo 1 + LeGo 2 controller + battery + backplate + 4 TB 2280 SSD + 2 TB micro SD + Steam OS lol

My is 2tb ssd+ battery ..... just hope I bought right battery
Will probably stay on windows for easier rpcs3/xenia
That's a lotta storage 😄
.net was a pain the neck. But finally got it working. Getting all my sonic games loaded up 😅
PC version of SA2
Sonic Mania looking pretty 😅
Loading all the staples of my library before I try harder stuff
Noice
Oooh
Have to have room for my meticulously organized collection of granny films.
Wow that vibrancy 🤩
Playing at night is esp awesome. Blacks are super inky black
ETA on that awesome for me is about a month
Maybe my pocket ds will ship in the meantime.......
oh yeah they shipped 14 devices of Flip 1S yesterday ... after month long wait
lets hope pocket ds will be faster
You ordered one too?
nah
i most likely wont be ever touching ayaneo again even if my flip 1s ever arrives
Fair. I had a lot of issues back in the day with my AYANEO Air Pro. I love their android side though.
Yeah. Sorry man. The way handled that and some of the issues they've shipped with. Yikes
Ayaneo almost just feels like an outsourcing contractor. And depending on who gets the contract it's either an awesome device or total ass
And it's completely random
They probably are to be honest.
Yeah. Wouldn't shock me. Feel like different lines are made by completely different chains. Which is probably true
At least with their air and konkr stuff it looks like they picked right
Can’t spell ignorant without ign 🤣
Both too expensive imo 😆
I mean, people have been waging tribal wars over ally vs. legion go for the last two years... nothing new.
This just in, luxury items are expensive and unneccesary but still fun sometimes. More news at 10.
tbh i am now quite excited for my new battery and skin to arrive 😄
I mean ... I'm buying one because I must have that screen, but it's fair to criticize the price. $1350 vs $1000 is a significant difference for what's effectively going to be the same performance for most games. And ASUS did get the full screen experience as a default, which is a usability win over the Go 2 as it currently exists.
ACSE is also better than Legion Space
It'll be like the Go 1 ... far fewer accessories because the Ally models are going to massively outsell the Go 2. (Part of the reason for that this generation is because Lenovo apparently can't actually make enough to sell - witness that you basically can't even buy a Go 2 in the US anymore, while you can still preorder/order the Ally models)
True, Legion Space is kinda ... ass.
Still has an annoying habit of just not working when you actually want to do something with it.
I just re-set up a go 1 from scratch for some upcoming videos. And just getting legion space isntalled and properly responding to the buttons (when it feels like it) was already a headache.
Hits button. no overlay. hit button again. no overlay. about to hit button third time. overlay flashes then disappears, then gets stuck halfway out.
lol
Time to put bazzite on and never look back
That is the definitive Legion Space experience right there ...
My bazzite lego1 is basically flawless
Oh, it's just on windows for comparison purposes. My go S is on steamOS.
Standby also lasts for 2 weeks with 81wh battery which is just kinda bonkers
I never turn my go s off
Just tap button for standby, never an issue. so much nicer than windows. Hibernate exists but doesn't always work
If you're still using Windows on a LeGo, I just feel like you're a masochist
I have my Go 1 on Windows because I actually do some not-gaming stuff with it, Usually its on a dock. It's a good mini-PC as it is.
100% positive feedback across ~300 reviews, but god damn this description is dodgy lol
Eh, if the pics and everything else is legit It doesn't particularly set off alarm bells
that ebay?
If he wanted to recoup money he would still be within his return period surely 😅 he would get all his money back
Very dodgy or just a scalper scalping
Yeah, just checked out of curiosity lol
Right guys i have my friends legion go 2 z2e here for sale. Based in London uk this has only been taken out of the box to test. Not even properly set up. He’s looking to recoup most if not all of what he paid for it. The receipt will be provided to buyer so they can set up the warranty. Any questions please ask. This console is sold out everyw...
Says zero feedback as a seller.
... but I vote scalper.
£20 delivery is a bit steep, but bearing in mind lenovo put label directly on box. So that box is going to look awful. Imagine they will have ripped all labels off
Yeah all purchase feedback. No sales
He also started the auction around £500ish. Who would be crazy enough to risk losing that much money :/
Looking a person beginning with 7***a keeps pushing the bids up
@grizzled trail look at this one £4k they are having a laugh right 🤣
It's set up as bidding, they know damn well someone will pay more than retail
Oh that's a good point. Could be a stolen ebay account...
Ahhh
Good Lord
Guys it's for real it fell off a lorry down the high street and me mate caught it just before it hit the street!
So I found this on reddit, and what's crazy, is my legion go S (on steam os) at 33w (2 less than this benchmark) gets 47-48fps - a whopping 8% improvement for the Go 2
And get this, my z1e Go s at 15w.... 33fps... the exact same.
Normally I might discard a reddit benchmark, but someone in another discord had similar numbers when they tested cp2077
Windows is the issue as always. Pretty sure i saw someone post on reddit windows vs steamos for go 2. Some definite gains to be had with steamos
Will see if i can find it
Xbox Ally performing worse than the Deck is interesting. Guess I'm not surprised - similar APU but Windows still a drain on performance for the Xbox Ally.
Yeah not really apples to apples unless they install Linux on the ally
Steam OS perf gains were immediately noticeable when I installed it on my Go 1
Looks like the real next gen handheld was the Claw 8 AI + all along
Intel has done miracles with their latest few driver updates
Still applies 🤣🤣🤣
I wish they made more than one a week though so more people can actually buy one 😅
Still low stock in the US?
VERY LOW

I'm sadly not joking when it seems like one unit comes in-stock every week
man i do want an msi claw 8 😄
Funny how this is exactly what i did
My claw gets here tmrw
Once the legion go 2 stock is abundant ill sell it and get a go 2 tho
Has Lenny said anything about when the controllers will be sold separately? That's the only thing I'm really interested in lmao
Pretty sure they are already available to buy
The site says "available soon" on both of them
Oh…..they did have some available…im guessing they sold out again. Hopefully be back soon
Might be worth asking the lenovo chat thing when they are being restocked
Ah dang. I'll probably just wait for them to be more readily available, thanks. Need to make sure they actually work well as regular pc controllers!
I prefer Legion Go 2 over Xbox Ally X anyway.
IGN has lost credibility.
Since the Sonic Racing Crossworlds review.
Way way before that
they had credibility?
i miss the days of getting my coverage from 1up.com
Verge and IGN both are going the same way IMO. As are most big publications in fairness. It’s hard to find a decent one these days. I actually find i get more out hearing opinions from the community i.e here or reddit.
Yep 😄 partly why i started reviewing XD got irritated with a lot of other places. Lot of community crap out there but it's the way forward
I like mobygames. Just bundle all the reviews together
I already bought and received mine...
Yeah, seems like they just sold out real quick. I guess the entire console is having stock issues? You hate to see it
To be fair, I had the page opened and checked multiple times every day for at least a couple weeks for them to come into stock. If I wasn't the first order, I had to be close.
Like when I first started checking they didn't even have an entry for the controllers on the stock page...then it got added, but it was out of stock...then I just checked constantly until one morning they showed up and I insta-ordered.
@manic rune is it only the z2e legion 2's being delayed or are the z2s pushed back aswell
Back to December ETAs in Canada
I don't know anyone who's preordered the Z2 version to even ask.
A quick read of people opinions on go 2 😅 will hopefully help the wait
For a few hundred more it makes sense.
I guess only two weeks after the supposed release date was too much to hope for...
... and I still don't think Lenovo has any idea what the word "expedited" even means.
In the meantime, ASUS has actually shipped my XAX and it's supposed to arrive Wednesday ... while Lenovo is apparently still looking under couch cushions for parts to try to cobble together a few more handhelds.
Lenovo really need to ship these in brown boxes. They have ruined the box on mine by slapping shipping labels on it. So resale value is gone. But also its plastered all over the box that its legion go 2. So hopefully when they do ship we wont get doorstep thefts etc
Mine came directly from china than a local warehouse
11 more days 🤞
44 for days for me
I’m almost positive BB will not ship on Oct 31 😂
Do Legion Go 2's for North America even exist? Will they just keep our money until January and then LOLrefund us?
I did store pickup and ordered day 1 so we’ll see
Hang in there everyone 💪 it’s going to be worth it!
Stay strong, Kings!!!!
I show you step by step how to upgrade your Lenovo Legion Go 2's SSD drive, we'll be removing the old one, cloning it to the new or (or using the recovery media route, I explain both) and then reassembling with tips and tricks along the way.

Pretty cool the fan acts as a heat sink for ssd
Best Buy just opened up second wave for Nov
Very UK had them briefly in stock today but sold out again
Best But shows it being ready by 11/12
I always get my handhelds from Best Butt.
This falls in line with what Lenovo told me with a better stock eta
Up for pre-order finally!
best Buy: https://rh-go.link/Lenovo-Legion-Go-2_BB
Lenovo Direct: https://rh-go.link/Lenovo-Legion-Go-2
Looks like only the Z2 Legion Go 2 (16GB/1TB) is on offer at Lenovo
(And who knows when they'd actually deliver...)
Yeah. I always get confused when I go there. Cause it's like, here's the models, and then it's just the lower one 😆
@vapid pier Don’t forgot the controllers can now be bought separately too for LeGo 1
Now available for preorder on main site. Not just their parts site
Although looks like they sold out quick. But guessing more should be coming
That's awesome!
Yeah and at BB seems only top spec is staying in stock
I saw it sell out and then pop back up for a while
For base
i think i would need to compare in hand 🤔 ... i am basically using the comfort printed grips and been fine enough
- i basically just upgraded the SSD and new bigger battery is on the way
They feel way nicer than OG. Imagine comfort grips will feel bigger in the hand. Bit how xbox ally flare out. This feels a bit more discreet. But vastly better than OG. It has curves in all the right places 😅
- i might wait it out for my warranty to expire before putting it in anyway
Make sure @north flax knows. I think Russ wanted some.
Hopefully your ping will inform him 😅 the controllers seem to keep going in and out of stock on main site. So worth refreshing
Ergo on the new controllers is great, but the biggest improvement is the d-pad. I didn't have a huge problem with the grips added before, but the d-pad always bugged me.
Granted, I'm also the one everybody thinks is a monster because I'm using the new Go 2 left controller on a Go 1 unit with the original right controller with comfort grip. 😛
Nothing crazy about it. The gap at top and bottom is the only thing that annoys me about go 2 controller on go 1.
You have a grip for it?
Yeah. Aliexpress one
Its not bad. But it doesnt allow you to take controllers off. So it will do for now till I find a better case
Also these are the only screen protectors I found that fit. I tried a few and they were all too big
AM Film is great
Wish I saw that before I bought the official one
Yeah they seem to be only ones the correct size. There isnt many accessories out 😅 so mostly relying on Aliexpress for now
Their softcase that comes with the lego2 is absolute rubbish though. Im probs going to get the skull and co hard case that keeps getting recommended.
That fits?
Yep. Its tight but it fits apprently
@haughty hatch is using this case for theirs
yep
In all honesty, I haven't felt the need at all to putz around with anything on mine after this one last "mod." I absolutely love it, daily drive it every day as both game handheld and laptop on my desk at work. Fucking awesome device.
you cant add another grip case
Sounds awesome. LeGo 1 was my daily but now go 2. Still keeping my go 1 though to tinker with
Waiting for a tate mode attachment really for go 2. What made me fall in love with the Go 1. The flexibility
Poor choice of game though 😅 only pic i had to hand
you gotta do NDS 😄

Yeah, I do pinball on mine. Pinball FX, Zaccaria, Demon's Tilt...
The case situation is a bit annoying with all these new devices. So I have to spend $1k-$1.5k on the device and y'all can't even throw in a serviceable carrying case?
... while I can pick up a Steam Deck for $320 and Valve ships it to me in a perfectly functional hard case so I don't feel like a have to buy one.
(At least the OG Legion Go came with a case I could actually put in my backpack without worrying the system would get damaged...)
i kinda use tablet case fo my LeGo tablet 😄 and unbranded rg405v ase for gamepads
i also have printed half case for when i have it all in my workbag from some slovak guy on etsy
I have ordered these same protectors and they arrived at my home today. I'll try them later
Yeah these seem to be best i could find
Amazon hate me. A lot of returns 😅
I'd say that it's enough when it does its work 😊
Protecting the screen, without lifting up
@versed goblet Where did you order your Legion Go 2 from again?
Lenovo directly
But it shipped from china rather than a local warehouse
I managed to order on UK site before it disappeared. No longer showing on there now
I ordered via lenovo as i get work discount. So managed to get price down on the z2e model
I also have this same case but it doesn't fit to me 🫠
I bought another type of case
Oh really! I knew it was a tight fit.
It's arrived with the protectors
Which one if you dont mind me asking?
I'll link it
Still searching for a decent case
I ordered 4 different cases 🤣 I'm a lot picky 🫠
Lenovo's supervisor gave me a more accurate details on Canadian shipping. Nov 3-7th.
But I want a case that maybe doesn't press on the analog sticks or bumpers
And the original case sucks🫠 I wish Lenovo made the case like the LeGo1
Thats not bad! Some people still have estimates into 2026
Agreed. I can press the buttons through the crappy case they supply
Imagine no support for screen if dropped
Yours is still showing December on the site, right?
I get mad for that case, i just refuse to playing on the go for that case
@versed goblet according to the measures, this case should fit
https://www.amazon.it/gp/aw/d/B0192PLKSO?ref=ppx_pt2_mob_b_prod_image
It also comes woth sponge pre-cut so you can give the shape of the LeGo
Correct
But as the supervisor states, early nov shipping
Sweet cheers. Military grade 💪💪💪 haha
I want the best protection out there without having the button press issues🤣
I also ordered this
https://www.amazon.it/gp/aw/d/B0FKGMBTYK?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_image
But returned because you need to do some 3D printing sheanigans and I don't have a 3D printer (for now)
But it fits well in the bottom
But you still need spacers for left and right
Yeah i sold my 3d printer. I like your thinking with the tough case though.
Its a shame its so hard to get hold of. Hopefully we will get more options soon for cases. Heck i’d even get a dbrand killswitch case if they did one at this point
Honestly I want a 3D printer, but I simply don't have space in my home 🫠
And the money.. i just bought the LeGo2 (900 bucks..)
I hope so too
Go s got a killswitch. So 🤞
There are some silicone cases btw
This is my Lego 1 case
The controllers just go in a pocket of my backpack.
Much more compact than a big hard case, especially when I carry the backpack anyway.
My aliexpress one is doing the job atm, but would like one that allows me to take controllers off
Yeah but it's a pain every time you want to play because you need to connect the joysticks
This one will allow me to carry the power brick too as well as the joystick connectors (on saturday will be delivered to me the Legion Official one)
Plus the 2D drawings of this case are public, so if you want to make some 3D printed stuff to hold things better you can
I use mine on my desk at work every day, so I disconnect the controllers anyway.
Of course for your use case is the best thing to do
I have been a traitor to my OG Legion Go because I've recently been using it exclusively docked with a Gamesir G7 Pro instead of the joycons.
lolol
That's not being a traitor
That's exploiting the device's flexible design features
i mean my gf has been using it exclusively as tablet ... while having 8bitdo sn30 gamepad with it
In other news, there are people who haven't uninstalled copilot.
Gotta say that so far I am enjoying my XAX. It's going to be my travel handheld PC while the Legion Go 2 stays safely at home. If Lenovo ever ships it to my home ...
80Wh battery is nothing to sneeze at, after all.
Gpd win mini for travel. Lego 2 for couch
I'm not gonna pretend the xax or anything that size would ever leave the house for me 😆
Love seeing the gpd win mini getting recognition, it's truly the Goldilocks PC handheld in their lineup of products.
i loved Win2 back in the days ... so mini so far has been its great successor 😄
I brought my XAX to work yesterday (had a bunch of dead time in the middle of the day). Turns out my Legion Go S case fits my XAX well enough (it's not molded to the Go S) for travel until I get something more official.
Just never been a fan of the mini laptop form factor (Had a Sony Vaio mini and a JVC mini note ... and haven't wanted to mess with that form factor since).
Yeah. It's doable. I used to bring my steam deck around. Problem is id also occasionally want a keyboard. Etc. I ended up with a bt Lenovo one that's pretty sweet. The fact that you can pop controllers off Lego 2 and use the kickstand is pretty sick for that. And win mini works great in a pinch
Bingo! This might be the case 💪
@versed goblet i tried this case as well 🤣
It fits and the protection for the screen is great
But I returned (🥲) because the LeGo 2 slides a little up and down (there is 2 mm i think of space) and when it goes up, the bumpers are pressed 🫠
So to avoid this you should put a little spacer between the upper side of the LeGo2 and the case
I tried with a cardboard spacer I made but I didn't like the fact the LeGo2 gets stuck in the case..
I could try again ordering a 3D printed spacer.. thick enough to not get stuck the LeGo2 and the bumpers not pressed
I also found this case, but no option to ship in Italy via Amazon so I want to make 1000% sure that it fits how I like so I can order in their website..
Ahhhh ok thanks for the heads up. The hunt continues 😅
It's been like 4/5 hours a day for me to look for the best case out there
I'd like to see if this one is ok
Its on amazon uk. I will get it and give it a try and then return if not great
On jsaux site they say it should be ok
Oh perfect, can you check for me the internal dimensions for the vertical side? It should be ok if the size is 145 mm (for this measure it's better using a spacer)
But according to the pics, i'd say it is 140mm more or less
It could be ok too, but i want to verify with the pics
Arriving on Sunday 👍
Sorry only just managed to put order in. Busy day at work
This yeah
Its not bad actually for aliexpress. But it doesnt let you take controllers off
Well, if the LeGo2 fits with the silicone case in this, it surely fits without🤣
How is your feeling in playing with the silicone case ?
thats nice one ... is there varant ofr firs lego?
Feels great. I actually quite like it. But it makes it into an all in one unit though. Hopefully they will come out with a 2nd gen design soon that lets you take controllers off
There is 2 secs 🙂
Not the shop i got mine from but gives you an example
They also sell them for xbox ally x
Same style case
If all else fails. This one comes with a case. Didnt have that option when I ordered mine
https://a.aliexpress.com/_EueqT9a
nice .... i like it has open space for the stand ... which the one i have for a long time doesnt have
That store may not be cheapest. But should come up if you search “legion go tpu” 😅 think its a no name brand case that just does drop shipping via aliexpress. Its actually pretty good quality wise. Ive had worse from AliE before
i think they started making his style some time afer i ordered he oled one 😄
would be nice if it also improved the shape of lego1 controllers
It does have a bit of a bump on the lego 2 model. So gives it a bit extra cushion to grab onto. Which is why I like it. Lego 2 has good ergo. This just gives it 10% more really.
Ha looks good but wow this looks huge!
Haha i have small hands 😅
Its about same size as Gen 1 really
Case doesnt add much to it
I should probably have already ordered this so it would arrive in time... $25 is steep for aliexpress though lmao
Looks like I can get the same silicone case on amazon for cheaper (still not fast delivery though)
oh wait there's a prime option for 20, cool
This looks to be the same for cheaper if you're in the US: https://www.amazon.com/NINKI-Shockproof-Anti-Scratch-Protective-Accessories/dp/B0FVF7LS91
@versed goblet do you have an issue with the left joystick cap hitting the case? Lol saw someone on reddit complaining about joystick issues but turned out to just be the case.
Yeah thats the same one
$62... damn
I havent noticed anything. Mine works fine. Been playing fine. 🤷🏻♂️
Ima hit up my jsaux contact to try their case
I got one arriving sunday. So will let you know. Its hard to find a decent hard case 😅
Wow I walked right into that one 🤦♂️
That Legion Go is definitely excited to see someone.

===========================...
He is using same grip as me
Yeah. Hoping someone comes out with separate joycon grips
Yeah totally gonna spend $80 on a battery bank that is half the capacity of a $40-50 one, lol.
But it has a kickstand 😅
Give it a little bit and this will be clearance.
@versed goblet the JSAUX case is supposed to be delivered today correct?
Tomorrow 🙂
Oh okie, let me know then
Will do 🙂
If it could help, it should fit better using the protection as cover for the bottom
I saw in the review pics that the vertical size is 140 mm
Arriving in a few hours. So keep you updated
Ok thx mate
@high cypress @plush acorn got it! Massive case. Like huge! 😅 but in a good way. Loads of room to stash accessories in here. The LeGo 2 plus my case. Fits just fine. The flap over the screen was a bit tough, but after a few folds it has loosened up. There is a 1cm gap on the sides of the lego. To the left and right. No gap on the top and bottom. Although there is a gap on the sides. It doesnt slide around. I have shaken case around. LeGo 2 doesnt move. I think its essentially sat in the grooves underneath perfectly. So yeah no movement whatsoever
@versed goblet many thanks for the feedback!
Could you please take a pic for the gap top and bottom?
Cant fit a uk plug in underneath section, but uk plug stick out a bit. So not the cases fault
Do you feel the LeGo 2 fit just fine or a bit forced?
With the flap up please 😅
No force needed. Sits fine. And easy to get out too
Ignore music in background
Me trying to wiggle it
Oh this is nice 😊 thanks a lot for the feedback, so for you this is THE case ?
Yeah. But it does feel massive. Biggest case i own
But im fine with it for the protection it offers
Time to buy then, awful that there isn't option for Amazon italy
I just need a slim charger to sit inside the case
Uk plugs stick out annoyingly
So doesnt sit flush in case. But im sure i can find a slim charger out there
Thats not the fault of the case though. I think its expecting a US or EU charger. UK ones a bit awkwardly shaped
@jovial shell just a heads up when you get yours. We may have found perfect case. Sadly the free one it comes with is trash. So don’t recommend keeping it long term
I rarely use cases, just my tomtoc sling
Good to know though! Which one?
😉 extra content. Best cases for LeGo 2 😅
Anything is better than the rubbish free one though
It’s ok if at home. But def wouldnt travel with it. Provides 0 protection
Maaaaaaybe
lenovo needs to release a keyboard accessory
I refuse to play on the go with the Go 2 woth the original case
Im eyeing up the key-to-go 2 from logitech. Seems pretty slim. I think it may fit in the new case i just bought 😬
Same. But glad that hell is over now 🤣
that works with the legion go 2?
Bluetooth
I was thinking about attaching
it's literally a mini laptop
Although idea has just come to mind. Flat Usb c to usb pointing upwards cable. That would make keys to go into a usb keyboard
This would work
They did. I have it, and it is glorious. https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/accessories/acc500164-thinkpad-trackpoint-keyboard-ii-overview-and-service-parts
Use it every day.
this thing attaches to the go 2?
You mean physically?
I’d settle for them making a thinkpad mini with the y700 lcd in this size category lol
Give it the nipple mouse and a touchscreen, no trackpad
I would buy that shit so fast
Can second that Lenovo keyboard. Been so useful with x86 handhelds
@plush acorn hows your bestbuy order looking? Still 31st? 😬🤞
BB usually decent at hitting deadlines. Guess we'll see tho. Hoping my Nov 12 gets bumped up honestly. About 5 cancellations a day and I was on site when Nov 12 stock dropped
Hopefully. It’s never said a date, always just been “well let you know when it’s ready”
I did store pickup and not shipping
I should have probably done pickup
I was just speeding through cause I thought it was a cancellation for launch
I ordered day 1 so hopefully it’s ready Friday
I’m working from home so I’ll pick it up on lunch break if it’s ready
I don't have that much confidence in it based on prior launches at BB
Mine is even more vague.
it will be interesting to see what happens 😅
@versed goblet I asked to JSAUX if the case you bought could be avail in Amazon Italy
They answered me that it shoul be avail next week, so 🤩
Just ordered skull n co stick caps. Slowly coming together 😅
Getting vibes of when i put all accessories on my gameboy back in the day
Not my pic 😅
I've got them (well, their "Savage Raven" sub-brand) on my Switch 2 and they rule
I have them on most of my handhelds. But finding ones that fit the lego 2 is tricky. Was recommended steam deck ones. Apparently fit fine
Status has changed to say Friday 👀
Steam Deck caps fit perfectly. Caps ✅ TPU Case ✅ Hard Travel Case ✅ 1TB SSD and 1TB SD ✅
I feel like more can be done with the LeGo 2
heh ... thats how my LeGo1 will feel when i am done with it .... the new battery, skin and tpu should arrive by the end of he week
💪💪💪💪 sounds awesome. Waiting for black friday to get a 4TB drive. But this thing is going to become a beast in the words of ETA 😅
oh i have 2tb drive ready for it too , but waiting for everything to arrive before putting it in
May as well do it with battery 👍
Considering upgrading my lego1 for the wife 🙂 so will see how you get on with yours
- i need to print 2230 to 2240 extender 😄
Did you just get legion go screen protectors?
Only 3rd party ones that fit. I tried a few. Amazon hate me for all the returns 😅
Most claim they fit but are too small
amFilm are one of the best third parties. If they're ever an option I always get them
Yeah i think i got them on my switch 2 as well 👍 fit perfectly
Thank you @ETAPRIME for throwin a bone and letting me use this legion go 2 for a good amount of time. Legion Go 2 compared to the xbox ally X video coming right after this one.

His gushing over the screen is how i feel 😍🫠🫠
i will probably upgrade to gen 3 or 4 for oled 😄 .... given the upgrade i will do soon for my gen 1 i am in no rush 😄
Gen 1 still has one of the best LCD screens out there! So i don’t blame you
i was considering it ... especially given how thx to dollar falling ... the gen 2 isnt that much pricier here than Lego 1was on launch )
but then i just had different expenses (pricey car repairs) and was just cheaper to get vigger SSD and battery
If you can afford it, def the current x86 that makes the most sense. Alternatively I'd go with an Apex for top power. With this you get Lenovo support and parts tho. Hard to argue with that
tbh powerwise i see it as minor upgrade from lego1
For sure. But OLED, better ergos, etc.
will be why i will wait for gen 3/4 instead for bigger powerjump
I might not upgrade from a Lego 1 (even tho I am), but it's gonna be top dog from a major manu until next round of amd chips relese
true
Yeah. Might be another full year til 3 drops
Maybe longer. Feel like trade wars are slowing stuff down
and with me adding 2tb ssd and 81kwh battery to mine .. this weekend (if everything arrivers and post people dont fuck me up)
it will be quite refreshed for another year or two 😄
for ergo i usually either just use Tablet + Pro 3 anyway 😄 or comfort grips ... so not really needed either
if i dont messup the battery change 🤞
Yeah. I mean it's def not a bad alternative
Financially it makes more sense. Especially if you're optimistic and assume prices will go back down at some point
Somehow it feels wrong to check on the status of my Legion Go 2 order using my Legion Go.
... but I did get one of those Trackpoint keyboards and it is NICE.
I try to tell people
Yeah. Thinkpad Bluetooth keyboard is amazing for handhelds
Especially legion with kickstand
It's basically my X1 Tablet's keyboard but universal.
Battery has arrived
For anyone else wanting just the controllers, I received this notice this morning
now i need to print the 2230-2242 extender
I wish Lenovo had an official magnetically attached Keyboard cover like we get with tablets. It would have been my all in one laptop replacement.
i got printed one from etsy 😄 .. works OKish
But doest it actually attach to the decice and cover screen
works like this basically
I work a hybrid job it would be nice to simply use this for work and take it in the train with me
Oh its a cover that just adds too much bulk
How easy is it to remove it
tbh you hardy find slimmer keyboard
Thars why I wish therr was something official that connects magnetically I like my keyboard cover for Samsung Tablets
Hell they could have even sold this without controllers and just keyboard for a different market
yeah ... tbh it works eneought for my needs - aaka when i go to work at some customers offices , its fine enought to slide in alongside work laptop (so i can conect to computer at home , which is impoossible with work one)
that keyboard/cover looks awesome, only thing missing is a track pad or a mouse nub
If this thing has already come out how come this channel still exists?
It's not out in the US until tomorrow
Tomorrow is official release date (or was their original release date). UK and EU got theirs early
When I ordered mine. It was originally 31st Oct date for delivery
Time for surgery
bestbuy canada doesnt have it yet lmao
here is skin
Ooooo kill switch next hopefully
Congrats 💪 now the fun begins
after its calibnrated by few full discharges , yeah 😄
still need to apply the skin too to personalize it a bit 😄
Such a shame. Go S got that treatment
It says ready for pickup. Store isn’t open yet it’s only 6am here
Still waiting for Lenovo to ship. I'm sure they have been having a party with my money for the last month.
Funny thing is that ASUS didn't actually charge my credit card for my XAX until it had been delivered.
whoo!
i have been testing my new LeGo1 battery 😄
so good :-D'
4h of Forza 3 on default power mode
btw how is the case that comes with LeGo2?
i have been wathing to get some slim case ... cause the official lego2 one is monstrously huge and seen the LeGo S and Lego2 being slimmer
I think it's pretty much the same as the Go S case. Which is to say, the materials feel nice, but it's a soft case so won't protect the joysticks from getting pressed in in a bag
thats fine ... i got stick protectors 😄
oh that looks slimmer than i though ... might be exactly what i need 😄
Bit more snug on go 1 but still fits.
Not sure if that sipper would leave marks on the bumper
cool cool and seems like they got discount for one in local shop ... will try tomorrow i guess 😄
Is the case still included or was this separate?
Included
Nice! That doesn't look bad at all
the velcro compartments on the bottom hold the FPS mode goodies
I like that its more compact
i basically just want soemthing that doesnt fill whole travel bag when i go to my hoetown for a weekend 😄
This time they included a bumper to cover the rail in fps mode
i printed those myself ... for when my gf uses it as work tablet 😄
It's for the controller side, not the tablet
oh that would be usefull too ... lets see if there are print designs
oh nevermind , i forgot i have the magnetic jsaux ux ones 😄
plus i dont think i ever used fps mode 😄
I don't ususally. I am using it right now to setup windows though
i own these .. was like dollar from ali 😄
Wut? You aren't just wiping it and loading Steam OS?
BLASPHEMY
Very happy for you @plush acorn 🥳🥳🥳
It provides 0 protection. I have moved onto the jsuax case now
This thing is built like a tank
@plush acorn first impressions of the screen?
and looks quite thick
🙏 they do a kill switch. Id even take a 3rd party one
I mean, gotta do YT videos on windows as well. I have a 2tb set aside I'm gonna swap in and dual boot bazzite probably.
so the first big test of the new battery (from full charge to let it die on itself):
+- 4h of Forza Horizon 3 on 50% brigness and balanced power mode
Just getting hdr calibrated now
Not sure I see a huge difference, but will play around
interesting..
oh true 😄
which one?
i did print my own for Lego1 ... wasnt amazing but good enough for pinball 😄
doesn't that block the exhaust?
This made me lol, why so wide 😅
Nah watch the vid. He shows it doesnt
Useless legion space. Said everything was up to date, but there was a newer graphics driver as a download from lenovo.com
It is winter soon 😅
Yeah i did that. Lenovo did say that amd now does the graphics updates
They said that, but then I think it was a lie
pretty sure I saw more recent info that sideloading is blocked
Oh?! In fairness i havent tried. I did mine via lenovo site too
@plush acorn was your unit set to 2gb by default too?
Xax is set to 8 by default
there are some wikd ideas on etsy for accessories
Yea, changed it to 10
Noice 💪
Will have to tough it out with the XAX until Lenovo gets off their dead asses and ships my Go 2.
Looks exactly like my Go S case. But had to pay extra for it, of course. There are even the little Velcro pockets (which I just put a cord in ...)
Performance could be better but hdr here looks glorious.
They probably designed it with go 2 in mind, and just released standalone since it fit go s also
So glad lenovo finally added more gyro options so i can have it activate on LT pull
ugh, stupid m1/m2 still annoying handheld
I think it's actually worse than lego1 since the shape makes your hand more flush. Obviously way more comfortable but my hand is constantly clicking those side buttons
The tpu flattens these buttons and i rarely press them. But silly you need to rely on an accessory
I just never bound those on the OG Go.
what do you mean?!!? why aren't you getting 50-60 fps with it like on the base Xbox Ally...
Let me guess, they were using FSR framegen and lossless scaling at the same time
