Yeah, it's pretty challenging and it really depends on what controller you're using or if you've calibrated the analog stick in an emulator to make it function like the OG N64 analog stick.
That's a big part of the reason I play N64 games on original hardware, it gives me the option of using a Hori Pad Mini. c:
(You can also get a Bluetooth adapter that'll allow you to use the Nintendo Switch Online N64 controller on original hardware)

I found emulation of N64 is to turn the sensitivity down on the stick.

Yeah, the Classic controller was a bad choice for N64 games on Wii Virtual Console because its analog stick was too sensitive.
Same goes for playing the GameCube version of Ocarina of Time. I bought a physical copy and tried playing it on my Wii. It's doable but it also has the same problem.

I think the first catch for both Child and Adult Link was the weight needed to get the prizes.

I think as Adult Link I was just too slow to set the hook the first time.

Yeah, that guy only has so many magic beans though, ||one for each soft soil location||, just FYI.

And if you want to farm rupees, there's a gold one worth 200. It's ||in a secret hole in Kakariko Village past the tree a bit, where you have to put a bomb||.
And there's a few respawning red rupees at the entrance to ||Hyrule Castle Town, if you run up the bridge's chains and then jump off. They also respawn.||

You could ask Rapid but I'm pretty sure he said that it doesn't count.
It might not have been official, I think he said he was leaning in that direction because when OoT was nominated before he had ruled that MQ wouldn't count, or something along those lines. That's the last I saw him comment on it though.

Keep in mind that Metal Slug X didn't count when Metal Slug 2 was GotM, so it's a safe assumption that Master Quest doesn't count for OoT.

As far as I know, they rearranged the dungeons to make them more difficult.
It's mostly the same game though, with the same story and overall the same progression I assume, so I personally think that it should count.

Thankfully you can slow down the aliens by playing the ||Inverted Song of Time||.
The premise is really cool, but if you fail then you're forced to watch a long cutscene that can't be skipped, and then you gotta play the Song of Time to go back to day 1, then buy a Goron TNT thing, then blow up the rocks to get to Romani Ranch, then play the frickin' Song of Double Time and then wait for 2 a.m. or whatever.
The UFO side quest is a good example of the problem with Majora's Mask.

Unless of course you're emulating the game and can use save states, which I'm kind of regretting not doing.
I could've played MM on Switch, but I decided to go with original hardware and the Redux ROM hack. I'm starting to think that wasn't such a good idea.

Water temple done. Only a couple extra cycles through water levels thinking about it while it’s fresh in my mind, the puzzles are actually decent, and there are pretty good clues for the two keys that I missed on the first go round (and I think are easy to miss), but the dungeon gimmick of changing water levels is just designed in a very unzelda way (feels like it funnels you away from a couple necessary stops) so it feels out of place. Plus a little tedious to cycle water levels (and switch boots, but that is mitigated in 3DS and SoH). That being said, it is pretty satisfying to recognize the clues and have the “ah ha” moment. It’s been long enough I didn’t remember specifics of where to go.

Actually it feels a little like a BotW divine beat, except you can’t make the physical change from the pause menu in an arbitrary order

I don't think I've ever had a difficult time with the fishing mini-game.
Once you know where the big fish is, then it's just a matter of exiting and re-entering that place if you fail to catch it, so that it resets its position to the original position.

Playing SoH and I'm having major issues with the right stick and accurately getting the correct item as a C stick. Driving me crazy. I'll try to hit right to grab something for example and it will input as up or down at least 50 percent of the time. Don't know if it's my dead zone or an overly sensitive stick.

its not that fancy. u have to get the item from forest to clear water. you have to clear forest and get the item from water or shadow to do spirit. you have to do water and fire to do shadow.

spirit and shadow especially there's evidence that their order was swapped late in development and u can definitely do those in either order

I have my dock connected to my tv via hdmi. I use a Bluetooth controller. I’ve been Steam games with it. I’ve used emulators with it. For some reason SoH is the only thing I’ve done that doesn’t recognize it. I even made sure it was set as my primary controller.
