I can’t remember how I fixed it but just for fun I asked ChatGPT

1. Check for Duplicate Bindings in RetroArch
   • Open RetroArch and go to:
   • Settings → Input → Port 1 Controls
   • Make sure only one controller is assigned to Player 1 and that no other ports are set to the same controller.

2. Disable Autoconfig for Extra Devices
   • Navigate to Settings → Input → Port 2 Controls (and other ports).
   • Set “Device Index” to “Disabled” for any duplicate controllers.

3. Manually Configure the Controller in RetroArch
   • If all else fails, go to Settings → Input → Port 1 Controls, and manually bind your controller buttons.
   • Save the configuration under Settings → Input → Save Autoconfig.

I was trying to fix my problem with the Wi-Fi on my E6 Plus and its just get worst. I don't know what I did with the RKDevTool that now I cant boot up from the SD card, and when I install the android2linux.apk and use it to change, its just turn off and restart again to the Android.

Every time I boot into chaos OS and shut down and boot back into Android if I try to boot back into chaos I crashes on load until I reflash sd card again. Anyone else experience this?

I don't know if Android writes something to the card that messes up linux boot or if chaos does something during shutdown that makes it unbootable.

it's that akp to reboot into Linux that does it! It must not work with chaosOS.

I just tested with a fresh install and it breaks chaos. Don't use that. Sorry if that was common knowledge. 😅

Hi guys! Quick question: Is the E6 Plus any good for Android game streaming? (Luna, Steam Link, Moonlight etc.) Any problems with controller mapping? That's would be my main aim, a cheap android game streaming platform. I would ideally update to Android 13.

The only thing I remember doing was that I activated "advanced energy saving", used it and then turned it off, a while later I turned it on again and deactivated "advanced energy saving" on the jelos.It's the only thing I remember doing since the last time I saw the WiFi working

I have seen some games with separate builds for ardeno and mali - could be that depending on where you got the game from - playstore would probably supply the correct one but if it's sideloaded then it could be for the wrong chipset

I don't have an E6 Plus so I can't compare, but i would say the E5 Plus' buttons are fine

the shoulder buttons feel very nice and have a nice sound to them, but they're not the most reliable shoulder buttons i've had

the face buttons are of average quality, not too soft but not too firm, the plastic of the face buttons are maybe not as good as average though

Ill probably reshow how to do fast, upresed ps1 in retroarch sometime. That knowledge has somewhat faded from the public eye.
weirdly, it runs faster in 32-bit retroarch if you want to put in the time to install/configure it. that's one of the only benefits to having both distros installed

IMHO It's kind of unfortunate that BT is not available. It's an android handheld after all.. It can have so much more uses then most Linux handhelds due to it's android ecosystem. Limiting it's Bluetooth functionality severely cut's into the "everyday and alternate usability" of the device. It's not a dealbreaker, just a slight disappointment. It's like having the newest budget BMW 3 series, being a perfect car in all aspect's. Except for one little problem.. It's AC never worked. It doesn't make it any less of a car.. You still get from A to B no issue. It's just not as comfortable as it was intended to when designed.

Regarding Bluetooth, the current version does not have a Bluetooth module. But we will soon add Bluetooth firmware so that it can be used with a Bluetooth adapter. The version with built-in Bluetooth module may appear, but I am not sure because it requires the boss's decision. The first batch of machines we produced consisted of a total of 2000 motherboards, none of which had built-in Bluetooth functionality. I answered the question about Bluetooth..
In summary, there may be firmware updates that support Bluetooth adapters. However, it is currently uncertain whether it has been successful. So friends who mind can wait a little longer.

BTW, I think people should know the E6 Plus unit I received yesterday is awesome. This is clearly a REV2(+) because it does not have the same style of d-pad and shoulders as the YouTube reviews everyone hated, but instead it has the Sega-style d-pad. I wish it had more central pivot, but otherwise it is a really nice d-pad and I will not be replacing it. The shoulders are pretty quiet (a little "thunky").

i think there is generally a server rules issue here with (a) providing information for finding playstore games to sideload and (b) providing information on where to find roms.

So long as it's not a paid app you're fine when it comes to sideloading playstore games

As for roms, all we can say is go to google or reddit r/roms

I’m really tempted to just get sega controllers and steal the d-pads for the E5 plus

I wish I knew how to get the updated d-pad separately

I wonder if they use an off-the-shelf aftermarket part, like for Xbox series s or something

So many controller manufacturers seem to have the exact same sega-style d-pad but I can’t find just the d-pad for sale anywhere

I’m just saying that at this moment, your options are a beta build of GammaOS Core, ChaOS (an outdated JELOS modified from PowKiddy x55 stock firmware), and the GameMT official update. The latter of which is currently the best supported.

For physical mods, the joysticks should be replaceable with Switch parts, and I think the d-pad is an Xbox series s part.

I am personally good with the new GameMT D-pad that is on all of their current revisions of devices (as long as you get one of the newer units shipped to you!) but I bought a bunch of E5 plus’s for my kids and they have the bad jelly d-pad, so I am trying to figure what my options are now

The device ships with a 32 bit android that significantly underperforms what the hardware is capable of, but the updated firmware is a 64 bit build

I advise you to try this firmware first and see if it works for you. It’s the most fully functioning for this device at the current time. When Gamma has fixed various issues, I would switch to it instead
