My neighbor bought the model too. For some reason, her E6 corrupted the system after unloading. Contacting support at Aliexpress, they sent firmware files for before March and after March. We managed to recover her E6, but I noticed that even in Safe Mode, the E6's native application overlays the Android launcher and is currently impossible to delete.

the system is not that big, so when you press vol +, you get to recovery, there the recovery is not really working. so adding restore of full system from there will make a big difference. second on d007 if I do a factory reset even if I remove everything, like the stock launcher, I am getting it back. so small changes can make big differences.

and on top of it you need to add something special. ok, the LEDs are something, not for me, for me I see more power consumption...add something like slot for wifi on the board

or if those 3 buttons were GPIO and not ADC, for user I was able to boot all other OS without any hacks

so only 2 buttons start and select were GPIO and sacrify the those 2 new LEDs, then it was an achievement. I understand that you need ADC for hotkey to boot into recovery or bootloader ... but volume buttons were enough

and if you want to bring it to the next level you are a SPI flash. I paid 1.3$ for 10, so I assume for a bigger number it will be way less. if you add a SPI flash and add the uboot there, in case the system die or gets corrupted, you can show a custom message, like SYSTEM error, or not detected, etc. the space to add one is there on the board, so there is no need to change the board or anything, just program the SPI and add solder it to the board.

Otherwise, stay safe and happy selling.

The point is that previously the current version of e6, even if unofficially, allowed us to access Android and if we wanted to use it to install apk applications. I believe it is very simple to solve the problem. Provide an image for new and old screens with the Android system without modifications, for anyone who wants to flash their device. This will help the community a lot. As the manufacturer is very quiet, I believe his interest is only in shoving the new device down our throats.

I dumped the image and have access and extract the system.img, I made some changes, however I cannot rebuild the file and the firmware. I think it's too much of a headache to continue with this.

Amberelec is my main system. Thanks to this community I found out about the development.
As an enthusiast, I think it's worth being able to use Android and customize the system.
But without a doubt, Amberelec is much better.

In fact, what I did was a mix of firmwares. I extracted the old firmware. One that has been available here for a long time. Then extract the latest firmware for devices purchased in March. Using another flash tool, replace the newer system.img with the older one in the tool. Magically the system went up without the factory app. In my case I couldn't access the Android without modifications by accessing safe mode. This procedure solved my problem.

This is an Android system that can open PSP software.
It can be realized that when a PSP game is exited, the emulator's own menu is displayed, and the configuration file can be adjusted individually for each game..

installation steps:

1. Shut down and then restart the game console
2. Unzip this file and put it on the USB drive
3. Connect the USB flash drive containing this file to the game console through the OTG interface.
4. The game will automatically recognize this software and then upgrade it.

Started playing with the E6 finally, and while the software is too locked down for my liking, I really like some of the little touches with it. There's some care put into it and unique choices. The forced filters and aspect ratios on the systems are tough, so some other firmware options will be key here (AmberElec ftw!)

I had the same problem when installing Amberelec, I was able to resolve it by deleting the DTBs and placing the new ones that were indicated previously. For some reason, one of the DTB files was duplicated when I copied them and this is causing the problem.

you have to write again the sd card because the installation was intreruppted, most proabally you powered off the console when you saw the display was not working, but the os was installing. write amberelec to sd card, repalce the file and then power on the console with the sd card

are you sure you replaced the files? this is the behaviour when you didn't replaced the files. they need to be replace in the partition named AMBELC. if you are in windows make sure is not creating a copy of the files. to be sure, delete rk3326-rg351v-linux.dtb and rg351v-uboot.dtb and then copy the files in there.

I am having some trouble. If anybody can help with some info I’d appreciate it. Here’s my issue: I was attempting to flash chaos to a 128gb sd card. Followed Hack Around’s instructions perfectly using raspberry pi imager. When finished everything worked as it should and I finalized it on the E6. Afterwards I reinserted my 128GB card into my PC and both windows opened as I expected; chaos and another window with the game folders. In the process of dragging over my games I made some mistake. Now I’ve tried reformatting the card and repeating the process with no luck. I even repeated the process with a brand new card and everything worked fine again until I stuck the card back into the PC. I can’t access the games partition at all. It doesn’t pop up automatically like the first time. I opened up the mini partition tool and saw the partition but can’t access it. I’m really confused because when I try to reformat my card it is only 2GB now. This stuff is totally new to me. Now my E6 won’t turn on. It’s been a mess. If anything, can somebody tell me how to restore the 128gb to factory default so I can try again? I’ve used 2 fresh 128gb sd cards. Please feel free to ignore this if you’re really busy or if I’m not making sense. Thanks

I faced a similar problem. In my case, using the mini partition tool, I deleted all the partitions and created them again, redid the flash using win32diskimager and everything worked for me. Pay attention to the card adapter if you are using it.

I ended up doing the same thing and deleting all the partitions, but I don’t know how to recreate the partitions properly. I’m not familiar with the software at all. It’s all new to me. Now when I plug in the sd card it doesn’t even get recognized by my PC. I’m using a good Anker SD card adapter, so no worries there. Really appreciate the reply.

No. I only used the mini disk partition tool to delete the partitions. I’ve never done anything like this prior to a previous experience flashing garlicOS and I was able to flash the older version amberelec to a card for the E6 successfully, but I have no other experience with any of the software. Just once with balana etcher and once with raspberry pi etcher. The partition stuff gets pretty confusing for me.

Unfortunately now the card that I flashed for the older amberelec can’t be recognized by the E6 anymore so it is a brick for the moment.

Use raspberry pi imager to erase the card, to make it blank as before and start again. Write the image to sd card, install/expand on console, put it back on pc and assign a letter to games partition if is not automatically assigned

and if you are talking about android side, IDK. but if you are talking about CFW I made, then I can tell you is not working as is not implemented. the drivers are there, but there is no UI to allow you do connect anything over bluetooth.

We still have a problem: the battery level display of the Linux gaming system is wrong (the same problem also exists with X55). ok initial thoughts: Mine boots into android, it defaults to a launcher that seems to have standalone emulators integrated into it. This launcher is interestingly not touch enabled. You can choose to go into an android interface from the launcher, android itself works fine with touch. Retroarch does not seem to be included, but the play store is there, although I haven't connected to wifi or tried the play store yet

Stock emu experience is very rough

Hardware wise, it all seems marginally passable, the buttons aren't overly clicky, they're actually a tiny bit on the loose and muffled side if anything. The ABXY buttons are a bit shallow and the analogs are recessed to the point where it seems like the range is constricted by bumping up against the outside housing

screen looks ok straight on but has a halo effect, especially from an angle (will get a picture of this) but resolution and colors seem good. My creen creaks when pressed on the right side
