You need 2 USB cables . After installing drivers you need to plug one USB cable to charging port . Then you need to insert another one to OTG port and press the plus button and it should be recognized

there is a file in the folder which allows you to change to english. is a ini file

do the following. power off the device. insert data cable in OTG port. hold down Volume + button and while you keep the volume + you insert the second cable to Power port and it will recognise it correctly in factory tool

it will be on loader moder and factory tool will force the device in maskrom

if you have roms, you can recreate the folder structure ... assuming is the same as in d007. try only one rom, one emulator. check this video

there is not contact with the factory and none of the sellers were able to provide me the activation code, they said they will refund, but the activation code they don't have it

This E6? I am not sure what you mean but I am in the US and right now, I am using @candid ridge 's AmberElec which is a Linux CFW. He made the E6 easy with the other people here, he just doesn't have the E6 console. With his AmberElec, it's easier to add the games, easier to tweak the options to make things play better. There are some few issues because he doesn't have the E6 but he is fixing them as he can with the help of the people here. I hope that answered your question.

On another subject. I was reading a post from you, on odroid forum. In linage 17.1 there was a mouse mode, was this removed after? Because was a very nice feature for non touchscreen devices.

Ah, yeah, it was hard to maintain as things in Android need a lot of patching. It required framework, input, and launcher patches. But then a lot of the handhelds without touchscreens don't add extra user keys. So there's usually no available keys to launch it. Key combos are another hurdle to implement. 😮‍💨

On paper, it's super easy now. You can just follow the build/flashing instructions from one of the many Rockchip SBC's. The hardest part would but changing kernels, moving E6 changes to newer Android kernel.

The ram would be the bottleneck. The rk3326 has a good gpu/cpu, it's just slightly worse a35 cores vs a53....but it's great with vulkan and emmc.

Android needs like 2gb minimum especially if you want playstore. You can add Zram and swap...but it's not the same.

Primarily for that larger screen. 😄 I found that 3.5 inch is quite small for me. And from Sleepy's videos E6 seems to perform a little bit better in PSP games for me, but it can also be just an illusion.
Does AmberElec on E6 support WiFi connection?

Battery: Can't say, I'm always tinkering, most part of time with dongle wifi and ssh on, so I'm not a good parameter for that, but I should say it is better than R35S battery
Circular D-Pad: Feels good, but some times it get stuck on up or down and may get phantom moves
L3-R3: Yes
max screen brightness: not so bright, the r35s is way brighter, but very good quality screen
Stock firmware: yes it sucks, but you can uninstall the launcher and use it as an android device (wih androd 8.1, 32bit, with no internet) but I was able to run Horizon Chase and Minecraft, so, as you can use AmberElec as emulation tool on sd card, you can have a dual boot, don't have to choose

The one I was using was a class 10 that I use on my DSLR camera but somehow it didnt worked well, using a Samsung one did the trick and things worked without a issue!

I feel like the trimui feels more premium and has a better screen but the e6 has a nice sturdy feel and grip to it. The screen is not too bad. if you use a new SD card, amberelec will be only on SD card. I am not even accessing eMMC because I've removed the entry from DTB. so when you remove amberelec card and put back your roms card from the console, everything is back like nothing happened

think of it like a dual boot. if you have the amberelec card is booting from there, if you take it out, is booting android

Can you share your PSP settings for Arctic Edge please? Are you using any Cheat performance boost for that game? I just installed latest AmberElec on my R36S and this game is still choppy and totally unplayable on any setting for me. R36S is also RK3326 chipset, so I suppose it should run ± the same.

Yes, using 20 fps lock cheat codes and unbufferred renderning, everything else is usual settings for ppsspp E6: everything is on low or turned off.

Fps skip is 1 or off, can't remember, you can try it by yourself and see 🙂

I got x55 ... the software is ok on android, but comparing r36s works better on amberelec then jelos from x55. at this point I don't recommend x55 if you are planning to use it on linux

I don't know about you, but I see the Trimui causing a lot of problems, be it without sound, or another similar problem, I was going to buy one, but I gave up because apparently this batch has problems, and I'll only buy it when a batch arrives with the problems resolved.

Batches after new year comes with latest fw with sound fix and fixed shifts, prefer white consoles as black comes with worse analogs. Stock fw is ready to go, can be set and adjusted with custom themes and Retroarch, dev fw Tomato is updated by Tech Toy Tinker from Discord community. Overall Smartpro feels like premium device, comfortable to use and can be highly recommended to buy! 🙂

Drastic and PPSSPP ok, yaba sanshiro you can remap start button as L3 or R3... Mupen64plus I couldn't find any workaround yet, theorically you can map the buttons with a config file but I can't make it work

Openbor and TMNT port, the start button works as player 2 start button, if you start pressing B button you can play, but you can't pause it or quit, just only using ssh to quit or forcing power off. All ports you can't quit by start+select, so if the port don't have a quit option in menu you gotta stuck, so just quit by ssh or forcing power off

And all 32bits stuff (basically just some ports that uses box86, gmloader or another 32bits stuff) are with rotated screen, is like the rotation patch applied on libsdl2 don't work on it

That's all the issues I noticed so far, hope Hack Around, or anyone else, could help us solving it

I would say that most part of stuff is running very well, depending on your use these issues will have no impact for you

hey guys, can you compare e6 with r36s (buttons, portmaster game like TMNT performance ...)

now in my country, e6 price is ~ 35$ and i think i will buy one 😄

e6 is bigger than r35s/r36s and heavier too, because of bigger screen and battery seems a little better, anyway ergonomy for me is better for long time plays.
e6 seems to have a better build quality, but the digital stick I think it's better on r35s/r36s
some people is complaining about drift on analogs, not on my case, but in the digital stick it may come stuck on up or down sometimes, it is a little annoying but not a big deal

in terms of performance, is kind of the same, since it's the same processor, I can't see much difference

there is still a bug on AE by HA, that is 32bits apps (a.k.a. some ports that uses box86 or gmloader and maybe others) keeps the screen rotated yet, but most part works fine.

and we hope the release of e6 plus with linux may help us on e6 system development
