is there a way to import a gba romset and prioritize a region similar to importing mame romsets?

Doesn't change anything after the fact though so may be faster to make the change then delete the games and reimport (don't delete the platform, just the games. on reimport no need to grab images again)

ah it has NA/US set by default already

also just tried importing a gba romset with ~3.3k roms and was able to trim it down to ~2.1k right away, nice

They still there, there are ways to use LB to actually trim the files as well. Believe RGC has a vid how to with MAME, but it works with any system

Anyone have any settings tip to speed up big box and launchbox? Even running off an SSD it often feels fairly sluggish.

The UI can be a bit more sluggish if it has to build the cache images still. You can force the cache to generate via the options. Turn down the image cache quality will reduce file size and improve it as well. Some delay people report is actually an intended delay (the time between stopping at a game and the media loading) to stop your computer trying to load up a ton of media items for a line that you're only going to be in for less than a second.

theme performance can vary pretty wildly as well. some themes just aren't made to be real performant and it can sometimes show
