One of them, if I let it turn on and run without doing anything or any input, it crashes. Static on the screen. Hard crash. Have to force power it off.

Yeah it’s a long story but one of the many issues with the ace. Rocknix released with 60hz for it but some units just get banding/artifacts on the screen. The screen they used had issues and it wasn’t the same for every device.

I’ve been able to run cuphead, hollow knight, and blasphemous on the ace. With box64. No need for wine. The only issue I’ve had is the controls. Unity games seem to want to do their own thing. No matter what I do to try and make the controls appear as an Xbox360 controller

To add in to what r3claimer said, with the ROCKNIX box86 / wine packages I've run HL2 DX9 on my ACE with gallium-nine (yes pointless when there's a Linux port)... And a couple of older games with OpenGL renderers, eg Need for Speed Porsche, Star Wars KOTOR (which had resolution issues). But plenty of others I've tried didn't work yet, Bioshock, System Shock 2, NFS Hot Pursuit 2 for example.

There is an option in display config that essentially crop off 2 pixel from the original resolution so you kind of get 4x scaling for the 2D elements.
