Watchdog violation

Hi, I recently installed a 1tb nvme ssd in my laptop, for games, but whenever I download a game I get the bsod with the error code watchdog violation, the nvme works, I formatted it, it just crashes my whole laptop when I download something large onto it, the install is fine all gold fingers are hidden and it's screwed down nice and tightly. Also whenever my laptop reboots itself after the bsod, the drive is no longer detected, atm the only fix I got is taking the laptop apart, removing the nvme, then putting it back in. Temporarily it works but I need a better fix.

Sound like possibly overheating of the SSD.

The temps peak at around 75c how do I lower the temps?

Many factors here. Did you replace or add the SSD? what is the SSD? Is there room for a low profile heatsink? Newer gen 4 and 5 nvme can run hot quickly, and laptops have restrictive air flow. You may be able to throttle the nvme in the bios, but that also slows it down.

I added the ssd, it's a gen 4 drive from predator it's a gm7000 1tb

The BIOS option would be to manually change the nvme setting from Auto to gen 3

My laptop is a lenovo brand, the bios is extremely limited

oh yeah, definitely getting too warm. 70C is absolute max you want it to be, like 30C to 55C would be the ideal. low-mid 60s isn't really ideal but should be fine. 70+C is getting into the danger zone.
