This was not an issue before, it was only today that I got a new cooler and my pc had to reset

I think you're suppose to connect both to the GPU right, yeah so if worse comes to worse I gotta go order a display cable. makes no sense when all I usually get is hdmi

let me ask you what gpu and what sized monitors cause I know how to change monitor orders

the only one I know you can't force first is a dvi-a monitor compared to dp or hdmi

I haven't seen a dgpu not be able to support 2 monitors in a long long time, I have 2 currently on my 7900gre a 1440 and a 1080p and they run fine, are they set correctly as 1 and 2 in the display settings?

cause as long as you have the correct and working cables they should work just fine, the only time it might is if you use the wrong type of cable, an older generation hdmi vrs a newer one can cause problems. it should just plug in. and I can use both outs on my 5700g to run my 1440 and 960 monitors without issues
