The main risk to your staked assets is by slashing which happens either due to missing signature (0.01% slashing) or double signing (0.5% slashing), also another risk which can occur is that your validator can potentially be jailed for a set period of time or potentially removed from active set due to inactivity, so you need to keep that in mind as well as inactive validators/jailed validators do not provide staking rewards.

However in any case, the funds are always safe and under user's control.

The scammer likely unstaked your funds with the intention of transferring them out when the unstaking is completed as staked funds cannot be transferred.

The only way to save them would be to be faster than the scammer and transfer to a different wallet when they're unstaked.

I got my keplr wallet hacked recently. Hackers stole funds that were hot and began unstaking. I was able to create script using chatgpt and withdraw funds quicker than hackers, it’s actually fairly easy to test using two other wallets. My advice to you is exactly that, use chatgpt to create script, test it and use it. OR, pay 10% to cosmorescue or whatever

Get a ledger device. Create wallets using ledger. And every transaction or signing you make - you also have to go through ledger. Except, hackers can’t get access to your mnemonic phrase as you’ll have it written down on a paper and even if you make a mistake of connecting and signing wrong transaction and potentially losing SOME funds - you won’t lose all, as they won’t have access to your seed phrase or the rest of the coins

• In most cases, the CEXes don't support direct deposits from bridges, it is not specific to any bridge or chain or anything, just a general observation.
• Since you say you have done this previously with Coinbase then it is a possibility that they might support deposits from bridges but it is something on CoinBase can give a 100% certain answer on.
• The way most people would do just to be safe is, they bridge the funds to their own ETH address, then they would deposit to the CEX from their own ETH address to the CEX address, and some CEXes might require memo so need to check that first if they do or not.

And yeah, calm down, funds aren't in danger or anything ser, if you got questions then feel free to ask, will be more than happy to answer.

They will, it's easy to understand, the funds get unlocked from the bridge contract and gets transferred to the destination wallet.

Btw Lahn you just happen to be the person I interface with. I’m not mad at you lol. These are just odd chnages that accompany money. I bought inj years ago and figured it can be very big so a bit disheartening to see these odds things

The main reason for the new bridge was the new Wormhole update which caused the old Wormhole bridged asset to be not compatible anymore, the new bridge was a must to accommodate the new Wormhole gateway bridged so that the users can still bridge funds from other chains other than just Ethereum as it'll cause issue with the old bridge.

But yeah, it gets better.
Most changes are done for some reason after all.
