FlyByWire only supports the installer, not the 3rd party add-ons themselves.
Please try with a VPN or warp (see bot messages below). You're having a connection issue somewhere between you and the download server.
.econnreset
To verify that this issue is not caused by your Internet Service Provider, please use a VPN service and try again.
We recommend ProtonVPN* as they offer a free plan.
.warp
If you experience issues downloading through the installer, you can try to install Cloudflare Warp / 1.1.1.1 as a tool to have a better chance at a successful download.
Why would I use a VPN? I'm in the US...
And I've never had a problem like this ever before
Your ISP might have a faulty routing. Happens quite often, even for example to the nearest Microsoft servers.
I'm not really very confortable trying to install a VPN
arent those things full of viruses?
A VPN by itself has nothing to do with viruses, but of course every software you install could potentially have a virus. A VPN just creates a tunnel so that you can connect a website through a different network and thus ISP.
Just check that you get your software from a trustful source.
But you can also install warp or manually change the DNS server to 1.1.1.1 if you feel more comfortable with that.
What does ".warp" mean?
It's a command for our bot. It sent you a message below that command.
Is there a setting in your installer to change the DSN?
That doesn't have anything to do with the installer, it's in the internet settings of your windows.
I'm about to go to bed, so I won't be around much longer. If you have more questions, someone else might step in.
