If you have tried the VPN and that still hasn't worked; you mentioned that you already tried an reinstall. Have you attempted to install the FBW Installer with bitdefender or any antivirus disabled?
Also ensure when you're uninstalling the program, that the folder located in USER/Appdata/Programs labeled fbw-installer is deleted as well as the folder labeled fbw-installer-updater in USER/Appdata/Local is also deleted before attempting a reinstall.
You can access the appdata folder easily by pressing the winkey (windows key) + R to open the run box.
Then type %appdata%
Press enter
Navigate windows explorer to access the folders above after uninstalling, to ensure the folders are deleted before installing a fresh copy.
