@torpid meteor uploaded a log, i assume its something with the forge version or dependency version but they all look right to me

  • Forge 43.1.33 on 1.19.2

Possible Solutions:

  • Update Forge from 43.1.33 to 43.1.34

Recommendations:

  • Unless you know what you're doing, modifying your JVM args could have unintended side effects. It's best to use the defaults.

1st is my crash log 2nd is my latest log if theyre not the same

low sequoia
#

hm ok so it's resourceful lib. curious why it says noSuchMethodError

torpid meteor
#

has anyone else ran the mod yet? cause im not sure if the resourceful lib thats available to download is the right one

low sequoia

torpid meteor
#

the dependency name you have for it under alpha jar is different than whats available

low sequoia
#

let me check if gravy uploaded it to curse yet or not, but we jar-in-jar it so it should be included with the mod

#

worst case I can grab you the maven coords for it to download. but if it didn't exist it would have thrown an error about it not being included

torpid meteor
#

hm i tried just removing the resourceful lib i had in my mod folder that i got on curseforge and got the same error

low sequoia
#

ok yeah it's not uploaded to curse. just for fun let's try adding it and see if not including it is the issue

#

but afaik JIJ should include it automatically with our mod so it doesn't count as a curse download but still shows up as a mod in the mods list

#

ugh that'

#

that's fabric

torpid meteor
#

i saw that after i put it in my folder lol

low sequoia
#

ok this is forge

#

add it and tell me if you get the same error. that will confirm what I believe and if you still get the error then it's something to do with resourceful lib but I still don't quite understand why it's an error

torpid meteor
#

different error

low sequoia
#

oh

torpid meteor
low sequoia
#

ugh I grabbed you the sources jar

#

wtf is wrong with me

torpid meteor
#

all good haha

low sequoia
torpid meteor
#

i didnt even know that was a thing so couldnt correct it

low sequoia
#

yeah the sources is for IDE's so devs could view the source code directly rather than decompiled source

torpid meteor
#

okay uhhh

low sequoia
#

hm ok I need to test this in a production env. seems dev is working differently than production

#

goog thing I have curse open so I could check out this flower issue in #1019648929144504433

torpid meteor
#

okok i will check back later or if yuo notify me and i can try again

low sequoia
#

yeah I can ping when I drop the new jar that loads in production

#

should be fairly soon

torpid meteor
#

sounds good thank you :)

#

will be patiently waiting

low sequoia
#

no worries 🙂

torpid meteor
#

would you like these log and crash reports? or do u not need to fix it

low sequoia
#

nah I'll get them myself when I load it so I can see what the error is and debug from there

torpid meteor
#

ahh okok goodluck

#

1st is with 43.1.33 2nd is 43.1.34

low sequoia
#

yeah I'm loading it up now so I can figure out what the error is and why it's happening

rich nebula
#

No worries! I'm in no rush!

low sequoia
#

wtf

#

I ran out of disk space

rich nebula
#

lol

low sequoia
#

ugh

rich nebula
#

Jeez

low sequoia
#

time to clean up I guess

rich nebula
#

Only 500GB??

low sequoia
#

yeah it's like 5 years old lol

rich nebula
#

Mine is too...

low sequoia
#

I paid like 250$ for the drive

rich nebula
#

I have a tb of m.2

#

Da fuq is it?

#

I paid 150ish CAD for 1TB of m.2

low sequoia
#

960 evo

rich nebula
#

Ah

low sequoia
#

I got it right after ryzen came out. like 6 months after or so

#

so it was still new and top end at the time

rich nebula
#

Fair enough

#

I went with Intel

low sequoia
#

apparently I need to consider upgrading soon though

rich nebula
#

How do u see that menu?

low sequoia
#

thats crystal disk info

rich nebula
#

Is that an app?

low sequoia
#

yeah

#

it tells you about your drives

#

I need to update my version though. I think I'm way out of date on it

rich nebula
low sequoia
#

nice. yeah I wanna get a 1 or 2 tb nvme to replace this one

rich nebula
#

My intel has been amazing

#

And it's quite a bit cheaper

low sequoia
#

I'm just not ready to spend a whole day or two redoing my pc bc I'd install windows fresh and all that jazz

rich nebula
#

Why don't you just add another..?

#

U don't have to get rid of it

low sequoia
#

I only have one m2 port on this mobo sadly

rich nebula
#

oof

low sequoia
#

I could and prolly should swap the mobo. I have a brand new one that's been sitting in the box for like 3-4 years now

rich nebula
#

Well u could get an SSD aswell

#

And just move all that onto it

#

Or get a new mobo

low sequoia
rich nebula
#

jesus lol

low sequoia
#

H is a combo of the 3 drives before it

rich nebula
#

I thought you ONLY had 500gb

low sequoia
#

yeah I have 5 total

rich nebula
#

LMAO

#

What drive should I get?

#

I don't think I need another NVME

low sequoia
#

I have an 860 evo that I use for my usenet downloading/torrenting. then I have 3 drives in a pool that I use for storing my movies/tv

rich nebula
#

But I also don't want a turtle speed HDD

#

That makes sense yeah

low sequoia
#

nvme is the way to go for daily use, storage can be mech or even just standard ssd

rich nebula
#

True

#

Which NVME should I go with, with lots of space?

#

I wanna add like 2-5TB

low sequoia
#

I've decided to go with drive shucking siince it's way cheaper to buy external drives and pull them out than to buy just a bare drive

rich nebula
#

Okay lemme take a look!

low sequoia
#

there can be issues with it though. like the drive I shucked I had to put a piece of special tape on one of the pins so it would work

rich nebula
#

Jeez

low sequoia
#

it's bc my psu didn't have a 3.3v pin for it or something. i don't recall the specifics of it without looking it up

rich nebula
#

Off to linus I fo

#

Go*

#

Funny enough I live 15 minutes away from their office lol

low sequoia
#

it's apparently a common issue depending on which WD drive you get when you shuck it since it's kind of a lottery

#

nice!

#

r/datahoarder on reddit would have a lot of info as well

rich nebula
#

Might have to take a look!

#

I wanna do a full rebuild

low sequoia
#

yeah shucking can be pretty good. it's nice to buy a large drive for ~200$ and then take it out and save 50-100$

#

especially if you buy the drive on sale

rich nebula
#

I'm not sure I super understand it all but I'll look up a video

low sequoia
#

it's pretty simple once you've done one

#

but yeah check it out

rich nebula
#

I shall

#

Looking at GPU's rn tho

low sequoia
#

oh nice

rich nebula
#

I think 3080 is gonna be the go to

low sequoia
#

well this would be why I have no space

rich nebula
#

lol

earnest dagger
#

@low sequoia what jar did you give because ik for a fact the JiJ works because I used it when we showed of vitialize and resourceful bees together

#

you need to give the file and ends with -all for it to contain jij

low sequoia
#

#1029095562093543476 message

#

this resourceful lib jar

earnest dagger
#

no not the resourceful lib jar the rbees jar

low sequoia
#

and then the alpha jar I posted in #1028910546935894036

#

there is no -all jar

earnest dagger
#

there should be

low sequoia
#

not for rbees

earnest dagger
#

well I have one from when I ran it like 3 months ago

low sequoia
#

they're the only two jars I got

#

I ran gradle build and that was all it spit out

#

yeah deleted the files and just tried again and that's all I have

#

do I have to use builddependents instead>

#

or buildNeeded?

rich nebula
#

Oh jeez my local Computer store has 4000 series already lol

earnest dagger
#

possibly all ik is this is the one I have in my mc folder from when me and adrian did the vitalize thing

low sequoia
#

hm well buildNeeded only did phos

#

I would expect build to do everything

earnest dagger
#

yeah I would to but forges jij plugin is absolute garbage compared to arch and fabric

low sequoia
#

and buildDependents did basically the same thing

earnest dagger
#

give me a min I think it may just be super outdated because jar in jar requires a version number and I bet that for some reason it will fail silently when it doesnt match

low sequoia
#

yeah and we have to call jarjar.enable() too it looks like

earnest dagger
low sequoia
#

I just found some documentation in forge gradle for it

#

ah ok

earnest dagger
#

go to the bottom of the script is where it does most of it

#

at this point maybe we should switch it to an arch loom project because jij is alot easier on arch

low sequoia
#

lol

#

wouldn't we have to rewrite half the mod then, or would we just not have anything common for fabric/forge

earnest dagger
#

no

#

you can put everything in the specific path

low sequoia
#

hmm

earnest dagger
#

like this is it on arch

    include(modImplementation(group = "com.teamresourceful.resourcefullib", name = "resourcefullib-forge-1.19.1", version = resourcefulLibVersion))

low sequoia
#

looks like this si for forge then

earnest dagger
#

also they have mixin interface injection so we can dont need to cast to interfaces for accessors and our modcompat stuff

#

you have to run jarjar

#

its in the jarjar group and the task is jarjar

#

it runs build

low sequoia
#

ahhh wtf. that's annoying lol

earnest dagger
#

ok just because of that I will be switching the project to arch loom

low sequoia
#

sounds good

earnest dagger
#

because that is annoying af

low sequoia
#

yeah it is

earnest dagger
#

ill make a new branch just called 1.19 because we will be doing both on this version

#

if we can

low sequoia
#

sounds good

#

I'll delete my project and start fresh again with the new branch when it's ready

earnest dagger
#

yeah it should be ready pretty fast

#

I will do some preliminary stuff like setting up some of the crossplatform dependencies

low sequoia
#

sounds good. just give me a ping when it's ready. lol I need to do some cleaning of my hard drive

earnest dagger
#

one thing I do not know how to do would be the datagen but for now I will just let it be in the jar and will find out how to split it into its own module

low sequoia
# earnest dagger here

@rich nebula @torpid meteor try using this and let me know if you still get an error loading

rich nebula
#

kk

low sequoia
torpid meteor
#

when i have the all file in mods folder the client disappears after pressing play and doesnt show up again

low sequoia
#

yeah I'm working out that issue now too

#

the log is like 10 lines long lol

torpid meteor
#

i took out everything so it would tell me what i need to add but then nothing

rich nebula
#

Yeah mine disappears too

heady foxBOT
#

@low sequoia uploaded a log,

  • Forge Unknown on 1.19
low sequoia
#

so weird

#

there's literally nothing to say why it closes out like that

rich nebula
#

That's sad

torpid meteor
#

missing mods.toml file ?

#

whatever that is

low sequoia
#

nah shouldn't be that

earnest dagger
#

@low sequoia I kinda forgot we had phos as a git module, do you think were at the stage where we can just use curse maven or something and pull it instead because idk how arch works with stuff like that especially with it not being cross platform

low sequoia
#

well we owuldn't be able to have the centrifuge multiblock on fabric anyway without publishing a version of phos for fabric or building our own system which woul dbe kind of annoying. we technically could drop the git module but it should work fine.

torpid meteor
#

im not sure about mod and log stuff but i see this line

#

15:08:59] [main/INFO]: No dependencies to load found. Skipping!

#

but there are dependencies it should be loading

earnest dagger
#

well jarjar did inject the jar but didnt inject the json lol

low sequoia
#

well I didn't get that error.

#

ooof

earnest dagger
#
{
  "jars": []
}

good one forge

low sequoia
#

mine just found the mods and then closed out. idk if it should say it found resourceful lib or not but it didn't

torpid meteor
#

when i didnt have the dependencies not in the mod (gecko and phosphoyllite), it said they were needed

#

but then when i put them in it doesnt load them

low sequoia
#

I assume even with jarjar the mod should show up in this list

earnest dagger
low sequoia
#

ah

#

so I guess unless we figure out why jarjar is broke we just have to wait until we've switched to arch loom then. blahhh

#

just curious is this right? bc it doesn't seem to match up with what I see in forge's docs

earnest dagger
#

again I have not changed it since the last time I generated a fully working jar

low sequoia
#

seems like it's just the same thing twice for no reaosn

#

ah ok

earnest dagger
#

so they changed how it works

#

also @low sequoia the phos version on curse is very outdated so people a phos version

low sequoia
#

no?

earnest dagger
#

its from aug

low sequoia
earnest dagger
#

thats aug

low sequoia
#

that's what is in our file too..

earnest dagger
#

no?

#

we have the new validation system that doesnt

low sequoia
#

hmm so then he needs to update that version # and push it to curse...

#

or I have to manually build a jar

earnest dagger
#

yeah manually build a jar and publish it to our maven too

low sequoia
#

I can do that give me a few

earnest dagger
#

ok yeah when that is done I think I can build it on arch because it just fails build because of the missing phos class

low sequoia
#

and it's on the maven

#

I just manually uploaded it instead of publishing it myself

#

so there's no sources or anything for it just the jar itself

#

anyway th ebaby has woken from his nap so I can't do anything more until later

#

I’ll have to talk to rogue about a version bump and uploading to curse. In the meantime we can use the jar I’ve built. I’ll also look at forking the project or something so I can run a publish task and include the sources since we won’t have it in a module anymore

rich nebula
#

Any fixes yet?

low sequoia
#

Not yet. Seems jarjar isn’t working right so resourceful lib isn’t getting added. We’re gonna switch to architectury to use that instead of forge gradle

rich nebula
#

No worries!

#

Just ping me blobblewobble

low sequoia
#

So it may be a day or two before I have a new jar that works in production

#

Will do

rich nebula
#

Thanks

earnest dagger
#

also @low sequoia next time you upload you need to specificly set generate pom to true

rich nebula
#

And thats okay!

low sequoia
#

I could reupload it and set the pom to true and see what to do with it

earnest dagger
#

it works in dev with arch but idk if it will work in prod

#

but it made the jarjar json and it injected the jar

low sequoia
#

Ah nice

#

@rich nebula @torpid meteor try the jar above and see if it loads in production. Also there’s a phos jar above too that you’ll have to use since it seems rogue didn’t publish recent changes were using to curse yet

low sequoia
low sequoia
#

I pinned the jars so it’s easier to locate

torpid meteor
#

still not getting a client to open when i try

low sequoia

i have the forge version listed under dependencies

low sequoia

#

Is that the full error message?

torpid meteor
#

for that line yeah

#

theres another line that says FATAL at the end

#

is that bad

low sequoia
#

Could be. Can you upload the full log?

torpid meteor
#

yeah one sec i was switching around forge versioins

low sequoia
#

I’m just curious how forge is missing unless it’s a version issue

torpid meteor
#

i changed to the newest version of forge and that error line was gone however the fatal line was still there

heady foxBOT
#

@torpid meteor uploaded a log,

  • Forge Unknown on 1.19
torpid meteor
#

heres with the listed version of forge

low sequoia
#

Ok so that makes more sense then. When I built the phos jar I had changed our forge version internally so that is likely the reason for that issue. Let me check the log about the fatal error

earnest dagger
#

ur on an old version of forge btw

#

you need to be on 43.1.34

torpid meteor
#

ah ok

#

still no launch though only difference in logs is that first error line isnt there

I need to double check that though bc I’m pretty sure we got rid of the valid apiary tag which afaik the apiary was the only reason for the mixin

#

I tried to change it with the shadow field I saw in the byte code but apprently that doesnt work

low sequoia
#

Maybe it breaks bc of the intermediaries

#

But doesn’t fabric use srg too?

no

@low sequoia I have a feeling the synthetic field string you had there was out of date

#

because that what I used and it didnt work

low sequoia
#

We need to see how telepathic does it. It’s bc we’re trying to access a synthetic field and you can only get the srg for it from the bytecode of a decompiled class

#

It shouldn’t be out of date. Afaik the class hasn’t changed.

earnest dagger
#

telepathtic grunt does the same thing he just puts the shadow

#

I just need to find the actual field name

#

because I think the one we had was from 1.18

low sequoia
#

Yeah you have to look at the bytecode for it. Or you could just open Minecraft in intellij after changing to a zip

#

Pretty sure the change to a zip and look at the decompiled but obfuscated code was how I had to get the value. Bc iirc the bytecode viewer on the class doesn’t actually give a srg/intermediary

#

At least for that field

earnest dagger
#

for forge being an open source project they sure make it a pain in the ass to find any information

low sequoia

Yeah it is a pain

earnest dagger

And then I would even say remove phos and download from the other forum post so you have the right one. They’ll say the same version number but they actually have different code

Interesting. So that to me looks like a field was modified to a different access level than was expected based on the crash

#

But it also doesn’t specifically mention us though it could mean we have an accessor to a field that was changed by an access transformer in another mod

Thats confusing XD

#

You just let me know what to fix lmao

#

No rush at all

I just need to find out what f_47437_ is

#

Hmm it’s climate in biome. Wonder what would cause that. Afaik we don’t even touch that. Did you add any other mods to atm 8 or just the ones needed for RBees?

rich nebula
#

Any ideas?

I haven’t had a chance to check. For some reason my production setup is still not working. I was just able to get my dev env switched over to the new arch version gravy made us. I have to go to bed shortly as I need to be up in 4.5 hrs for work so I might be able to try it tomorrow night and see what I can find

#

My guess though is it’s a clash with another mod but I’m not sure what mods are clashing

#

And since others were able to test. Especially hulio was able to get it working with over 200 mods maybe it would be a good idea to compare mod lists and isolate what’s different to figure out what the clash might be

#

Would at least help to narrow it down

#

But I could try downloading atm 8 and tossing it in to see what happens

barren eagle

all the mods 8 is made on forge 43.1.27 so changing that to a new version kinda breaks the mods and that pack has configs changed so messes up things

  • Unless you know what you're doing, modifying your JVM args could have unintended side effects. It's best to use the defaults.

Oh wait..

It's because I still had the configs from Resourceful Bees 1.16.5 in my configs folder
